Catholic bros, what are your bought on the pope? I don't like what he says and I don't take his word as absolute authority. By the way, I have a great affinity for the Catholic Church.
Sebastian Morales
Amazing.
Josiah Collins
>By the way, I have a great affinity for the Catholic Church.
I would sure hope not in the modern sense.

I hope he dies soon and we got a red-pilled Pontiff who will call for a Crusade to take back Antioch.
Or at least get rid of the pedophiles and Modernists and allow the Extraordinary form of Mass to be celebrated again.

The pope Jorge Mario Bergoglio is not legitimate. He is a plant of George Soros and the Obama administration.
Here's an analysis, unfortunately it's in Italian. Pic related is a mail send from John Podesta before the Vatileaks scandal forced Pope Benedict XVI to resign: >“Newman: There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic church. (…) Podesta: We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up”.
I dislike him for being such a social justice cuck.
As far as absolute authority goes, that's a misrepresentation of papal "infallibility". There are a host of requirements for an ex cathedral pronouncement. Otherwise, he's just preaching on the same level of any other priest about his pet projects.
Noah Baker
Gotta need more Bible art with modern artstyles.
I don't trust this man one bit. He sounds like he's spreading (((their))) propaganda.

Thanks for the thread, OP. Saved for later studies.

You familiar with Garabandal? I think this is what Our Lady meant by "Satan's smoke is in the Vatican".

That man does not worship God behind closed doors. He worships something else. As do most of the elites of the now subverted Catholic Church.

Hi there.
I was born a Roman Catholic and all of my family members are Roman Catholic, but we haven't gone to church for sometime. I want to start going again but I'm not sure what to do there. I don't remember anything about it, so I guess I'll stay to the back. Can someone help me?
Thank you
Julian Walker
He says many valuable things but I disagree on his interpretation of a lot of situations and traditionalists and western media like to exaggerate his lines. Like with most things, my issue isn't so much with his moral teaching but his understanding of the reality of situations to which he applies his morality to.
Day advocated Distributism.

He is the best thing to happen to catholisism. He is the only hope to save the church and actually move forward and leave the dark ages that Christianity has been in since, well, the dark ages.

In my view, the Catholic religion has done its best to protect it. Encouraging of large families and to serve the community. Just my opinion however.
Levi Thompson
I have not seen it and was very iffy of it from a Catholic point of view.
Parishes run Intro-to-Catholicism classes called RCIA (Rite of Catholic Initiation for Adults). Basically it's weekly classes that run through each part of Catholicism and let you ask as much as you want. It ends in baptism but you're already baptized, likely, so you're good. Just attend class.
You must be new here. Welcome to Sup Forums.

Most conservative/traditional Catholics are suspicious of Francis, especially considering the ambiguity of the things he's written in his encyclicals. In fact, there's actually a big controversy going on in the Church at the moment between Francis and a group of cardinals who've come out with a public statement asking for clarification of his recent apostolic exhortation entitled Amoris Laetitia. Many other members bishops, priests, and religious, as well as leading theologians, have joined with the four cardinals in asking for clarification, and there's a great sense of factionalism growing inside the hierarchy. It seems that Francis' political bent and his focus on worldy issues has not gone unnoticed.

To follow up. Generally you're going to either, stand, sit in the pew, and after the homily and they start to prepare for Communion, you'll kneel. My parish also has little laminated placards with all of the responses for the prayers too, I can't say its the same in Canada but every diocese I've been to in America has them.
Tyler Peterson
I'll look into that. I'm really trying to go for Christmas Mass. Thank you.

Nice to see Christian threads revived They are /new/ and Sup Forums heritage threads.
Keep up the good work Wolf I'll bring up what my Church went over Sunday.
Talked about not being a man pleaser and to only caring about following God.
Some verses we went over
Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
John 12:43 for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.
Luke 16:15 And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.
Noah Thomas
Fuck off.
Lutheran here, with this last pope we are in the same boat ,both our european churches have been infiltrated by political assets that corrupts our faiths to make them hollow and progress the displacement of our peoples.
God bless this thread, have my bump
Brody Richardson
Apparently Hitchens' bullshit about her really caught on in Reddit. He paints her as a villain that deliberately wished to hurt people and convert, as well as a mischievous person generally. None of this stands up to examination but that doesn't stop the influence of his words.
Ian Morris
>both our european churches have been infiltrated by political assets that corrupts our faiths Why don't you organize another revolution then?
David Williams
WTF are you talking about? If you don't like the Church, just become a filthy apostate and pick a Protestant sect that caters to your fee-fees.
Anglicanism is perfect for cucks. Look how well they've exploded once they jumped on the sodomite-feminist bandwagon.
Eli Hughes
I remember asking my father (he and his family had to leave Ireland due to the troubles in Belfast) and he said he would stand in the back due to the lack of attendance. Thanks you for all this info!

