While there are obvious reasons why culture is important, many behavioral traits like aggressiveness, sensitivity or emotional stability have genetic markers. Any "liberal" who thinks all ethnic groups are perfectly identical except for skin color is lying to themselves. Depending on the populations you are comparing we can be over 300,000 years apart in evolutionary separation. The differences are dramatic on a genetic level.
Now for the SJW meme. They say there is no such thing as race. Race is a social construct, not based in biology. The fact is that there are over 100 distinct ethic groups in Africa alone, many of them as distinct from each other genetically as they are from all ethnic groups outside Africa combined. There are so many ethnic groups in Africa because they are OLD populations groups, their evolutionary pressure until a few hundred years ago was entirely environmental based on a hunter gatherer lifestyle, not pressured by a agricultural model with actual culture and social pressures. Of course there is a scientific basis for race. Evolution exists and the races evolved separately from each other, developing their own mutations over millenia. But SJWs don't like biology or anthropology; THEIR science is sociology. They are adamant that evolution does not apply to humans in regards to race, but then acknowledge genetic manipulation when they want everyone to interbreed to become a single homogenous, mixed race of brown. Whites aren't an ethnicity, more is East Asian or natives. You obviously have differences between the Sioux and the Aztecs. Both are in the native category, yet one built a floating city the other were nomadic. Same with the Europeans, ancient Mesopotamians and Nordics.
