This show is based as fuck > young cardinal made pope, intended to be a bridge between progressive and conservative wings of Church > turns out to be ultra conservative, further restriction on abortion, purge gay/pedophlie clergy, BTFO corrupt cardinals > "I want a church of fanatics"
This is obviously meant to be a hit piece on how "Catholics can be extreme too goy, just like them muslims" but its based as fuck, I wish we had a pope like this, is there anyway of this actually happening? (Just a based pope, doesn't have to be young)
Leftoids are so out of touch their villains are good guys.
Benjamin Green
No because the great whore mentioned in bible is the catholic church, there will never exist a pope that doesn't serve the interest of globalism elite
Anthony Wood
this
Cameron Ward
Leftists tried to make that speech look ebul but it actually sounded really great
Carter Rodriguez
The trailer looked dope
Nathaniel Russell
only if there is an SSPX mini pope of some sort in the future or the cardinals elect a non cuck
Justin Russell
Listen you Brazillian monkey, your opinion doesn't even matter crawl back into your jungle where yiu belong.
Also
> the church only serving the interest of globalists
Who was Pope Leo XIII?
Aiden Davis
Watch Man in High Castle John Smith is the best character with inspector Kido a close second The resistance are such cunts that even Juliana killed them all in second season
Zachary Bennett
Is jude law /our/guy?
Hudson Perez
It's not a hit piece it's a work of art.
It's about targeting hypocrisy within religious institutions where they hold everyone to specific standards but then act above them in secret, or changing views to suit the times, and moral signaling for personal fame and adventure.
The young pope is portrayed as very conservative and fiery but also very soft and warm. They also seem to give him divine power which destroys any criticism of him being a hack.
His counselors also bring up that they should be "tough in principle and soft in practice"
The show is basically saying that the problem with the church isn't that they are so backwards. They should be able to hold views and that changing them to seem more popular isn't helping.
The real problem is that they cover up sexual offenses and let people off the hook, they persecute gays even though members of the clergy are known to be homosexual, and they do charity to virtue signal.
Basically, the church should look inward to become stronger outward rather than destroying and reshaping what it is.
Thank you for your time.
Caleb Mitchell
Is that show getting a third season?
Also the fact in an alternate timeline where the japs win they STILL get nuked is top Kek
Julian Cruz
This is actually very common.
This is the most rational comicbook character currently, and he's the bad guy
Hudson Watson
This
Camden Rodriguez
Is pedophilia in the catholic church really so widespread? Don't public institutions, like schools, have a higher number of sexual assaults than the Church?
Landon Robinson
Catholics arent Christian, and they burn in hell for eternity.
Thomas Butler
Haven't watched it as a traditionalist. Haven't heard much about it, either, but I'm usually wary about pretty much any media produced by secular society.
Isaac Taylor
Thanks for the comment user, great insight, do you know who made this show? Was it one of (((them)))
Jose Reyes
Yes
Catholics are the only Christians, and you will burn in life on the Pyre
That's actually a strategy for leftist film strategy. They make all the good ideas come from "bad guys" to gaslight the viewer. That's how they pathologize healthy values.
Carson Brooks
>a bunch of people start wanting a crusade because of how cool the pope was portrayed
its like pottery
Austin Harris
I don't know statistics and I would probably agree with you that they are more widespread in schools. But, the Catholic Church insulated itself, covers up, and protects the offenders
Jackson Campbell
I thiught so too but its actually pretty good
Ethan Green
5% are estimated to be molesters. >50% gay.
Tyler Wood
First episodes were top notch.
Lucas Sanchez
>is there anyway of this actually happening?
Maybe. The pope does not have absolute control as there are various monetary interests at play. If he was willing to cause a huge scandal and lose lots of money and property, though, I suppose it could happen.
Nathan Bell
Also, despite its political themes, I think the show is supposed to be inherently character driven, rather than convey any form of political meaning.
Wyatt Russell
Also he would have to avoid his food being poisoned, etc.
Luke Carter
Uea i would agree with that great show
Hudson Miller
>Church
Owen Hall
I was molested as a kid by someone trying to enter the seminary, I'm also a Catholic.
When you go to confession, where you sins are forgiven by God because you are sorry enough that you are willing to admit it to a conduit, you are given a penance.
