Hello, I am a Korean. Tomorrow, on December 9th, the impeachment motion for our president, 박근혜 (Park Geun-Hye) will be put to a vote. The reason for this is because she has been revealed to have been under the influence of another woman named 최순실 (Choi Soon-sil).
Though all of the details of the matter are still unknown due to the relative recency of these discoveries and the way this has been systematically been covered up over the years, the essential details entail that 최순실 is a member of a secretive cult known as the 8선녀 (the 8 Goddesses) and that this secret society has been taking control of South Korea as a shadow government.
Tomorrow is the day that this will hopefully all come to an end. If the president is impeached, then this will be a great victory for South Korea. It will probably succeed. However, there is still a long road ahead for South Korea, particularly with how this has rocked our political atmosphere.
While there isn’t much that the international community can do for South Korea, I would like to formally ask for the community here to take more of an interest in this case, as well as discuss it further with the details that have been revealed so far. Though I have been unable to find many good sources in English for the community here, I can add on several links to some news websites. I have decided to omit Korean sources.
