What is the threshold of being rich?

10 million euros/dollars? 100 million? 1 billion?

Personally, I would say 35 million is pretty much rich, but say 20 million is quite low, you could become poor again.

>"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

150k + is already rich

>When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Depends on your expenses.
If you have 100 million and every meal costs 1 mil you are poorer than someone with 1 mil whose meals cost 1 cent.

How rich are you if your expenses are zero?

>25 million usd in cash to be rich

you´re a fucking retard. People are rich when they can afford a nice house, car, have no debt and atleast 1 million dollars in the bank in equity. Anything above that is just filthy. So yeah, 25 million dollars is filthy rich imo. Not that I mind at all.

Stupid kraut.

>what is the threshold of being rich?
Being American

>150k + is already rich
BS, I make 250k gross a year and have assets of about 500k and I am solid middle class. I cannot even afford a good car with all this bureaucracy and taxes going to refugees.

You can, you're just to retarded to manage your money

150mil+ usd at least

Tax law benefits the poor and the fabulously wealthy. Upper middle class IE doctors lawyers that are still en route to the gravy train station lose a fuckton of their paycheck.

"Rich" is more subjective IMO.

Growing up I was dirt poor, people who had 2 parents and a house and dinner every night were "rich" to me, even though in reality they were middle class

When you could buy a fighter jet, helicopter, yacht, passenger plane, aircraft carrier, exc. Then you are rich.

>Tax law benefits the poor and the fabulously wealthy. Upper middle class IE doctors lawyers that are still en route to the gravy train station lose a fuckton of their paycheck.
exactly that ->I pay for a shitton of shit which poor people just get handed. I pay for medical treatment not getting reimbursed by fucking GErman health insurance DESPITE already paying a shitton for health insurance. I pay like 60% in taxes and more. And I don't have the time to get through all the bureauracy to have a car and pay for a parking space around here.

If I would have 4 Muslim kids and 2 wives, I would be richer, beause I got all those Muslim tax cuts and a shitton of welfare money for my kids plus a free apartment if my name starts with Muhammed.

>fighter jet
used Mig is ok? That is 10 million.

>helicopter
that is just a mill or two for a normal one

>, yacht
a nice one goes for 15 mill

>, passenger plane
Learjet etc. is 10 mill

>, aircraft carrier
That Chinese aircraft carrier was bought to convert it to a casino, the Chinamen only paid scrap metal prices for it, exc. Then you are rich.

So I guess we are talking 100 mill or 200 mill according to your criteria?

If you are basing it off of wealth, the question becomes how much could a person spend annually, from their accumulated wealth, without depreciating the capital, as well as guaranteeing that the capital will continue to grow with infaltion, plus the annual withdraws could also grow with inflation.

Typically to insure all those goals are met a person can spend up to about 4% of their 'nest egg'. Given that I would say that $10 million net worth is probably rich. That would yield a safe annual income of about $400,000. This breaks down to about $120,000 a year on rent/mortgage payments, which is $10,000 a month. This is using the normal distribution of annual income for living expense.

$10,000 a month on rent/mortgage will more than cover the expense of owning a $2 million plus home.

You're all retarded. Only 1 billion and up is rich. The rest is pleb tier.

Depends where you live, really. You can be "rich" here with way less money than say, west europe.

What is the money required in your country to get a blonde, cute, white gf, a fancy car and a villa at the seaside?

>villa at the seaside

That hurt, Hans.

Why? Just go think of your country's coastal communities, pick one of the better ones and then figure out how much it costs to live in a nice home there.

Surely every nation has many different coastal communities to chose from.

Did something happen to your access to the Adriatic, Dirco?

If this is true you have a significant amount of money and unless you were a complete retard will never know what it is to be short of money, sure you're not rich but you are wealthy

1 million dollars
/thread

>And I don't have the time to get through all the bureauracy to have a car

>buy car
>call Insurance d00d
>go to Zulassungsstelle
>wait
>get license plates
>???

takes like an hour

rich = wealthy

And I know what it is to be short of money. Just 6 years ago I had minus 2,000 euros on my account and no job. Well, yes, I had three degrees incl. a PhD from a top university to my name, but I was still basically bankrupt, with my father dead and my mother depending on me.

