Hitler didn't hate the Slavs. The Slavs most certainly did not hate Hitler. You can see by the SS Divisions that were formed. The fact that many men who served under the SS still wear their uniforms proudly and remember fondly their struggle to cease Communism and fight for their National Identity.
I have to say, this is getting very old. It isn't a prevalent problem on this forum but there are some who honestly believe Hitler hated the Slavs. They reference Liebensraum and seem that it justifies their reason behind Hitler's supposed hate for the Slavs. I don't know much about Hitler and his relation to Slavs... but I think those who continue to spout this foolishness know less about Hitler overall.
If indeed Hitler didn't like Slavs... giving them training and equipment to fight the Communists wasn't the smartest thing to do. Also I hear next to nothing about any atrocities committed against them. The same cannot be said for Stalin.
Which brings me to my last qualm with this sillyness. Why aren't more people who fall in to this category more upset with Stalin and his treatment of the Slavs? Why is Hitler more pressing then Stalin? One man... openly and shamelessly kills millions. The other, does more for the Slavs than the former
