Afterwards, the electors would be pushed to choose an alternative Republican such as Kaisich because of an "on going investigation". Finally, when Congress meets the damning report would be released so they would choose that alternative Republican candidate because of "Trump's ties to Russia". Remember, Obama wants the investigation done prior to January 20th.

The only thing that seems to satisfy me right now is that the election ripped open a portal of chaos into the conventional power structure by attacking the information channels concomitant to this power.
It is possible that russia is using US tactics against them in an attempt to trigger the streissand effect. I am considering this and it does explain certain actions but not others.
The biggest variable is the information channels. The powers that be thought they have created a situation of established hierarchy and enough submissiveness that everyone engages this somewhat predictable system. Since trump has blown away their rational models with his effective communication techniques and direct skill at manipulating media. My theory is that they are doubling down on information control as a means to control the population. It feels like a war of brute force information now. If the election is the battle of the bulge then the information/ideology war is yet to be won no matter how big the victory.
Either that or there is a black operation that is observing how much "emotional polarization via media" can be handled before a violent tipping point is reached. Red gaming is important. Civil war is nearly the only thing that can destroy america.
