I'm kinda thinking about touring Best Korea. I find it fascinating that a 100% communist state still exists, like seeing first hand what things were like for the Soviets.

I'd also like to shitpost loudly when/if I get there. How long could I get away with waving a big US flag and maybe flip off the statue of Kim Ill Sung while I do it?

Would it be possible to "accidentally wander" into a residential area or someplace where tourists generally aren't allowed into?

youtube.com/watch?v=aRYJ9u0sEE4

Could be fun as long as I don't get shot/beaten.

Pick one.

If you act like that you'll get taken in. They don't give a shit and will look for any excuse to lock you up and use you as some sort of way to negotiate with the U.S for more gibsmedat

If you want hard labour for twenty years then go ahead, but I am warning you seriously here.

I have been to North Korea. I highly recommend going, but not if you're going to be an autist. They will be very happy to arrest you indefinitely and trade you for a bag of rice after several years of unpleasant captivity. Google Otto Warmbier for reference.

Have fun shitposting you idiot
Also look up north Korean death camps
If you are there you should fucking behave or get ready to get fucked

>Would it be possible to "accidentally wander" into a residential area or someplace where tourists generally aren't allowed into
Yep, but you may "accidentally" end up in a camp

>Could be fun as long as I don't get shot/beaten.
That's where your plan falls apart.
You'd be spending the rest of your short, agonising life in a NK political prison, which are basically concentration camps.
I recommend reading some books about best korea to see how they treat their prisoners.
In short, daily beating and a small ball of deep fried millet until you die.

What happened that guy a while back who tried to seek asylum in NK? The guy in the black polo neck looking extremely regretful during some kind of NK mock trial.

Go ahead and read on their official page. It says clearly no Americans twice in every paragraph. It's like a Jew trying to visit Iran.

just dont take any posters

>op's future

Hi, I've seen North Korea personally. Around the area where the first set of tank walls are is where the communications jamming starts and your cellphone is useless. As you get closer to the DMZ you notice the vegetation on the North Korean side is barren. They've tilled and eaten everything from it. Next you see the signs that say "Our General is better than your General" and the skinny, malnourished North Korean guards that are supposed to be some of their more well feed troops (for appearance purposes). You then reach the actual DMZ line and you notice the guards are looking towards North Korea to stop you from leave.

By all means, go ahead you fucking retard. Enjoy your 5 years of hard labor only to be rescued by Dennis Rodman of all fucking people.

This is good advice.

North Korea has a long history of locking up people that really dindu nuffin just to try and secure more humanitarian aid from the US.

You better hope Trump bails you out.

>Muh not real communism lol

Tell us the part where "real" communism is run by a hereditary dictatorship.

Shit.

What if I just embroidered my flag onto my Bag?

Or would that also be pushing it too far?

I looked into doing this, however you have to go through an official tour company and the total cost for 5 days is extreme. You have a tour guide and cannot go off on your own, you have to be accompanied outside your hotel by the guide at all times.

You can probably get away with it, but it will be pointless, you will not have any fun conversations as a result, and there is a small chance that it would upset someone that you don't want to upset. Just go, keep your mouth firmly shut for three days, mail a postcard to your mom that says "death to america", and then come back with a broader understanding of the world. If you can't keep your mouth shut for three days, NK isn't for you.

Thread is making me want to visit north Korea.
It's the same feeling I have when I get on top of a tall building and wonder how it would feel to jump.
I don't go on top of skyscrapers anymore.

Wouldn't work. You can't even take jeans into the country.

This is false, for anyone wondering. You can wear basically whatever you want, but they do want you to have something moderately nice if you go to their dead dude museum.

A Romanian coworker of mine has been there and said that tourists are treated fairly well as long as they don't act like retards or try to make waves. Best Korea somehow feels like they have an image to uphold.

From what I remember,
>You can't take pictures outdoors
>Citizens must bow whenever they see a picture of any of the presidents outdoors.
>You can't speak to citizens.
>You can't leave your hotel room without your supervisors.
>You can't fold a paper if it has a picture of one of the presidents.
>You'd mostly go on guided tours where they'd show you beautiful places and prove how developed Best Korea is

it isn't real communism since real communism isn't achevable so they always end up as totalitarian dictatorships

>heavy collectivism
>highly authoritarian
>labor camps
>propaganda everywhere
>was even run by the soviets for a while

Sounds exactly like communism to me, Just replace Kim Ill Sung with Stalin and it's basically Soviet Moscow.

Still sounds interesting, I might still go. Not talking is very easy.

Wait are you allowed to interact with the locals at all?

>Implying that North Korea is not a base for Earth Defense Force

The whole communist "do not enter" is just a front to keep peying eyes away.

hahahahah u would be killed in an instant user dont do it.

their intelligence always monitor any phone calls, that includes internet. wouldn't be able to shitpost from best korea too. To get out of the korea u have to pay border patroll officers in advance to not shoot at you while you cross the river to china.
Also if u do anything wrong they could end you.