So I worked my way up and also invested wisely. BUT, the fucking bureaucracy around here doesn't allow me to by a Jag or even a used Gallardo, because of all the taxes and costs associated with parking space.

Getting a parking space here is hell.

stfu dumbass

You guys are assholes. Stop bullying.

Maybe you guys have some nice lakes, ponds, or streams you could live by?

>I pay for medical treatment not getting reimbursed by fucking GErman health insurance DESPITE already paying a shitton for health insurance.

>Implying the university you attended has any meaning in a country other than UK or US. Nobody gives a fuck if you went to WHU or got your degree at some backwater college.
>If you manage to get a PhD but freak out because you can't work your way around some taxes you are most likely a Fachidiot who can only function in his line of work but fails at life other than that.

P.S. 250k a year is not really enough to be driving around in a Lamborghini. This is more 5er BMW tier.

I doubt he is even german. I guess he is a proxy fag

>Nobody gives a fuck if you went to WHU or got your degree at some backwater college.
I went to the University of Cambridge, dude. It makes a difference if you work for a British firm, which I do.

I'm middle class and you make 5 times as much as me. Sounds like you just suck with money.

idiot -

Yeah, sure.

leck mich

You can't manage your money properly.

~3-5 million USD is "rich" in the sense that you can't really lose it and can live off it while increasing your fortune if you go for safe investments. But I suppose most people are retarded when it comes to finances so that's that.

>I dont have the time to get a car
>browses Sup Forums

>so give all your money to me

>germans complaining over 2-3week waiting time to see med. specializst

in slovenia pepole literally decay because they have to wait 300 days to get checked by orthopedic specailizst

btw you can afford any car with 250k eur/year job
with financing or even without it

I make 90K a year and I consider myself rich.

btw there was swiss user who this morning who posted his kontoauszug
87mil chf

Is that Canadian dollars or American dollars?

...

Yen

Well, now you where the money is at.

anything under one billion is chump change

>250k
>cant afford a good car

I feel you man I make 400 k and I cant even pay for groceries , that middle class feel

You give money to the church. hopefully.

middle class cutoff is 1 million, you're just above the poverty threshold

Simply living in any of the red countries qualifies you as wealthy.

>mfw this is literally gonna be a real conversation in 2050 when the globalist have won

Lol I make 95k and pay almost nothing in taxes. Fuck Germany

And yet I still can't get a good looking gf from the green areas.

same bro i make 600k and can barely afford clothes and have to collect rainwater

1k euro a month

>and have to collect rainwater
Who in his right mind doesn't collect the rainwater? What the hell do you drink all the time?

Money does not equal happiness.

A study found that peak happiness occurs at an income of $75k; after that, it levels off or even decreases.

Barrier to entry is extremely high thanks to copyright and patent laws.

We wouldn't want our government admitting it was wrong for anything would we?

1K is my monthly San Pellegrino budget

>only making $600k
>in America

Wtf is wrong with you, peasant? Drop out of high school or something?

it could be your human slav slave budget

Who is that girl - you tell now, Jose, wanna know!

I've always thought of wealthy as higher than rich.

I've always thought of six figures salary/enough assets to be safe on a rainy day as "comfortable", making upper six figures/lower millions as "rich", and having a net worth of tens of millions of dollars or more as "wealthy."

I could be weird on that though

>Most underrated posts

What are you doing fellow leaf? Are you hiring?

hege bokko

I am still in school but my parents both made 6 digit incomes and we are solidly middle class, no fancy cars, big house or anything but we also had no debts and never had to worry about living check to check.

not by me, 1 out of 1000 posts contain wisdom

"Rich" is when you can safely blow $1000 a week and not notice, I'd say. So, depending on your bills and dependants, where you live, etc., you could easily be at that level by the time you're clearing 150k, even less.

