Its like a bell curve, it helps the people who need it badly, but it hurts almost everyone else

>Live with folks for years
>Ride along for the free healthcare on the family plan
>Lasted until 26
>Obamacare FORCES me to get health insurance OR ELSE get fined.
>Have to keep paying for insurance I don't want

Haven't had healthcare for 10 years AMA

also checkem

I haven't had a job for two years but I just flash this fucking little green thing and the doctors talk to me.

Don't fucking ever wait in a waiting room full of coons though. Fuck those doctors.

So you're almost 30, but still clearly a child.

Yes, it was cheap and the price only went up $2 in 5 years. The shit insurance I have now was expensive and didn't offer anything, I have had it for 2 years and the price has gone up $100. I am dropping this shit.

Before

>young and healthy
>don't drink or take drugs
>don't drive like a moron
>risk of needing expensive medical treatment is very low
>decide not to purchase health insurance yet

After

>young and healthy
>don't drink or take drugs
>don't drive like a moron
>risk of needing expensive medical treatment is very low
>forced to pay for health insurance that's barely worth the paper its printed on or be fined
>forced to pay money to an insurance company for services I'm very unlikely to need in the immediate future

Mostly, yeah. Aside from the very poor, everyone was covered and could do what they wanted. The key was having a functioning and quality safety net, something the Democrats have failed at every single time.

Now the shit costs like twice as much AND coverage for certain proceures/medicines is dropping like crazy.

Obamacare is shit.

Used to be:
>$15 a month
>$100 deductible on 95/5 coverage

So yes, I loved it.

Was $40/month with 1k deductible. Now $200/month with 6.5k deductible. I just skip insurance and go to urgent care once every couple years. Insurance or nor, it'd save everyone a lot of money if idiots, poor, homeless, and illegals would go to urgent care instead of emergency rooms for stupid shit.

>Aside from the very poor
Medicaid?

I am curious where the costs came from. My shit went from $150 to $195 and is going to be $238 next year

>200$ a month
what the fuck, no way

I just paid cash for whatever I needed in my early 20's. Got wisdom teeth pulled for like 150 bucks.

I didn't have healthcare, just an Emergency insurance thing I shilled under a hundred bucks for.

I never go to the doctor, and while on Niggercare, I never hit my deductible. Meanwhile, that coon expects me to pay a tax penalty so he can subsidize trannies and single mothers.

I had a sick PPO before Obama.

Now I'm shafted with an HRA.

Glad I don't plan on anymore kids.

a month or a year?

Yes way.

Mine is 350 a month for a family of four.

^This^

If you're poor its great. But EVERYONE else (especially the middle class) has to pay for the poor people with higher premiums and shitty plans.

If Trump totally destroys Obamacare there wont be a single person who voted for him affected.

My parents health insurance went to $1800 a month. Over 20k a year. $6500 deductible. No dr visits. No meds covered. They make a little to much for subsidies

Started in 2015, went up in 2016, and is going higher in 2017

Yeah, it's that bad actually.

The idea is that, before Obamacare, only people who were sick had insurance and the healthy people didn't have it at all.

Well, insurance needs people who don't use it to offset the cost of people who do use it, so that's about the gist. The idea was to get healthy people to have insurance to start offsetting those costs.

Hasn't worked out that way yet though, premiums for a VAST majority of people have only gotten higher as a result. I don't disagree with the idea of Obamacare, but fuck me is it a horrible mess right now.

I wonder how much you pay in USA for 1 night in hospital with ordinary tests without insurance. It might be funny to criticize everything about insurance, but when one day you need it and you don't have it, what then?

Mine stayed the same through my employer

Per month

LOL! A month, of course.

Exactly this.

I meant are you going to be paying $238 monthly or annually?

So wait, you are being directly billed for a public healthcare program?

