Multiple US sources (including the US Ambassador to Lebanon, who came out in 1991) knew of intel where Israeli pilots radioed confirmation that it was an American ship. They were told to fire anyway. A former Israeli pilot later confirmed this.
IDF fighters strafed and bombed the ship for hours.
The Israeli fighters jammed radio frequencies to prevent USS Liberty from calling for help.
Then IDF torpedo boats torpedoed the ship and machine gunned life rafts (a war crime).
Fuck Israel and fuck any American who thinks it's our "greatest ally".
