What are Sup Forums's predictions for Trump's economic policies?

Obviously taxcuts for the rich and less trade will be good for america.

It's going to be a world of Republican economic porn. Get back in the stock market, it's going for a rocket ride. I've made 5k in the last week, and he's not even in office yet.

I'm thinking it's going to be like Reagan's term. I'm old enough to remember. The first 4 years will be solid growth, until the Dems gets some power back and fuck it all up to make him look bad. By the end of his second term, it'll all be shit again, because that's the only way Dems can win elections.

Go risky for 2017-21. Go conservative/safe for 2022-26.

I don't believe in the protectionism meme. It doesn't make sense for a net importer to raise foreign tariffs on incoming goods. Whilst this will seem good shorthand, in the long run it will effect the greater US economy. Most of those manufacturing jobs shouldn't exist, it's misallocation of resources and human capital to have them, saving them for 4 more years is just a suspended death sentence whilst those workers should be moving into other sectors.

That said, I wholly support deductions on corporate tax and removal of any red tape.

The biggest thing I'm interested in is obscene levels of deficit spending continue.

Speaking as a leftist, I'm cautiously optimistic.

I support the Bannon vision of Keynesian stimulus spending and economic nationalism. I'm eager for Trump to shake up the calcified neoliberal consensus on trade.

I'm worried that short-sighted Reaganite mongoloids like Paul Ryan will ruin everything, though.

Not many. A lot of those factory jobs are incredibly specialised. Jumping from automotive to say, steelworks isn't that simple. Factory lines aren't carbon copies of each other.
