I am Hungarian, but i had to move seven years ago due to Hungarian politicians are maling it impossible for people to live. The prices are high, and the wage is too low.
For comparison, my father lives in Hungary. He has to pay for the house or the bank takes it all, bills, food car etc. His wage is 70.000ft, the bank takes 90.000 in dept.

Politics hardly influence your daily life here. Seems like we're going back to good old feudalism around here, same as in Russia or Ukraine etc. A small group of extremely rich and powerful people do everything among themselves. There was a saying here that politics is just a hobby of the rich.
However certainly it is a problem that the most competent or at least the most daring and independent groups leave and all the shit ones stay.
The only reason I'm here atm is because I can earn good money. Eventually I plan to move somewhere quiet to start a family, preferably far far away from bullshit.

A BSc from a Hungarian university makes you less employable in the sense that anywhere you go looking for a meaningful job, they'll take a candidate with the same qualifications over you as they have say a degree from the UK, US, etc.

There should be a purge and a heavy focus shifting towards practicality and STEM-fields, but we have good universities with good lecturers, and have nice research results from time to time.

For example, I'm an agricultural worker (effectively a farm hand). I would earn some 90-120k in Hungary. I earn 600k in Austria. I don't even have to work all year, only ~6 months and live like a king for the rest of the time.