Kim's predecessor used to kill people for stealing, and petty crimes.

Kim, however, kills whole families for something one of them does.

If you fuck around as a tourist in North Korea you will likely just get put on a plane and sent home (or to Beijing, as is the case). The people who will get in real trouble are the North Korean operatives who are acting as your "tour guides." Although these people aren't above being bribed and that's what you do if you want to see no-go areas.

North Korea isnt in the business of fucking with tourists, they actually need the shekels. The few people who have been shot or imprisoned on those tours are most likely legit spies.

Explain Otto.

It's literally mutated national socialism. They don't even pretend to be communist anymore. No references to Marxism or anything. Inform yourself.

I would move there and pay tax to support the great leader.

Not gonna lie it's pretty cool that based Korea even allows foreigners to check out their country. Would the USSR even do that?

Mostly you can't interact with locals, just the guides (who are pretty cool). Depending on which tour you do, there might be opportunities for unscripted chats, but you'll need to speak fluent Korean. You can sometimes talk with the hotel workers, who will speak some English, but they're shy and you should keep in mind that everything that happens in the hotel is heavily monitored.

Yes, you could visit USSR all the time, especially after Stalinist period.
It was a lot easier if you were from communist Europe though.

soviet union wasen't really communist either

North Korea has:
>Classes
>Money
>A state
All of those are required to be gone in true communism. Like mentioned, it's mainly another version of socialism.

kek, are you one of those faggots who believes that the reason communism failed miserably in the 50 or so countries where it was tried is because it wasn't "real communism." Sounds like a cop out to me.

There were no communist countries ever, and communism and country are incompatible. Communism is a stateless society.
There were Marxist states that aimed to "build communism" but how much they followed Marxist thought is debatable. Some like Khmer Rouge really had little to do with Marxism.

So did the Soviets

Yes, remember that Comrade Bernie Sanders honeymooned in the CCCP.

>giving money to a totalitarian regime
>risking getting arrested by some totalitarian fucks with ass backwards rules about everything

Enjoy getting arrested for wearing a bad t-shirt and getting the shit kicked out of you in a prison camp you bumbling retard, might do you some good, actually.

It's not, you're using terms badly. And ignoring reality.
It's like how liberals call anything right of them "fascism". Don't be an idiot and don't be smug about being uneducated.

no seenot that i expect anything else from a leaf

I too think it's Fascinating that such a place still exists, I wanna go on a little trip there aswell. You can get a flight from China to it.

They are pretty tourist friendly them, So i'm not too worried. Just do as they say and you're all good.

It reminds me of 50's Communist CCCP, Soviet Union Style.
I never got to really live in the time when communism was at it's peakest. This could be a one-time experience probably one of the last places on Earth that resembles such things in the 20th Century.

And plus, It'd be interesting to see what daily life in a commie country is like

Have fun being forced to stay.

Again, as some guy above said, you put your life in danger and you're funding a monstrous regime indirectly.
If you wanna know how life in socialist country looked like, ask a Russian, Yugoslav, Pole.
By the way some call Belarus the last remnant of USSR. You can visit Belarus easily and stay safe.

so in the not too distant future growing and selling tobacco illegally may become more profitable than weed

good to know

No, a stateless society is AnCap; almost as bad as communism.

Marxism functions on the notion that inequality is inherently bad and actively tries to force people, inherently individualistic humans, into equality which therefore requires a state to enforce.

For this reason "real communism" is a contradiction in terms and is really just a Jewish tool made for the sole purpose of destroying countries.

Experience is more valuable than tales in my book.

This is my only go at life in this world, North Korea is not gonna be there forever friend. It's definitely worth the deadly risk in my books. Anything is if it's worth the experience.

>By the way some call Belarus the last remnant of USSR. You can visit Belarus easily and stay safe.

Why is this? Belarus just seem like a Ukraine clone desu.

North Korea is like - The real deal man, I'm just obsessed with such things.

Okay, I respect that. But NK would be the most extreme example of "communism".
>Belarus
Not really, they retained most of vestiges of USSR. Even their secret polices is still called KGB.

NK is really not dangerous at all. Follow the rules and it's basically any other tour, just a cooler destination. If you have the slightest urge, you should just do it.

Another interesting place to visit if you want to get off the beaten track is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transnistria. Getting a visa for more than a day is tricky, but things are a lot more open than North Korea. You'll read about corruption at the border, but when I was there a few weeks ago they seemed to have dealt with that. The only big no-no is taking pictures of the KGB/military buildings, but even for that I was just detained for a few hours.

>Soviets
>Communist

You can call Stalinism anything you want other than Communism.

Good cheers m8.

I just came to laugh at leftypol and the "not real communism" meme.

