He's just trying to keep his country together. Poor fucker probably wouldn't have got much sleep before the Russians arrived after seeing what happened to Gaddafi and Hussein.

He survived a full court jewing. I want him for UN Secretary General

Maybe, maybe not. I don't know enough about him to say. You can't maintain any sense of order in that corner of the world without putting your boot on a few necks. It's unethical to judge him by contemporary western standards.

Media portrays him as a bloodthirsty despot when he's really just the guy that all this shit fell to. As far as I know, he didn't want anything to do with ruling Syria... but his brother or some such wound up dead and it was either step up or watch your home fall into anarchy.

The redpill is Syria doesn't have a Rothschild backed central bank... just like everybody else on the western world's most wanted list... which gets smaller with each passing president.

Doing everything he can to protect his country from the CIA's pet jihadi.

He's not great but still better than the terrorists the US is funding to take him out

Ironically, Assad is a member of a ruthlessly oppressed minority sect called the Alawites. If he weren't in power, his people would literally be exterminated by the same people Obama has been arming. Middle eastern leaders who aren't brutal get taken down by other middle easterners who are brutal.

the same reason milosevic was hated, he didn't wanna bow down to globalists. i've seen that movie before.

To put yourself in Assad's position imagine a dozen car bombs going off in DC, multiple assassination attempts on Obama's cabinet and half the US under Russian, North Korean and Iranian or other foreign influence being armed to try and kill Obama and take over the US.

Now imagine Obama's reaction, likely a brutal suppression of this foreign sponsored uprising complete with bombing the shit out of rebel held areas in the US.

...

etc., etc. always the same trick to fool the normies.

Has hot wife.

Anyone have the nudes?

Milosevic wanted Greater Serbia, a globalist ideal

>All serbs are the same everywhere so we should unite them in one mega nation, fuck countries and borders n shiett

America is trying their best to take over some land like they did in Egypt and Libya but can't Ass the Assad.

He's not. He's the democratically elected leader of a sovereign nation fighting literal terrorists and opportunistic slightly less terrorists whom the US is backing because we have a boner for destroying the Middle East

This.

The US backs goat rapist known as the "moderate rebels", due to lies from the UN they think Assad's election was illegitimate and they want to establish their own Islamic state just like every other jihadist group in Syria.

The goat rapist started getting blown to high hell by Assad but civilians are caught in the crossfire ( being used as human shields). Due to all of the collateral damage the goat rapist rebels now have material to make anti-Assad propaganda, give to the media and get more support from the west and NATO.

The media like CNN paints him as the bad guy to sway public opinion into justifying supporting jihadist goat rapist rebels. Now most american dumb-fucks who no nothing about whats going on there (both progressives and GOP neo-cons) assume that he just woke up one day and decided to randomly bomb his own people.

know*

He is strong, his military is no joke either, I grew up there, and I can tell you that people love him. Both Christians and Muslims live together there, something you don't "expect" from other countries where the burger leaders got jealous of.

you are too young to remember this but for more than a decade the us got shat on for being pro-arab dictatorships

it was a legitimate criticism so the ruling elite started to turn around but the PNAC got greedy and undermined our authority

now ridf shills dictate the narrative

His eyes look way too small for his head.

hes a cretinous moron that has no clue how to do anything right, thankfully putin stepped in and saved his regime otherwise syria would no be run by ISIS or al qaeda affiliates

hopefully he has a stroke in a few years and someone more competent takes over

Assad is bad because Russia wants to build an oil pipeline through Syria that will make them competitive in Europe. The kikes that occupy Western governments around the globe cant have that, so they decided to use US taxpayer money to fund "moderate rebels" in Syria aka extremist Muslims who defect to ISIS at high rates with weapons, money, and training.

Then when the government caused a nasty civil war that killed hundreds of thousands of innocents, they tried to soothe their conscience by inviting 1 trillion refugees into the west to rape and murder taxpayers.

