Did anyone see this anti-capitalist chipotle ad before seeing Rogue One?
youtube.com/watch?v=nKleQ1MXMCs

I remember that book from elementary school, at least the cover. I think the (((socialist))) agenda about demonizing nationalism and pushing the (((6 gorillion))) is even more effective. They were pushing that stuff on me and my peers at the age of 6 - 7 till graduation.

Just got done watching the video version.

Definitely some parallels.

It's funny I remember being read this as a little kid and being mad as hell at the poorfag fish and the rainbow fish for giving away its scales, just questioning why the hell it do that. I guess my hatred and disdain of leftism and socialism is something that's always been with me before I even knew what the word politics even was.

The Rainbow Fish has no political message. The story shows us the joy of sharing. We all enjoy making presents for Christmas or birthdays and we are feeling good doing so. I want to show to our children the positive aspect of sharing: To share does not only mean to give away something (which is quite hard for a child), but above all to make happy someone else - and itself

>Book teaches children not to be spoilt selfish brats
>MUH COMMUNIST SUBVERSION

I will read this book to my children, however I shall draw swastikas on all the scales the fish gives away.

>Reich fish

I felt the same way.

I got angry at the other fish for demanding all of his stuff, and I felt sorry for the rainbow fish because he was just trying to be nice and they took advantage of him.

why did my parents read this to me?
they knew what they were doing weren't they?

voluntary charity is fine, now if there was an authority fish that forced the rainbow fish to share, that would be propaganda.

That book freaked me out. I understand the virtues of sharing, but why did the rainbow fish have to rip his own skin off? Why couldn't the other fish just be content with their own scales?

fun fact:

lilo and stitch had a scene of a plane crashing into a building in NYC that had to be scrapped because of 9/11

god damn terrorists ruining our movies about shitskin orphans and illegal aliens!

Waste of trips, kys

>oi vey, give a little more! You should be grateful you are a stump i can sit upon on my old age!

Also this
Maybe its in my blood that makes me hate freeloading commie fucks
My family at an early age showed me that rewards are attained if you do something useful
Growing up I discover that family is full of anti commie people and thats because most of my family are professionals at their field who are smart enough to show socialism only benefits the high ranking and says fuck you to everyone else

Don't you talk shit about the giving tree you fuck

Never understood the lesson here.

fuckin loved that book and i have the movie on vhs

not even socialist desu

found the (silverstein)

I remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid.

>Silverstein
Not even hiding it

If you're not going to story time us we dont have a reason to care about this thread

i was actually talking about this with my girlfriend the other day when we were book shopping.

I saw it and realised what it was, I called it a "commie propaganda piece of shit, the other fish should have fucked off and stopped being so envious, go work for your scales."

Not to let everyone walk all over you.

Those who don't earn themselves will be dependant forever.

Just because someone is a victim doesnt mean they deserve sympathy, odds are they will grind you down to a stump as you help them.

Lots of things, good book from what I remember.

i remember this book, but i havent read it since i was like 6 at the latest

i just remember the pretty colours desu

tfw too stupid to remember what this show was about, I just knew I kinda liked it.

The book that really pisses me off is the Giving Tree

>spoilt selfish brats
>giving into peer pressure because everybody around you is shit.

My whole bathroom had this theme when i was little of the fish. I never read the book i just liked the fish and stuff

F L A G

Oh right, I suppose sharing anything, even a fucking pebble outside your house can be considered subversive cuckoldry.

The world isn't black or white, kid.

Yeah and it was retarded

We had it too but I an't remember a flying fuck about the book
>mfw immune to propaganda

That fish is pretty aesthetic
>mirin

Really? That's interesting. That was one of those books that I never actually bothered to read when I was young. I always just assumed from the cover picture that it was some kind of 'save the trees!' hippy-dippy environmentalist book.

...

The European foreign policy.

it was one of those "wtf is the message here?" books.

see: Cat in the Hat (aka its ok to barge into strangers homes, invite 1000 people, and act a nig as long as you clean up after)

YES YES YES YES YES YES BEST BOOK

a must-buy to redpill children.

Its open to interpretation

>be sitting indian style in class on the floor with the other kids, sad because it's my first day away from my mom
>teacher pulls out book with shiny fish on the cover
>"omg those other fishes are pretty greedy why dont they work for their own shiny scales"
>"fucking stop giving your scales away you fucking cuck, you're gonna die"
>get to the end of the story and the fish actually feels better after getting cucked
>"oh I guess letting other men fuck your wife wouldn't be so bad"
>mom comes pick me up
>"i wanna give my toys to poor kids"

there was so much anti gun and pro homosexual indoctrination in that class that I started to feel guilty about playing with my toy guns with my little brother, fearing that he might grow up to be a school shooter. I remember being 6 years old and i was already virtue signaling for gay rights.

