How long will I have to work to get back to my old wage?

How long will I have to work to get back to my old wage?

Lol, what happened?

Quit when I found another job, didn't work out so I reapplied. Sucks

Once you hit a milestone on your wages you actually LOSE money by earning more. Example:

Annual Salary: $39,999
Tax rate: 33%
Salary after taxes: $26,800

Annual salary: $40,000
Tax rate: 35%
Salary after taxes: $26,000

Why Job do you have?

Ah ha ha ha! Better buy some good lube for your asshole, dude. Oh wait, you can't afford good lube! TAKE IT DRY

no dumbass, we have progressive tax brackets

Tax brackets are for the marginal dollar you ignorant troll

I'm working as a researcher so I do not know if it is the same logic but:
Resigning means that you have no loyalty to the company. Thus you got rehired because it costs money to retrain someone in your position, but as soon as they can replace you they will.
What you could do is take more responsibilities on you/new projects so that you raise your value again for the company.
(In my case get a new grand, binding your project to your name etc)

But wouldn't only that one extra dollar be taxed at 35%? The other $39999 is still taxed at 33%

Retard alert. This guys has no fucking idea what he is talking about.

You are correct.
Ignore him, he's retarded.

You're fucking retarded, even I know how the US tax system works.

typical right wing retard has no clue how marginal taxation works

>Resigning means that you have no loyalty to the company.

No, I told them I wanted to advance my career so when I realized it was a dead end because of the lack of opportunities, I decided to apply elsewhere, but it didn't work out

Also to add, it's like 10 sales rep jobs, with 8 working there for 20+ years and only 3 management jobs, so I was limited

Answer my question fuckwad, what's your job?

Account Merchandiser

I'm actually a left wing college graduate thank you very much. Fucking idiot.

>but it didn't work out
You keep saying this but you don't specify. I'm getting the feeling you got fired and had to crawl back to your old job.

This. 100%.

You were so obviously desperate they undercut you so harshly.

That explains quite a bit.

lol you'll never see $15/hr again, much less your old wage.

No, my friend said the financial analyst job was mostly excel shit, but it was actually finance.

I'm not sure I wrote this but my job is unionized

Jealous of someone smarter than you drumpf cock suckers? I bet you're white, male, straight and in your 20s. You never went to college and you play video games in your parents house all day.

A union for excel number crunchers? Bullshit.

>New Hire 13.30
>Rehire 10.75

They aren't best please m8, probably never see that wage again.

No, my current job, why the fuck would you think excel monkeys are unionized?

>rehired for 2.55 /hr less than the first time
Fucking wrecked. No loyalty no money son

I guess I haven't said this but the job posting was for that wage

dang man, 10.75? is that minimum wage where youre from?

you wanna make 18 buck an hour? get a construction job and work for two months straight, even get some saturdays in there if possible. youll start at 16 an hour, but once you show the boss youre dependable and put in work, they would gladly give you 18 bucks an hour

No, I'm still applying and waiting for ones I've already interviewed for.

lmao, $18/hr is decent money for a worthless millennial

looks like you worked there 2 years and thought you should be the CEO

they'll never let you get back to your prior wage because they know you're disloyal

Bump

wage slaved and cucked :^)

checked and kek'd

lol right wing retard pretending he got an education

Almost everyone I have talked to do not know how it works and actually think that progressive taxation causes you to earn less after the threshold.
There seriously needs to be better education on this.

Is that you, Obama leaf?