The guy admitted to my family what he had done because he had a guilty conscience, but the priest probably have him like 5 hail Mary's and 6 our fathers as penance.
The problem that show is showing as that the Vatican operates in a shady territory where it is not about faith, but politics. Where these guys are willing to bend rules and logic for success of the entity to the point where you don't even know what you are a part of.
Julian Walker
I actually like it.
Bentley Brown
>my jewish religion is the true jewush religion!
Jackson Lee
It turns out by the end that he is a Saint and a divine messenger from God. Absolutely not a leftist movie as he is a hero not a villain.
Evan Bell
>post murderer >wew
That's a damn shame.
Jace Hill
Sorry to hear that, I was taught in sunday school that those preists would burn twice as much in hell for their crimes, not only for defiling a child, but for doing so under the guise of the Church
Michael Reed
The issue with Christianity today is that it is returning to what it originally was. When Christianity was brought to Europe, it was heavily influenced by the European warrior culture and became fused with it. In the modern period, Christians have worked hard to disengage Christianity from these foreign elements and return it to its biblical state. You can see this process clearly in the Reformation and more recently in Vatican II. This is why the Christianity of the past was masculine and Christians were willing to fight and defend their nations and their tribe, but Christians today just want to lie down and let their countries be destroyed. Pic related is a book on this subject.
Jonathan Brown
I liked the show, it has some great potential.
Also I kinda get the feeling it is largely funded by conservative Catholics. Why else would they show Catholicism and even Conservative Catholicism is such good light? Although some gay guy did commit suicide because of him in the later episodes and that might be one of the things that turns him around to see the "error" of his ways.
Henry Price
seeing as how there hasn't been a pope in 58 years that would be unlikely.
Easton Gray
Combining what that Soviet Subversion Guy said:
>"You can't get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You cannot change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. "
With this:
>They make all the good ideas come from "bad guys" to gaslight the viewer.
Lucas Morris
Catholics believe that the premonition to sin is internalized and part of human nature and that through god you can have salvation.
Dude was probably sick as fuck and while I can hate his guts I can also grow to accept that he is probably sorry for what he did and the orientation he has
He can burn in hell or he can go to heaven it's not up for me to decide. I can spend my life hating him or I can move past it.
Kayden Powell
In other words, it works on already redpilled people not so much on normies.
Jaxon Perry
The Church has definetly been subverted, just look at that crucifix with the hammer and sickle out if bolivia
Leo Ross
Are you literally retarded? When did I said old popes were all globalists? "There will never be" implies from here to the end of the times not the old ones, you're worse in your own native language than a brazillian? Fucking fat cunt get your ass raped by muslims
Austin Price
You again? Listen ape, when you say "never" it also implies that there wasn't a pope who opposed globalists in the first place. Don't you have some tourists to rob?
Cameron Foster
the average IQ of your country is literally 87. you simply aren't able to communicate with Americans because our IQs are so many standard deviations higher. stop posting before you embarrass yourself further
Levi Robinson
>just look at that crucifix with the hammer and sickle out if bolivia That's baby stuff. Look into the Jesuits and how they influenced millions of catholics and others around the world with their globalist, ultrahumanist values and how that influenced people to turn the other cheek even to those who want to kill them.
Luis Phillips
Vatican 2 was a pure giveaway to the Jews. That's why Maronites hated it.
John Green
No i agree fully, didn't portugal expel the jesuits for being to internationalist? (different meaning then, same principle)
But they came back a bit later and they managed to brainwash a lot of people into being good goys that should help everyone from around the world no matter their intentions towards you because the good jesuit priest says so and he's the figure with most authority over the common man's mind.
This is why every socialist/commie likes the current pope (he's a jesuit). He's practically doing their job for them.
Colton Adams
> HAIL HYDRA!
Adam Ross
Heres a spooky pic for you friend. What do make of it?
Aiden Myers
People knew that Bergoglio had socialist/social justice values based on peronism from day one so no surprises there.
Michael Robinson
All those men were/are great.
Charles Wright
It was a little boring though. Just like the real pope i guess.
Isaac Moore
It happened with Archie Bunker which was intended to operate as a massive parody of the right created solely to mock them, but ended up America's sweetheart.
John Hall
and peronists are basically edgier than usual conservatives just with sjw tier social policies and jew lovers
Nicholas Sanchez
>peronism
Shit! I thought he liked *perogies*! Is there any way I can take my vote back? I made a terrible mistake.