Stitch is weirdly cute. Looks like my little brother.

my first redpill

>indian

and that's where i stopped reading.

It's one of the most profound childrens' book O know of because it's meaning isn't clear cut. There are a lot under the surface of the book.

Shel was da man.

How is it anti-capitalist?

i feel like i may have read this a long long time ago, but any socialist undertone was probably lost on me.

>he never sat indian style in school
nigger what did you do just lay on the floor?

That book gave me a fucking papercut, fucking commie fish piece of shit

portrays growth and a horrible thing. It stars raining, it's cloudy, happy music goes away, very sad feeling, meanwhile they forget that now the people are given their product at a much cheaper price and it is more accessible to everyone.

Holy shit i remember this short story. Nice artwork at least.

>silverstein

I wish I knew how to identify jewish names back then.

Kids are naturally skeptical of socialism, to quote the N-God "Tell a little boy you can make him more virtuous than his peers and you will lose his attention.Tell him you can make him stronger than his peers and he will hang on every word."

Can this be about propaganda and brainwashing in schools in general?

I got the whole 9 yards in middle school, muh evil colonialism, muh slavery, muh holocaust, etc. But there was one event in particular that always resonated in my mind: Let's call it "Nature Camp."

In 5th grade, my whole class stayed at "Nature Camp" for a week. It was your average school camping trip with some new-age "connect to nature" bullshit sprinkled in, but one night we were all blindsided by the white guilt brigade. All the kids were forced to roleplay as nigger children in Africa being taken away from their parents who were murdered by evil American slaveowners, brought to America to work in the cotton fields to eventually be freed by escaped slaves (portrayed by the two black camp counselors). It was surreal and none of my classmates knew how to react to it, we barely talked about it the next day.

Feather, not dot. Moron

what's this source? i googled both, who are you referring?

Frankfurt school brainwashing started way back.

be thankful you weren't affected by obscure shitty rolemodels

I remember being read that book all the time as a kid. All I cared about was the shiny fish, barely remember the story

It's in Will to Power, that's probably not the same as the available English translations.

Same. I have no clue what happened.

I forgot about this for at least a decade but this image made me immediately remember it holy shit I see exactly what you're talking about.

It's pretty retarded and I think you're reading way too deep into a kids' book, but I see it.

Red Scare the book,

I remember I checked out this book from my primary school library. I didn't read it, I just scraped all the glitter off the cover and returned it. Librarian didn't even notice.

I remember reading this as a youngster, but not understanding the meaning.

I read this to my daughter every night.

I even give the mouse a foreign accent. My wife thinks it's hilarious.

That was one of my favourite books as a kid.

I mostly liked it due to the way the fish looked and felt. It was neat when I was 3-4 years old.

>103945000
I was like this too. In fact, I never got along with other kids. In middle school, when our history teachers finally "educated" us on Hitler and how bad he was, I couldn't help but feel awed at what he accomplished. I could care less of he troed to extermenate the Jews. I particularly had a strong hatred for gays, but so did most people (except for the women). Hell, I think by the time I discovered Sup Forums and ED in high school, nothing on there or here shocked me one bit. I was home at last.

Fucking shit that is the last straw. I need to learn to type more accurately.

Robin Hood

If I remember correctly didn't the book have awesome glitter and foil shit all through it?

Kill arabs

I loved this story and I used to like looking at the shiny scales on the front. My life has basically been reconciling my libertarian leanings and (growing) racial awareness, so I guess this book wasn't a very good propaganda piece.

Most patrician kids book coming through. This and Mr. Fucking Putter.

is good too.

You make it sound like the indians were the first ones to cross their legs

lol wtf
i just realized i read this book as a child like over 9000 times.

got to read it again with opened eyes.

This is just what it's called man you think of Indians sitting you automatically think cross-legged on the floor. I bet y'all niggas don't even know the difference between folding your paper hotdog or hamburger style. I actually wonder if people still call it that or if it's to un-pc now.

On the fish book tho yeah I always got mad at the sparkle fish and didn't like the book to much, give a mouse a cookie on the hand was totally my jam

I saw it as showing the extent of a parent's unconditional love for their child. The tree loved the child and gave him whatever it could. The boy spent time with the tree, but grew distant, only coming around to ask for more. Ultimately, the boy, now an old man, takes the core of the tree, the trunk, and hollows it out so he can escape from his life and sail away. The tree was happy for being able to provide for the man, even through all of its sacrifice, but was now a stump. The man was now gone for good and the tree is now reduced to its roots with nothing left that it could possibly provide.

I would like to believe that the ending is positive, where the man is taking a piece of the tree along with him, but he himself is not a tree. The trunk would now only ever be a hollow boat and the man would not go on to produce anything of his own. It's really sad.

You missed the opportunity to shop a hat on the fish