He's against the kikes and you know how that always ends up

Assad is sort of a moron. He's not exactly smart enough to keep his country together and he's turned most of his cities into rubble. If there was an election he would be removed.

shut your whore mouth. most of the cities are functional given the conditions. Western influenced civil war is what he is fighting against you jewish bastard

Do you think that Assad's troops shooting into the crowds of protestors was a good idea? I suppose you think Assad is blameless for leading his country into chaos?

>Do you think that Assad's troops shooting into the crowds of protestors was a good idea?

it worked for his dad

also, those protesters were not Syrian citizens

the mentality of middle eastern armies is essentially "start shit get hit" with protests. This is a blanket truth to all arab armies

He hates Sunni and shakes hands with Russians as well as Persians. The big Sunni states, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, are
under Western control. Russia wants its own Muslim pet states and this guy is playing along, so they protect him for now. Very similar to the relationship Saddam and USA used to have.

>oakland

nice

Lion of the Middle East
The only politican in the Mohammedan world that acts somehow rational and nationalistic, the redpill is that sunni's literally HAVE to be hold on the leash, due to the fact that they act subhuman
Assad is a strong and disciplined politican, exactly what the Muslim world needs

He was never supposed to be in charge.

His older brother was groomed to be successor but he died in a car crash while Bashar was studying to be an eye doctor.

You cannot have much of a democracy in a country where 10% of the population believe that strapping a bomb to yourself gets you into paradise.

He's loved by people on this board who believe in conspiracy theories.

prior to this war, the main criticism was that he was too soft

For example, he allowed political parties like the Muslim Brotherhood to restart operations, something his father would never have done.

His regime killed thousands of his own people

Redpill: he's incompetent.

Based Hafez would have dealt with those Islamist tusken raiders before shit spun out of control

>All that stress for 5 years
>Not 1 gray hair
>Not bald
>Not killed by political elites

Is this man some kind of super human?

He's destroying his own country and mass murdering his own people so he's not what a quality politician would be, but since it's the middle east maybe he's not that bad.

>nice try Slobo

I don't really understand why the US hasn't flipped their position on him yet. His winning is inevitable at this point. They gain nothing from backing the losing horse

He's not great, but he's a lot better than the rebels.

>(((protestors)))

They were foreign agitators and they were shooting at security forces

do you even politics bro?
He's the only hope for Syria since he's a secular leader. Remove Assad and you'll get Lybia/Afghanistan/Iraq 2.0 - Neverending war.

>Destroying his own country
yeah, because ISIS bases are in some parts of his country

fuck off, nice b8 but you still triggered me
the fuckin "protesters" started the violence back in 2011

thats probably true. hafez would have never let this happen. but to be fair, it must be difficult for any leader to deal with violence from "protesters" as it happened in 2011 in syria

Assad was democratically elected and ran his country relatively peacefully for a middle eastern nation. Since he'd spent time studying at a university in London he actually had a favorable view of the West as well.

But then Qatar and Saudi Arabia decided they wanted to build a natural gas pipeline through Syria and on to Turkey so they could sell it the EU and make lots of money.

But Russia's economy is reliant on its natural gas exports to the EU, so the Qatar-Turkey pipeline represented an existential threat to them. For Assad to maintain friendly relations with Russia he had to turn down the pipeline.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar weren't happy about this, so they called on the US to do something about it. They donated money to the Clinton Foundation and offered to pay for all the military expenses required to topple Syria's government.

So we got to work and started disseminating propaganda and inciting/manufacturing protests to undermine Assad's government and started training and arming rebels to eventually overthrow Assad's government. Assad reacted by becoming more authoritarian.

We lost control of our rebels, they joined up with ISIS, and everything went to shit. Now we're enemies of both sides, and we don't know what the hell we're doing anymore.

Good info. Fucking Hillary Clinton.

He is certainly not a good guy but i know that Syria was a good country before the war and that the rebels would fuck the country up if they were in power. A swede who lived there called it paradise, a beautiful country were people are nice, if you wanted to party you went to Lebanon.
This war is just depressing as fuck