There is a documentary that isgood for intro called CATHOLICISM by Robert Barron if you'd like to check that out too. And of course you can always ask questions here.
Henry Jenkins
I once looked up to Hitchens too. He's very convincing to someone who is spiritually dead.
Carson Barnes
Everyy Catholic (and non-Catholic) should read Pierced by A Sword. You can get it for $1 on the catholicity website. Great story with characters that seem very real.
Nathaniel Reyes
Nothing in that Podesta emails supports your claim that Francis is a plant of George Soros. All that email did was confirm what we already knew: that leftists are willing to create religious organisations as fronts for pushing their political agendas.
Don't be so damn dramatic. Francis is just a liberal Catholic. That's all. We've had liberal popes before. It's absolutely nothing knew in the Church. Stop attributing everything you dislike about him to some massive conspiracy.
Jose Richardson
I'll make sure to write this down. I've been thinking a lot about faith in the past months. I'm in university right now so I have a final to prepare for but I'll watch that afterwards. I've been praying to certain Saints as well and I'm not sure if I am even doing it correctly but I performed extremely well on my Geography final so I feel extremely thankful. Thank you again for all of this!

I have a great respect for the Catholic church. I grew up Lutheran until I thought I was all intelligent and went atheist at like 14. I'm 21 now, I go to an evangelical uni, and I want to rejoin the church but Protestantism is clearly showing itself these days with the gay/female pastors, and generally quite laissez faire, selective, biblical interpretation.
Tell me though, why should I subject to the authority of the Vatican? Orthodoxy is looking quite attractive the more I research.

>Don't be so damn dramatic. It's a dramatic situation. >Francis is just a liberal Catholic. That's all. He's a literal communist and utter puppet of the globalists.
He's no man of God.
>Stop attributing everything you dislike about him to some massive conspiracy.
Have you ever considered maybe it IS a "massive conspiracy"? Or are you afraid of even going there because you won't like what you find?
John Richardson
>Talked about not being a man pleaser and to only caring about following God.
Good quotations to generally hit on the topic. We should strive for what is good for what is good is synonymous with God's will and the good is more valuable to all people and all things than someone's confused will or desires. It is only right to seek and value God over all people and all things because through that, all things are given their glory and dignity.
Xavier Green
Yeah, most parishes are literally bending over backwards to accommodate people just because of the drop in attendance. So don't be upset thinking they're going to ridicule you or something, because odds are if you explain your situation they'll be ecstatic you bothered to show up.
Josiah Butler
Francis is the first Jesuit pope Also he's Argentinean The first Pope from South America too
Argentina must be weeping

How buttblasted will pagan larpers get when we pick an extremely orthodox nigga pope?

Thank you, user.
Hitchens is a fantastic orator and still has a moral sensibility to him but his oratory skills usually hide how flawed his arguments usually are.
Thank you much! Will add.
Hahaha, well great job and I hope the lord blesses you. Please, continue to ask questions or bring up criticisms whenever you wish. I'll do my bestto answer all of it, as will others likely.

I liked it though, definitely isn't Anti-Catholic in anyway.
Seems more like it was paid by Catholics to make. Portrays Catholics and the Vatican in good light.
Noah Walker
I just remembered the Church actually set up a website literally for people in your situation. They actually plug it at mass along with a prayer for people to return to church. Usually done before the mass starts, along with a prayer for more priests.
I didn't expect this level of quality response on Sup Forums, especially on Sup Forums
I don't want to keep bugging you, but what does that image represent? I know it's probably an Arabic letter/Character.
Angel Perez
Why is LOTR always brought up in christian reading lists?
Carter Miller
>and still has a moral sensibility to him
He did. But it was deeply misguided.
He also said one of his joys in life was "the misery and suffering others". Which always stood out to me.
When you put it all together, with his hatred of Christ, persuasion of anti religion, and his enjoyment of misery in people, it almost sounds like Satan himself speaking. Coupled with Hitchens' voice, his style of talking, general body language and his whole demeanor of boredom and uncaring.
Levi Cook
Oh sweet. I'm on a very slow Tablet, the looks great though. I'm really glad I clicked on this thread.
Grayson Hall
It's Arabic, the letter that starts the word "Nasrani" which means Christian in Arabic.
ISIS used it to mark the homes of Christians when they started taking over Iraq and Syria. Literally just like Jews being marked with yellow stars of David.
Brandon Morales
Idol worship.
Thomas James

It is an Arabic letter!

