Our healthcare is expensive because of anti-competitive legislation. It would still be expensive or lesser quality under a single payer system, possible more so. The only way to reduce costs is to increase efficiency. You should walk into one of our VA hospitals if you want to see how your aspirations would be executed here in america.
Now you can disagree with all of that, but we nor any other ideology, supports anything being expensive. We just disagree on the solutions.