Its not about weather or not you need it, it is about legalized price gouging. Insurance and health care shouldn't be this expensive.

yep
the one year waiting period sucked for pre-existings but it was well worth it
PPO low deductible low out of pocket 90/10 reasonable premiums
now it's expensive as shit and they keep jacking premiums while slashing what and how much they cover

>mfw this was all part of the plan

that's fucking retarded. I mean, it probably evens out the same amount of money here but as it's taken out in taxes everyone considers going to the hospital/GP is "free"

can you still have your regular private medical insurance etc. through work? That's how I assumed most of you got by with health cover.

Of course it shouldn't, but that's not the only problem you have. You have differences between states and coverage. So was it better before Obama?

Its subsidised. Your credits offset an even higher price and most middle class people are left with around $200-300 in premiums. The subsidy is huge tho. So if ur family makes over 100k your fucked. Like my parents. The cheapest plan was $1600 monthly.

it was cheaper, and we weren't on the hook for Cleetus' and LaQueefa's triple bypass surgery and diabetes medication

$120.00 a month for me wife and kid 500.00 deductible no co pay for doctor visits before

390.00 a month 6500.00 deductible 50.00 co pay for doctor visits and prescription and I was one of the lucky ones that didn't get cut to 35 hours a week and forced into Obamacare

so yeah fuck democrats

You know what's funny about capitalism. You have like 100% coverage of insurance, then you go to doctor and he tells you that you still have to pay extra aka doctor fees or some bullshit.

>an Obamacare plan for me would cost 7,000 a year with 7,000 deductible

What the fuck is even the point?

I could have no insurance and pay out of pocket for a 14 THOUSAND dollar medical procedure every single year until the day I die and still come out in the same financial position as I would have been with Obamacare.

I joined the Army Reserve to pay for college, and they cover all my health insurance for 50 bucks a month, and I mean FULL coverage. With an annual copay of literally 50 dollars. It's cheaper to repair soldiers than it is to replace them lol. And 11 bucks a month for full dental.

If I hadn't joined the service the government would be taking a fucking arm and a leg from me every single month as I'm trying to pay for college and living expenses. Obamacare is a load of fucking HORSESHIT that only benefits people who are lazy as fuck and poor.

I say lazy as fuck because the only people that benefit are the people who didn't qualify for Medicaid under the old system. People who don't work and can't be bothered to, or people who work and blow their money on frivolous shit. The dems are playing a great game of getting these people dependent on the government. And creating more of them.

I'm pissed. And any other American should be too.

This is what I don't like. Forcing people to buy insurance is really not a good solution to the problem of health care. A system similar to ours would be better.

That isn't how it worked at all fucktard

14k med procedure lmfao!!! What a broken finger? Hahahaha. Nigga ambulance rides are over 3k

Meh, it depended on who you had. Problem was back in the 2000's health insurance companies were refusing to pay up for shit they were supposed to cover. Basically you paid for insurance the company skipped on the bill. The system has been fucked for over 15 years.

Actually yes I did. According to my parents it was under $150/month for all three of us. Also was one of the best plans. Now health insurance costs close to 1k a month with almost no benefits.

trustedchoice.com/insurance-articles/life-health/cost-night-hospital/
>A typical in-patient stay in a hospital is about 5 days, and that may cost you over $10,000.This figure does not include major procedures, ambulance fees, or other charges.

I'll give you shitworld experience of this.

Public healthcare is a scam (obviously). Here, literally everyone who can afford a private insurance company will do it, and almost everyone can (there are very cheap insurances available). Nonetheless everyone is forced to pay for the public structure even if one doesn't want to.

Those who depend on the public "healthcare" literally die on the queues. To have an appointment or surgery one might need to wait six months or more. Public hospitals are littered with filth -- people often die of infections due to lack of plain old hygiene. And this is not because of lack of money; despite the agitprop telling otherwise, Brazil spends an insane amount of money in healthcare (in fact it does spend insane amounts of money EVERYWHERE, including education).

I live in the richest city of the country and I used public healthcare a couple of times. I can assert you it is the shittiest thing you can possibly conceive.

