Let me preface this by saying I'm native of a Long beach.
CA is growing on TX like China is on the US, it is all relative. TX has a bigger economy than California and New York combined. It would be the 8th largest and most successful economy in the world if Texas were its own country.
California, like China, will have to radically adapt to sustain this "growth" or crash. Knowing Jerry, it will crash, and that crash will be the film and entertainment industries leaving. Already movies are being filmed more in places like Louisiana and Ohio simply because of costs. Jerry likes to drag ass on tax reductions for hollywood because he's a faggot, ironically all those jobs are union.
If trends persist, CA will become a swing state as union workers realize how against them the state is.

I was born and lived in California until I was 12 or 13 but from what I remember was my family was basically poor in that state after we moved to Oklahoma our standard of living went up significantly. California was nice but it always seemed like crap hell even my dad and mom did a complete 180 on political ideology from Democratics to Republicans.
