Female doctors tend to be general practitioners. Specialists tend to be male doctors. The sex distribution in the various areas within the field of medicine are not even.
This is the one area where women do well in STEM. Women are best at caretaking. They stuck at medical research but are good a primary care medicine because their interactions and caring about patients.

They're right to limit the number of doctors. As it is, college and medschool are expensive as fuck, and then you don't get paid jack shit during residency. Doctors typically don't even break even until they're in their mid/late 40s, for fucks sake. And even then, a doctor's salary, while large, isn't really large enough to make it worthwhile "just for the money". There are a billion better ways for someone to make a decent penny without having to waste 12 years of your life in school/training.
However, I take issue with the fact that we employ SO MANY indian/chink doctors. We make it so hard to get into medschool that there are tons of actual americans with 4.0 GPAs and excellent credentials that aren't able to get into medschool, or new doctors who aren't able to get into the residency/fellowship programs they want, because we're giving all the slots to these foreigners who can barely even speak english.
If we're only allowing a certain number of people to become doctors each year, then we should at least give preference to AMERICANS instead of chinese/indians. But you barely even see any white doctors in most hospitals. It's disgusting.