It is not that private insurance is a wonderful world, but that public healthcare is a coup which uses the welfare state as a means to completely destroy the economy. In other words, it is the Cloward-Piven textbook strategy, and it is being implemented right in front of your noses.

I had health care before Obama while working now I dont.

Start making real money or own your own biz and it gets worse. My old mom had to pay for pediatric dental lol

>Nigga ambulance rides are over 3k

You're an idiot
An ambulance ride in my state are paid for by your taxes, states like Illinois had to start charging because niggers and spics were using ambulances like taxis ( and still are)
In shitcago over 60% of ambulance rides never go to the hospital and the "patient" is dropped of right in front of Jaun or Lerooy's house

my company had a "cadillac" plan, no copays on doctor visits, no copays on prescriptions, weight loss covered, etc etc.

they had to scrap it when obamacare came in, because obama promised you could keep your health plan unless it was working fine.

Not in georgia. I just took one with no insurance. If ur a fucking nigger everyrhing is free.

>work for my county government
>everybody says that government health plans are great
>i started right after obamacare started
>obamacare even ruined government health plans
>i have to pay $175 just for a 15 minute visit to the doctor.
>i have a $2000 deductible
>my coworker fucked up her knee, they made her do 5 WEEKS of physical therapy before they'd let her see a specialist
>if she didn't do the physical therapy they wouldn't pay a dime for the specialist

obongocare is some gay jew shit

Lol paid for by taxes so its free.

t. Dumbass Nigger

In USA you pay doctor's visits and prescriptions, even if you have insurance, then you also pay the remainder that isn't covered by your insurance. So that remainder and visits/prescriptions are an extra payment to your already annual payment for insurance.

Religious exception. ;)

Helps to have a Jew for your tax person/CPA.

We have heard that a million times, the problem with our system (US system) is that people are stealing money from the customers they are supposed to serve. There is no regulation on what these people do. We have administration costs, trademarks, copyrights, defensive practices, malpractice, refusal of service and so called innovative costs. Our system is laterally infested with jews trying to take as much money as they can.

You do realize that those prices are inflated BECAUSE of insurance companies and the advent of more socialized healthcare? The company or health agency will negotiate with the hospital and get that price down, then pay and leverage cost spreading.

If you go to a surgery center primarily catering to out of pocket payers, and functioning in a free market you will start to see some far more reasonable pricing.

Just go to the surgery center of Oklahoma website for instance, they have their prices on the fucking site, and major medical procedures are comparatively dirt cheap, and include necessary accommodations.

Pic related. I could buy one and a half of these surgeries a year and still come out better than "affordable"care act bullshit

>my company had a "cadillac" plan, no copays on doctor visits, no copays on prescriptions, weight loss covered, etc etc.
>they had to scrap it when obamacare came in, because obama promised you could keep your health plan unless it was working fine.

I was paying a lot for the plan I wanted.

I have wife and kids, so I didn't want any bullshit hassle for health care.

Social justice dictates that my employer pay a punitive tax for offering such a good plan.

I will probably no longer have that plan.

Punished for having a great plan.
Punished for not being able to afford any plan.

Sounds like a plan!

no my property taxes actually go to pay for municipal services not bullshit nigger programs.

I pay $26 a week for full Blue Cross Blue Shield. Went to the doctor the other day with a $5 co-pay.

It's going up I think ~1.50 total from last year.

The entire medical industry needs to get a serious examination about costs. Doctors become fucking millionaires with shit tier work, and no one can say anything because there isn't anyone immediate to replace them. And the prices of staying at a hospital or receiving medical care is way too high.

And on top of it health insurance companies make tons of money while flipflopping and screwing over everyone who isn't a welfare gibsmedat.

It's all a big mess designed to drain as much money out of the public's pocket while seemingly being hailed as one of the pillars of society (all thanks to boomers getting old as fuck and needing 50 medical procedures to not die already).

Someone needs to come in and tell all the doctors, nurses, and insurance companies looking for an easy paycheck to fuck off.

