The Third Reich is my favorite "country" because they kill oven dodgers/non-whites and doesn't afraid of anything.

My favorite country in history is the Third Reich because it was literally the Third Reich.

Well they had a lot of non-whites in their army who volunteered to fight for them, because they knew the true cause of National Socialism. They didn't just randomly kill every non-white.

;)

because they fixed the degenerate Weimar Republic years

They fixed everything in years.

It's neat how they killed their own supporters by flooding the subways because they felt like it. Not many governments are willing to do that.

When did they do that? Not defending, just curious.

I like the third reich because it ended with the single greatest rape of blonde women in human history and the death of white nationalism forever

well the British certainly are :)

Pic related, 3rd Reich was good, but my heritage says otherwise (Yes, I'm a filthy half-serb)

That's nothing, this one is much better.

Kalmar Län, won't go farther than that.

That being said, I've found my Serbian heritage more and more interesting as of late, I'm even trying to learn the language, hardest part so far is the cyrillic alphabet and all the "ch" sounds on letters such as ђ ж ш (sorry if I got any of them wrong, still pretty new), they are similar, yet so different.

They're not similar in pronunciation or writing.
Maybe just for you because you are new to it.

What's all this interest in Serbia the world has these recent few years?
Why's everyone obsessed with Serbia?

im studying ill watch it after. i wanna be immersed when i do ;-)

Because they were right. Hitler was always right. We just wouldn't see. Our blind arrogance. God damn it.

Cyrillic is easy. If Serbian is anything like Russian, wait till you get to the grammar.

Oh, don't worry, this one made me cry.
Also, after you watch that, here's another one that is a bit long but is incredible anyway:

Here's the awesome part.
German is hard right?
German only has 4 cases.
...
...
...
Serbian has 7.
Good luck.

It's like 60% similar to Russian, something like Portuguese - Spanish similar, but not quite.

And how do you know that Cyrillic is easy? Did you study it?

>They're not similar in pronunciation or writing.
>Maybe just for you because you are new to it.

My dad says this everytime I bring up how similar these letters sound. But as you said, they probably sound more or less the same to me since I'm new to the language.

Good question, my end is pretty obvious, I have relative who live there, thus I want to know the nation's history.

I've never been any good at memorizing letters, but I've also heard horror stories about slavic grammar.

Look up Serbian WW1 history.
That's interesting shit right there senpai.

I have taken 2 years of Russian and intend to take more, but learning the alphabet takes no longer than a week at most.

Interesting shit indeed, how such a small nation could hold up against Austro-Hungaria for so long, especially when Belgrade was located close to the Austro-Hungarian border.

Too bad Serbia usually gets the blame for starting WW1 form the actions of a freedom fighting group.

Although difficult, Russian/slavic grammar is much more fastidious and elegant. You'll learn to appreciate it while also keeping a deep resignation towards it.

It's really easy, you just gotta memorize the letters and there's only 30 of them and they're all one sound.

Sarcasm?

If a german open this thread they risk jail time.

It was mostly due to our army and generals being hardened from the 2 Balkan wars with the Turks and Bulgarians 2 years before. The Austro Hungarians overestimated themselves and underestimated us, which was a fatal mistake. They never did manage to break through at the Danube, until the Germans arrived with August von Mackensen. They bombed Belgrade day and night though. Mackensen said: ''We faced an army we only thought existed in fairy tales.''
The Serbs had to retreat from Belgrade in 1915 through Albania, leaving behind a small battalion of men to defend Belgrade to the death, the ones Sabaton made a song about. Mackensen made them a monument in Belgrade that stands to this day.

No, I'm serious. In Serbian (at least) each letter has only 1 sound. And the letters look somewhat similar to a few Latin characters so they are easily remembered.

Yeah Germany has sunken to new lows with Merkel crypto-Jew.

Ah yes... the two Balkan wars. Amazing how Bulgaria can just imagine themselves as some sort of superpower in the Balkans and declare war on their former allies because they didn't get what they wanted.

I also must say that I knew most of the things you wrote about Serbia in WWI, except that a small battalion had to defend Belgrade to the death and got a monument built for it. The Balkan nationalist spirit is pretty unrivaled to other nations I've seen.

it's almost like the fear of war everyone talked about during WWI, but the treaty of Versailles sucked and needlessly perpetuated the whole problem of sharing with everyone else in the world.

My girlfriend is Bulgarian. They're alright. They've suffered just as much as we did during the Ottoman times.

The thing is:
We wanted Northern Albania. They wanted Macedonia.

The deal was they would send auxiliary divisions to help us out in Macedonia, and that if Northern Albania is given to us, we will willingly give them Macedonia.

However, as soon as Serbs entered Albania in the 1st war, Austro-Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia to retreat from Albania under the threat of immediate war, and then pushed Albanian nationalists to proclaim independence. So we were cut off from the sea, and had to take Macedonia.

We though they would understand. They didn't.
In a fit of rage they attacked us during the night on the river Bregalnica in Macedonia without a declaration of war.

They failed to realize that by suddenly attacking their former ally, they destroyed their reputation within the eyes of the other Balkan nations, and quickly the Greeks, the Romanians, the Montenegrins, even the Turks attacked them from all sides, and most of what they had gotten in the previous war was lost.

Poor guys.