Rich, like Jaguar & Ferrari in your six-car heated garage rich? Seven-figures is still the benchmark, same as it's been my whole life.

Exactly as mine were. And it should be that way.

My parents are very fiscally conservative with their own money, and if you looked at their house, cars, etc. you'd think they were lower middle class and maybe brought in $70k together. But they together make about $150k a year and just keep a shitload of it tied up in low risk investments and accounts. They spend just enough money to be safe and happy, and save the rest in case of disaster. As it should be.

if there is a war impulses on your piece of plastic do not work and your home car etc mean nothing to marauders or local partisans

>lives in a shithole building that doesn't come with extra reserved parking space

how does it feel to be poor?

I wish I were a billionaire, so many public faces always look like they can afford literally everything. Compared to them, I feel pretty poor in spite of being incredibly blatant upper middle class.

Anyone who took this bait seriously is a moron.

>greater than $5 billion globetrotting world elites like zuckerman/gates/slim - rules do not apply

>from $0.5-5 billion
stunted megarich - from tom cruise ($0.5 billion) to stephen spielburg ($4.5 billion) - capable to nearly everything - don't have money or power to directly create world changing foundations, topple nations, massively sway public opinion.

> 20million-500 million
i party on a boat and own a jet, but my grandchildren will be poor.

>5million - 20 million
my children will be poor

>less than 5 million
I will die poor

>less than $50,000
you are poor and a step from homelessness.

Thanks, she married or worse, blacked?

>how does it feel to be poor?
I live in a villa which was built in 1880 - it has several apartments but for some damn reason back in 1880 they didn't think about in door garage spaces.

If you have combined assets (house, cars, boat etc) of 1 million dollars or more, no debt and six figure income i would consider you rich.

Being rich isn't about what you have, it's about your ability to generate wealth/income.

Having lots of money means nothing if you have no means to generate more.

Golden Egg and Hen.

Whered you find this picture?

Is 1000 a week meant to be a lot?
Id say 10 million in assets to be rich.
That way you can afford several kids, live a good lifestyle yourself and a housewife and a maid

Seriously? I have that much in my checking account.

>my children will be poor
Who cares about one's kids? You fuck girls, that is what you do. Kids should do their own thing to get rich.

>mfw when air force reservist
>mfw anticonsumption/survival/hunting/fishing/etc for fun
If war comes, we will be prepared

i think she's Norwegian so, blacked with sudanese void dick

Having lots of money can generate a comfy living through stock dividends alone though.

Damn, who is that girl? Canadian?

mmmm sort of, but not quite right.

the number one incidicator of being rich is capital, such as investments.

the ability to create wealth, at least through labor, is not actually highly associated with being rich

i read somewhere that only about 10% of doctors are millionaires, but 25% of business owners/mba graduates

but most cucks will die even if not killed by someone intentionally

I would say you're rich when your current holdings earn enough money by themselves for you to be able to live more than comfortably without working.
Most really, really wealthy people don't actually have to work anymore because they have set themselves up such that their wealth perpetuates itself. That's when you're rich.

Yeah, but if people buy typical "just got rich" shit with a sum they might have won from the lottery, it won't be long before they will be poor or the same again.

No idea

>not having your own 30yr tenure MD live in doctor
>rich
when top athletes need their 'tommy john' surgery, they get tommy john to do it. they at least go to doctors who give 6 figure bills for house calls and don't take insurance. they live by a different rule set. you got a cushy life, but you are one tragedy away from poverty.
you sound like a materialist dirt bag who looks down his nose at people

Investing is what I was reffering to.

I make around 175k/year but it just means I don't have to worry about money for little things. Big things like a car, house, retirement I still worry about.

I think "rich" kicks in when you don't have to worry about even the big money things anymore.

You are right my nonstupid American friend.

I was in a rich kid public highschool as a low/middle class kid. When I went to my friends houses and told them I was amazed by their home and how lucky they were to be rich they always told me they were not rich.
Pic related is the kind of haussman house they lived in.