I still have a PPO. My company gives option for HRA and PPO. Most of the idiots (poor and stupid people) choose the cheaper HRA. It's $17 versus $26 a week base.

HRA's are a scam.

The worst part is that I have yet to understand why obamacare went after cadillac plans

U must be poor as fuck

I had a great healthcare plan in America. $350 every two months. I had a fantastic physician, low deductibles, great coverage. Thanks to Obamacare I'm losing my insurance policy which I've had all my life, and losing nearly all of my benefits.

Now I'm in Japan and I pay $30 a month for healthcare. My American health insurance will be terminated next year thanks to Obamacare, and I'll probably renounce my citizenship along with it.

I'm not paying a dime so you nignogs and illegal aliens can get health benefits when I've been paying my whole fucking life for private health insurance.

No, I make $40k+ a year.

I liked it much more than with Obamacare. That being said, it was still fucked up and mired in shitty regulation.

if i want a lower deductible, it's $300/month. this is in Ohio where we actually have a few different options. counties in Arizona literally only have 1 choice and have seen prices raise 90% this year. Centene i think is the company.

Why don't Americans just adopt a mixed system?

In here you pay a small health tax per year, and you get to choose a semi-private health company out of a reasonable range.

This covers basic health needs which are included in a government "medicinal basket". If you want better healthcare, you can pay more and get it. No coercion whatsoever.

I worked as a security guard before and after Obamacare. Before they offered me free insurance, $20 visit copay, $1000 deductable. After Obamacare went into effect, my monthly premium went from free to $125 per month, $50 visit copay and $5000 deductable.

Fuck Obamacare, and fuck socialized health care as well. I have always had amazing doctors for cheap, even when I had to pay for health insurance before I got into security. Obamacare gave me a taste of garbage semi socialized medical care: lost my good doctors because I had to switch providers and got stuck with shit doctors, slinging pills at me instead of trying to figure out my issues. Also waiting in the waiting room for literal hours before this overworked doctor(dealing with niggers that had "they new freeee obama insurance", mostly complaining about minor issues such as ankle pain) saw me and didn't have time to diagnose anything, so they'd usually give me a prescription and have me come back and repeat the process. I'd take what we had before over "free" healthcare any day.

the supply of doctors in the US is restricted by the government via the "residency program",
they can't make more colleges to train doctors, the existing colleges have to turn away half of the qualified applicants and they can't even import doctors from other first world countries.

The American Medical Association union has fucked up health care in this country and nobody is saying a thing.

I would be careful with doctors and what they claim on page, not saying that you shouldn't improve the whole thing. But why would it matter who does run shit if they all try to screw you anyway at end of day. Nobody is working for the people. Unless people own hospitals nothing will really ever improve to the point to be fair.

I just don't understand American healthcare. A guy from Kentucky explained to me two or so years ago how he was very happy with the original private system and it made a lot of sense to me that it worked for him.

Here we pay a levy in taxes for Medicare when you earn over a certain amount. When I earned over $90k in a year it was around $500. But I don't mind because I exclusively use public healthcare excluding specialists i.e. going to the dentist

My parents (including my father who has had several heart operations) who are wealthy, use the public healthcare system because they have fucking paid for it over their working lives and the doctors and facilities are excellent.

That doesn't exist here. It's bulk billing (i.e. no upfront charges but taxpayer funded) or you have to pay.

This sort of thing happens only because these companies are well lobbyied, well protected in terms of government support. In a truly free market competition these guys would not stand a chance, for the same reason fraudulent companies or stores are quickly exposed when lacking government protection.

So it all traces back to the government once again.

When big corporations with strong ties to the government and the overarching power scheme defraud the consumer, people blame it on "capitalism", without noticing that it isn't even free market competition in the first place, but a socialist-fascist top-down economy created to steal, defraud and feed itself while still offering plausible deniability in the form of blame shifting.

>The entire medical industry needs to get a serious examination about costs. Doctors become fucking millionaires with shit tier work, and no one can say anything because there isn't anyone immediate to replace them. And the prices of staying at a hospital or receiving medical care is way too high.