Blake Cook
Just because they don't support godless materialist bullshit like capitalism does not mean that they have been "subverted."
Aaron Stewart
Yes the show is getting a third season The Japs didn't get nuked in the second season though
Oliver Parker
>To what it originally was
I don't know about that.
I think people cherrypick a lot of what Jesus said out of context.
>muh context
I know, I know.
But if you read what Jesus really said, like in Matthew, I never get the idea that some gentle hippy is talking. The amount of authority and firmness, and scariness in a lot of what Jesus says is incredible.
Mason Watson
The "Great Whore" isn't any one institution, it's our whole decadent modern global civilization, which can't last forever, no matter who's in charge.
Robert King
That's a bit of a loose interpretation.
This manner of prophecy has always been fairly specific.
Eli Lopez
You can see that in Game of Thrones too. All the real men either fuck up or do something evil eventually, while Daenerys, who is really a totalitarian personality-cult dictator, is depicted as the savior.
Aiden Jackson
DESU this dude sounds like space marine chaplain talking about loyalty to the emperor
I love it.
Jacob Wood
>Catholics are the only Christians
Not even catholics believe this.
Grayson Martinez
>godless materialist bullshit Like communism, which is typically symbolized by a hammer and sickle.
Hunter Allen
This user is right I keep up with a lot of the christian religious leaders do and even evangelical leaders want to recreate a christianity which is anti-patriotic, anti-military and subversive christanity is still gay also stop using reddit spacing
Noah Lewis
Sedevacantists do, and they're the real Catholics
Connor Lee
I am Catholic and never heard anything about pedophilia running rampant other than the recent scandal. I know its a recurring joke, but in all seriousness if members of the church are ousted as pedophiles they need to be made an example of.
This is sin were talking about
Julian Cook
>commands deus vult
Michael Murphy
This is not a "recent" scandal. The Catholic Church has a problem with shielding homosexual child molesters from the consequences of their actions. IMO, it has a problem with homosexuality in general.
Juan Baker
>return it to its biblical state Unfortunately they're not returning it to its Biblical state, they're just cucking it to fit liberal modernity.
Jayden Anderson
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Jose Morgan
>lose lots of money The Catholic Church is literally richer than god
Ryder Ward
I never got the impression that it is, is supposed to be, anti-catholic. At least not in trying to compare them to Muslims. In fact, Islam is mentioned once in passing in the entire show. If anything, the show is pro-God, which can be seen as putting it at odds with Catholicism but, if it was anti-anything, it would be anti-religion.
I thought it was a modern interpretation of the story of Jesus. Everyone hated him because he spoke the truth
Brayden Cook
Every profession that involves being around kids is going to have pedophiles. For instance, Martial arts instructors are notorious for being pedophiles
Benjamin Diaz
yes we do, we are the only christianity, you are same as pagans to us.
Daniel Gomez
The scandal is not in the frequency, but in the failure of the Church to root them out and alert the proper authorities.
Kayden Roberts
>brazil >70% white, 100% catholic >usa >36% white, 30% muslim Nigger, you are irrelevant. Go fuck some dunkey.
Camden King
>furry
Adrian Miller
That's not the official church position.
Are you disagreeing with the Church user?
In fact, official Church doctrine asserts that even protestanats can be saved provided that they have perfect contrition for their sins at death. The only reeason this could be true is that they are regarded as 'within the Church', even as they are in rebellion against it.
So obviously you're just some faggot who decided to become "catholic" because memes. I bet you don't even RCIA, pleb.
Jeremiah Bailey
I also am richer than god. My fedora alone makes this so!
Nathan Baker
They do, but it's the church and the number should be zero.
Jace Phillips
>usa >1/3 Muslim Kek Ivan, not even close, unless we're talking about your country, in which case you're still overstating it
Nolan Gutierrez
No....
Now stop being a stupid heretic.
Juan Richardson
>russia >no balls, no brains Nigger, you are irrelevant. Go drink your braincells away.
Gavin Moore
34 let me run the Vatican. Parents are William and Maria. I can fix the World.
Camden Thompson
>official Church doctrine asserts that even protestanats can be saved provided that they have perfect contrition for their sins at death. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus, dude.