I really enjoy it as well. At first it was very uncomfortable, now that I understand it it feels calming.
Charles Morgan
I'm a TradCat(Traditional Catholic) and most of the Tridentine masses in my area have been taken out. I have to commute 40 mins to to go to mass now.
No one likes him, but respects his position. The Catholic Church is in bad shape. (((Vatican II))) has done a number.
Justin Rogers
Because JRR Tolkien was a devout Roman Catholic and used the books as allegory for Christian messages.
He literally converted C.S. Lewis to Christianity, although he became Anglican which kind of annoyed him.
Nolan Jackson
Because Tolkein was a Christian and LotR is a Christian world with a Christian god. If you only watched the movies, remember the themes of pitty from the first movie when Gandalf talked about sparing the Gollum and how he was the reasonring was destroyed in the end. Gandalf is basically an angel. That's what a wizard in LotR is.
Ian James
Has copypasta screenshot English cunt in this topic trying unsuccessfully again to demonstrate eating crackers leads to eternal life but accepting Christ dying for sins doesn't?
Nathaniel Young
Highly recommend reading this for everyone.
Liam Martinez
>I've been praying to certain Saints as well and I'm not sure if I am even doing it correctly but I performed extremely well on my Geography final so I feel extremely thankful Confirmation bias is not a sign from God.
Asher Wilson
Because Tolkien was a hardcore Catholic. He is largely credited with converting C.S. Lewis to Christianity, too. His writing isn't biblical or allegorical, though.
Jaxon Walker
Glad to hear you're turning to the apostolic faiths.
>why should I subject to the authority of the Vatican? Orthodoxy is looking quite attractive the more I research.
There is little to no reason to hold the primacy of St. Peter's office as one of honor rather than mechanical.
Regardless, what distinction exist between Catholicism and Orthodoxy are hard substantial and insurmountable towards leading a layperson towards salvation.
Extremely.
Please, keep bugging me. I like helping. Love is what we're made for, user. However, I must say answered it right already.
I'm surprised. I'll have to check it out. Is it a Netflix thing or what?
Because

That is extremely disgusting
Evan Thomas
>He's a literal communist and utter puppet of the globalists. Bullshit. I disagree with his economic opinions, but he hasn't written anything which would condemn him of such a claim. The most damning judgements about the things he's written/said regarding economics and politics is that they're too ambiguous and allow for multiple interpretations. But just because he's isn't unequivocally advocating for free market capitalism doesn't automatically make him a Communist. Quit your calumny.
>Have you ever considered maybe it IS a "massive conspiracy"? Sure, when I was a teenager. But the more you pay attention to the inner workings of the Church, and understand who's who and who believes what; the more you keep up with the press statements, encyclicals, and exhortations; the more you listen to and read the statements of important Church members and begin understand the sheer multitude of thought that the Church produces; the more you realise just how untenable the idea of a subverted Church is. There's is absolutely nothing about Church doctrine that has changed since Francis took office. Nothing. And of course it hasn't changed: it can't. No one has the power to change it.
This talk of conspiracy is nothing more than accusatory speculation that tries to explain too much by saying too little. It's just isn't that simple, despite how convenient it is to think so. The reality is that the Church is a massive institution, with a long and storied history, consisting of both a huge hierarchy and following, which involves itself in a wide array of activities throughout the world, and is the custodians of a very complex theology that has been refined and clarified for thousands of years. All of this results in a varied and differing modes of thought among the various Orders, comjunions, religious officials, theologians and, of course, laity. And guess what? Every now and then a member of one of the more liberal factions, like Francis, will rise to the forefront.
Jayden Jenkins
Part of me thinks the transition of Mass in V2 is the biggest source of fighting between Catholics but the more I look at it I'm tenuously thinking that the rejection of Christendom and the Christian nation is the most damaging thing of all.
Cameron Barnes
Catholicism is the absolute cuck religion. You are literally letting the clergy cuck your relationship with God. Swallow the Protestant Redpill.
Ephesians 2:8
William Roberts
We can only guess in situations like this, user. We aren't entirely aware of the situation.
No.
Yes, so Christians are beginning to use the term in solidarity with the Arabic Christians.
Carson Sanders
Yeah. The picture was to promote awareness of ISIS's genocidal actions back when they were new and normie leftist cucks were pushing the whole, "ISIS is freedom fighters. Bush's fault, Iraq should fall for being puppets."
Of course it got so bad as you know that they shut up about it. But yet all attention was given to the Yezidis, and subsequently other Muslim victims.
The plight of the Christians was ignored yet again.
Adrian Brooks
It's scary to see, I mean we have the majority of Catholics being led away from the true teachings of the Church.
I am confident, however, that a revival of traditionalism in the church will happen in our lifetime.
Owen Scott
>my feelings my world >reject hierarchy Your arguments are anarcho-feminism tier.