Health insurance should be about not losing the house over some catastrophic health event.

Not going for an office visit for fucking acne or a sinus infection. That shit NEEDS to be a simple payment.

Doctors are fucked by having to spend money on administrators to deal with insurance.

I went to a based af dermatologist once. Some old lady who worked out of her house. No employees. No nurses.

Just her and her craft. No over-head costs. No other bullshit.

That's how it should be.

But no, niggers and mexishits can't spend $30.00 for an office visit.

Rayciss.

>Government controlled and regulated healthcare
>No coercion whatsoever.

I don't think you understand. Whenever the government forcefully takes your taxes to pay for something whether you want it or not, that's coercion.

>The worst part is that I have yet to understand why obamacare went after cadillac plans

Social justice. Not fair that "rich" people can take care of themselves...?

Nonsense. Healthcare has been a mess in this country for at least 25 years. Probably longer but I don't know.

You don't have to pay if you don't want healthcare

the problem in the us is that the lack of doctors combined with ridiculous health related lawsuits makes basic health care needs too expensive for most people

With obamacare you do

If a clinic that stays alive because of competitiveness in the free market they have a LOT to lose by screwing their customers. A bad reputation will end them. In addition, government beurocrats are looking for any excuse to shut down doctors who don't subscribe to their public healthcare nonsense.

You are still being forced to subsidize others via taxes.

What you're implying is analogous to saying, "I'm not being robbed by the thief if he only takes some of my money and I don't give him the rest voluntarily".

>implying Obamacare isn't private:
>many insurance companies, different coverage, different prices per state, different payments, different deductables, different co-payments, different out of pocket payments, all hospitals privatized, all insurance companies privatized, government is only making the laws, bit that's always the case.

No, but obama care did more harm than good. A few people got care they couldnt get before and lots of people now get less care with excessive premiums. I didnt sign up. Fuck that commie horseshit.

That is what is going to end up happening anyways once the price increases take effect next month. Obamacare is going to be a failure for the democrats

I had to look it up, you are 100% correct
>The Cadillac tax on high end health plans is meant to slow the growth of healthcare costs (by discouraging unequal health coverage and the over-use of care) and to generate revenue for ACA spending.

>public healthcare
You have no idea what public healthcare is. It's one insurance company that covers all hospitals and has same price ranges across the country that is owned by the people of country.

This.

Brazil always has a based free market response for everything. Love you niggaz.

Yes. Paid $58 a month and had the best insurance. Used the fuck out of it. Now I pay $365 a month for the worst insurance. I can't even get my doctor to send a reference to the oncologist.

I agree that taxation is theft, but sadly they cannot be avoided because most people will never vote for a party that will abolish them(right now we have only 1 libertarian party, and it's the first one history)

I get to pay taxes anyway, so why not get subzidied healthcare?

Those of us who had it yes.
It was still expensive but it wasn't 1/5th of our monthly budget, also prescriptions were cheap and the quality of care was high.
Biggest problem was that a lot of people who needed it couldn't get it

Yea. Thats illegal Avii

No. But Obamacare removed the few things that were good about my healthcare and amplified the shitty parts.

nice try Tito

That was another thing that made healthcare expensive. Prescribing drugs to people who didn't need them in the first place or using prescriptions to treat an ailment rather than creating drugs that cure it.

Poor as fuck. What kind of government assistance are you getting besides that $300 subsidy. I'm guessing bare minimum is food stamps.

>I get to pay taxes anyway, so why not get subzidied healthcare?
precisely

it forces ppl who dont have healthcare to have healthcare, if u dont have healthcare u get fined. unironically, the reason most ppl dont have healthcare is b.c we couldnt afford it, so idk how they expect ppl to pay the fine

Public = people aka people decide changes
private = rich people and their stocks, who decide changes
If Obamacare was public it would means people created every aspect of law in it with full approval.
If you run a public park you ask people for changes, if you have a private park the mayor decides all changes. Get it?
