Larry Lessig, leading pimp for the faithless elector campaign to dump Trump, is smart enough to be a law professor (i.e., pretty durn smart), but he's a guy who promises more than he delivers.
W/o even looking into this very closely - just sufficiently to know LL is wrong - I predict with complete confidence that this project will fail.
I remember a decade or so ago when Lessig pimped a lawsuit designed to get the Supreme Court to overturn recent federal copyright legislation.
Copyright law is something I know a little bit about, and I could see that Lessig's arguments were shit; it was clear that the legislation - however undesirable, and I personally hated it - was well within Congress's express authority under the Constitution. I *knew* he would lose, to the extent that it wasn't even worth the time and expense of making the argument, it was such an obvious loser.
But he pressed ahead, with constant hype, then proceeded to lose, with little fanfare.
I'm not expecting him to pull it off this time, no matter how much hype and bluster he pumps out. In particular, a Wesley Pruden article in the Washington Times that Drudge linked to yesterday states that the anti-Trumpers are *well* short of the needed number of faithless electors to overturn the results -- like, they're not even close.
Larry Lessig does not know how to win. If you're a Trumper, don't let this nonsense worry you, if you're not, you're a fool for putting your trust in Larry Lessig.