OP if you go can you look for my grandfather's eye? He got it shot out in '51 while killing commies.

It isn't really 100% communist. They're more into businesses now, even international capitalism and crap. I think that's a good thing.

You can visit residential areas, rural areas, rural residential areas, farms, etc.

No?
This.

That sounds cool.

Amusingly, Kim Il Sung wrote about the annihilation of ruling classes and all, but then ended up saying "Nah we gotta keep it for longer until we get everything fixed up, THEN we'll get rid of it, duh!"

Go to Cuba instead.
$1 buys you a bottle of Cristal and the people there actually like Americans for the most part.
When you end up in Old Havana, head to Habana 61, it's a little place tucked in there that looks like an upscale New York place and tastes amazing.

Why would anyonr ever want to drink garbage spic beer?

I'm willing to take the Risk user, I appreciate your concerns. But just live as ya want man. As long as you aren't putting others in danger.

Huh, I might have to do more research on belarus. I'm interested.

Yea, that's basically what i was saying it's not really that dangerous many tourists go there all the time.

Is Transnistria like the last Remnant of the USSR? Their emblem and flag are.. Just like the USSR's.

...

I visited the country with some organized tour I can answer questions

...

...

...

...

How about $5 for a bottle of Havana Club rum?

was it really worth the money? Don't bullshit me.

Is best Korea scared of the Don? Too many propaganda threads lately.

>open source tractors

Do the girls there like foreigners?

>you will never show a nork girl what a highly developed market economy with lots of personal freedom is like

Lol, what a fucking idiot

USE UBUNTU

KCNA has had both a positive and negative article about him.

Who knows.

You aren't one to talk about idiocy, Ivan

youtube.com/watch?v=m6ZXOLbFD6M

The longer the tour the more you get for your money (daily cost go down for long stay). There is a lot of extra, beer ticket to mass game, circus,...
Overall it was the most expensive vacation I went to (in par with USA and Japan). It was really interesting, if you have no specific curiosity for the country or you are tight with money don't go it can get frustrating. Without the flight to China it was ~200€ a day

And how much did you spent for your entire vacation?

> Do the girls there like foreigners?

Some local girl are be fascinated by white boi, but language will be a huge difficulty, and you will move very often. Female guide are friendly, some really pretty. Don't go there if you want to fuck (20 day with no porn was definitely a good point)

France beijing flights 500€ + extra in China 200€
Dprk tour ~4000€ for 21 days
Extra in dprk 400€
Visa china + dprk 120€

nowadays its 1300-1500 euro for a week (from Bejin) . You need at least 1k to enjoy your stay there.

Thanks, guess I need to save another 2k€ to enjoy NK

nice argument, faggot

>200 euro per day

Tell me that you added a 0, please

How can FUCKING NORTH KOREA be more expensive than New York?

Nop, it includes transportation, accommodation and 3 meals a day with one beer included.

Short stay are a lot more expensive

What a well thought out and intelligent reply

Get the fuck out filthy slavshit subhuman.

youtube.com/watch?v=jWTGsUyv8IE

Putin is a piece of shit

I went with the most expensive tour agency, the price also includes a western guide

There is interesting stuff in NK

the bigger the group the cheaper.
Koryo Tours?

North Korea isn't a communist state. It's a dictatorship

Yes Koryo

>I have no idea what is in the Youtube links but I already know you are retarded

yup. you have been scammed

DO NOT GO. YOU ARE NOT SAFE.
If you do go, make sure you suck Kim Jong Un's dick and asshole, and buy a trashbag of North Korean weed. Low quality weed is common in NK.

He's technically right. It's Socialist.

>Going to NK as an american

You're gonna get fucked 100%

Try not to start any problems. I'm also interested on visiting Best Korea because my great-grandfather was best friends with Kim Il Sung.

American must leave the country by plane (100€ extra) and can't do some stuff yet pay for it.

Also group are full of leaf and straya

All communists states are dictatorships, so you are wrong.

Captcha: Mariachi Marwicks

i dont remember (((sanderson))) being a cosmonaut

Yes. Also Soviets could visit the west but you had to leave your Soviet passport at the embassy so you couldn't just go to another country.

If you're worried about getting fucked by Korea, just buy a pin of their flag and wear it on the trip. They'll like that and are less likely to kill you

They literally hang pictures of Comrade Lenin on their walls and buildings

I booked a trip to north korea for next april. You can go there as a American but definitely you can not accidentally wander" into a residential area or someplace where tourists generally aren't allowed into. They well hold you there, humiliate you and the US does not have a embassy overthere so you will get almost no help. Just do what they tell you and you still be amazed as fuck.

Shit does that work?
I thought they kick he shit outta you for "disgracing" their flag.

You're thinking of ipdambae, which is a tobacco, not weed.

Nah son.

Just get one of those formal flag pins like pic related
