I've never been to church in my life, I haven't ever read the bible, I don't understand the different denominations, and I don't know if I believe in god.

The first thing to understand is that True Atheism in of itself is illogical because it claims that God is not even possible.
Agnosticism is at least logical and intellectually consistent because it accepts the possibility of God while also saying "I haven't seen proof".
Once you accept the possibility of God, you can begin to search for God.
It is also written, that he who seeks for God shall find him.
You can start by reading the Bible.

Start by acknowledging the fact that no religious source has been left untainted by evil influences. You unfortunately cannot put your full trust into anything these days.
My advice to you would be to pray and of course read the New Testament, but take things with a grain of salt.
I don't think that Catholicism is real Christianity. Not to say that there aren't true Christian Catholics.
Don't just start by reading the Bible yourself. It consists of 66 books authored over hundreds of years and is thick with the most sophisticated poetry and philosophy of these times. I recommend looking up a good Bible study on YouTube and starting with Genesis. Most Bible studies I've come across on the internet, if they don't express the full meaning of each verse, will at least demonstrate to you that the teachings in the Bible mean much more and are far wiser than most churches are able to express today.
You can begin by approaching Christianity as a philosophy if you're not yet ready to stomach the realm of the spiritual. Also, I recommend seeking out knowledge of the occult and the mystery schools of ancient times. This includes Freemasonry. Do this to understand what the Bible is talking about when it references idolatry, putting strange fire upon God's altar, the Canaanites being of their father, the devil, etc.

Confession of sins is not necessary for salvation in of itself, but it is a very healthy and good thing to do.
Having others pray for you is good too, and having people who are dedicated to God and to helping people spiritually is very useful.

It fully answered your question if you have listened. The Church is the way it is because it was centralised as the place of learning in a time of illiteracy. The confession is an extension of the culture. The success of Western Europe depends on this structure and to think you can progress out of it like some spoiled prince is innovation and falling away.
The formula for absolution is just the words of a Priest which is used to confer the forgiveness of Christ once a person has confessed his sins.
The absolution is based directly on Jesus's words in John 20:19-23
"God, the Father of mercies, through the death and resurrection of his Son, has reconciled the world to himself and sent the Holy Spirit among us for the forgiveness of sin, through the ministry of the Church. May God give you pardon and peace, and I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Confession is a sacrament. We can have our sins forgiven through repentance but it is only through confession do we receive sacramental grace and better express our forgiveness. We as Catholics understand our sins to be both against God and against the community and so it is proper to express your repentance to both in forgiveness. Priests are representative of the community as a whole, being community leaders basically.
You can repent for your offense to God and be fine but you have not repented to your offense against the community so confession is necessary. To make this easier, it is set up with priests. This being important to your life and development, this is a sacrament and from doing it you receive grace.

We already decided to get married, it happened after first weeks of dating. We knew each other for a long time before. However her parents insist she and I finish the first year at uni and then can proceed. Another problem is that we live together in my flat (we use separate beds) and its quite difficult to avoid sex. We almost fucked like 40-60 times already.
