Because a lot of High IQ people live in neighbourhood bubbles such as suburbs or condo complexes or gated communities, and work in institutional bubbles, like universities, or government research labs etc. Their jobs keeps them isolated from the conditions most other people actually live under.
They by and large do not understand the daily scarcity and competition most other people live under. Once everyone has enough money they start to "act white" anyway, like their affable neighbours do.
Therefore, they operating on the potential of human beings rather than the reality of what they are,or the dialectical processes that constitute what they are. They think that all people either will become like them(liberal, optimistic), or are in the process of becoming like them.
They have no concept of the mountains that some would have to climb to reach the level of success that they have - so bring em over by the boatload!
Even worse than this is the high IQ liberal who views government policies as an effective and preferable form of societal control. These people suffer from the same societal isolation, and their only interactions with the working class are with the service sector, and most of their concepts around the poor and working class are based around what they see on TV. They believe that poor people are too stupid to make decisions and should not be held responsible for them, therefore every possible safety net and reset button should be put in place to keep the poor under heel and from turning to criminality - no matter the stress it causes those less evolved people who are not as "cluttered and humanitarian" as they themselves are.
Both of these types support the fallacy that when the poor and working class vote for freedom over the government leash, they are voting against their own interests, but when they vote to keep out foreign workers and competition to actually protect their economic interest they are just being "racist".

If you're on the lower end of the IQ spectrum, you aren't as likely to read much or go to college, both of which increase the chance that you get your morals and views from fiction and theory instead of hands-on experience and natural inclination. Also, greater intelligence means greater ability to conceptualize abstract ethical systems, and it's also linked to generally higher empathy.
