Being inside a Costco on a busy Saturday afternoon is one of the most hellish things I have experienced. The fact that you have to pay a membership for this ghastly experience is beyond me. Costco is ludacriously busy at all hours, and the parking lot is always a shit-show, and I don't like it.

i loved working at costco when i did. Payed $11/hr when min wage was $7.25. the time and a half on sundays was amazing.
I worked in the p[izza kitchen when i was there for a summer. Occasionally got farmed out to grab carts from the parking lots and help people with there loading of large items. If only they didnt have the rule of not taking 'tips' from helping cutsomers.. i could have made huga bank that summer

I switched to Sam's recently for this very reason.
Every warehouse has a marketing team of mostly local hires that go out months ahead of a new warehouse opening to meet with the community, local businesses, the fire department, police, schools, we make sure to establish a mutually positive relationships with the mayor and anyone we can. All the marketing budget goes towards grassroots, local relationship building. This is also the best way h get discounts on a membership.

why, brah? i worked at a grocery store making those kind of chickens for a while and they are perfectly fine.
I go at 8:00AM usually. If you go around 10AM, the place starts getting busy as fuck and there's already lines and shit even when I go. I use it for a lot of cheap gas, which you know, if I pumped outside, it'd be the difference between the membership over a year, so I might as well have access to their goods as well.

The place that I worked at was pretty disgusting with how they kept the kitchen, I was the only one who seemed to give a fuck about keeping everything sanitary. It made me loose faith in others, so yeah if the people working keep it clean then it's all good. But I don't have that much faith in people any more

I was getting $4 ($11) above minimum wage when i worked there. As just starting pay. You also got time and a half on sundays, no matter how little hours you worked. This was back in 2007 though.
