Should the Bible be taught in public schools?

Should the Bible be taught in public schools?
I think yes

is she capable of haaving children?

Yes, children must be educated about their heritage and submit to the will of God. Deus Vult.

Yes.
Even if someone is not Christian (hurr durr I'm triggered by reading a book), they can find good values in it.

If the Bible's taught we should teach esoteric talmund knowledge too

No, religion is nothing more than faith based organizations hoping that the stories of 2000 year old desert goat herders are right. Faggots like you OP are why we haven't and will never become an interstellar species.

No. We should teach European mythology instead.

No. Teach your children the bible at home or in church if you choose. Separation of church and state. Liberty, motherfucker.

If so, but why not learn from Quran and other great religious books too? Surely there's more wisdom in them combined

No

No.

I went to a catholic high school and religion classes just boiled down to ethics for the most part. I think teaching the Bible in school is unnecessairy because that's the point of church and it'd be redundant.

Why is this coalburning porn star being pushed here so much?

>he isn't a secularist

Look, if you feel the need to force your beliefs on other people, then you should never say the word "religious freedom" when an atheist makes an anti religion protest infront of your school, you filthy LARPer

Yes, along with every other religion.
Without religion you can't understand human history

You can teach good values by not being a worthless husk of a fucking parent too

>I NEED THE STATE AND A KIKE BOOK TO CONTROL ME AND MY CHILDREN

Cuckoldry

Yes, secularism is meme.

Look at France. They have the most active form of secularism, laicism and still have Alahu Ackbar.

Meanwhile never heard of kebab attacks here or in Poland.

Because the Quran directly contradicts the Christian values by which we built our society upon. Fuck Muslims. You don't necessarily have to have absolute faith in the Bible (I don't) to uphold our cultural customs and protect the future of our civilization.

>Cornerstone of Western thought, philosophy, literature, and art
>Shouldn't be taught in schools

Even if you're not religious it's legitimately one of the most important pieces of written work ever

You are not educated or literate unless you have read the bible, so of course it should be taught in all schools.

You can always choose to not go to Public School.

FUCK NO
Philopshy and psychology yes, and in them you can talk about all the religions there are, but with a scientific approach.

Outside of classes which biblical literature is a subject of academic inquiry or analysis?

No.

The establishment clause prevents public funds from being utilized from being used for religious purposes. I believe this was the subject of a couple of supreme court cases.

>>Cornerstone of Western thought, philosophy, literature, and art
you mean the same book that says the earth is a flat board that it's corners are guarded by 4 angels?
the same book that says the earth is 6000 years?

lel

>classes just boiled down to ethics for the most part

>implying that ethics get taught in public schools and public school kids are not degenerate sacks of drugs semen and shit.

I went to a Christian School. Even there, bible class was a waste of time. I got better religious discussion from my math teacher.

>Not literate unless you've read bible
U retarded or something?

in what context?

you want to teach a class on comparative religion or christian mythology sure, they can read it along with the koran and the myths of the greeks. You may have 1 in 500 students who would be interested in such a class but it would be fun

>flat feet

No thanks.

What are those christian values contradidced by Quran?

What sort of Godless nation doesn't already teach their children about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?

educated fellow. we need to change this in Italy as well

>Implying it doesn't refer to the earth as a circle or sphere.
Fucking witch doctors thinking they know shit about the west.

If you teach the Bible in public schools it needs to be done correctly and with the proper context.

No teaching kindergartners that Noah's Ark was just a fun floating zoo and glossing over the part where God murders 99% of life on the planet.

no we should be teaching science
school i meant for education not teaching bullshit fairy stories

isnt this chick supposed to be going to Japan to get RICED?

of course deus vult

let me guess, his next saying will be "muh pork and muh beer" (which the bible also bans them)

goddamn you don't even read your own bible

There is no connection between religion and the dark age gap faggot. Is the land in Europe to blame for every war fought there?

She would look great with some black cock inside of her

90% of the crap taught is schools now is not science

No we have a separation of church and state.

>the Bible says the earth is flat
You're an retard the Bible states the earth is a ball spinning on its tips

>Should the Bible be taught in public schools?
Yes, assuming the Koran and Torah are taught as well.

only if you read the Qu'ran and the Mahabharata too

while it's true that everybody should learn the ways of the jew before being called literate, this does not mean that it should taught in schools.
Literacy is a life's work that includes at the very least your nation's canon. No school can teach you that.

>No we have a separation of church and state.
citation needed

No. If parents want their kids to learn about God and Christianity, why don't they take them to Church?

Not beheading non converts is a staple of Christianity.

Meme atheists and closet Muslim pedos will never win this war because atheism is turbo cringe edge and muslims are legitimately pedophiles.

If my taxes are paying for it I want to use it

>There is no connection between religion and the dark age gap faggot.
maybe
but you can't deny that the church burned the shit out of many books and hindered many researches.

>Koran and Torah
>kikes and muslims have built lasting civilizations

ishydtt

I'll teach her the bible in my bedroom, if you know what I mean

Should be taught in history class during the chapter/section on ancient religions, along side the Torah and Quran. It should also have a brief history of the origin of the text and derivatives (Catholic Bible, KJV, Book of Mormon).

As far as learning from the bible, No. The school system is not equipped to have clergy teach from the bible. You get enough interference with laymen trying to teach Sunday school and bible studies. Society would not benefit from teachers opining on the holy texts.

Don't mistake me for your ally though, middle east should still be glassed, hopefully Tunisia would get caught in the blast

t. libcuck retarded atheists

Not as a mandatory course

>christians burned books and not the Vikings and pagans that raised cities
Yep okay good talk.

why not have both? facts and history help round out mythology. you wouldn't want everyone in europe practicing the old religion, would you? the romans utterly destroyed the celts in very short order after adopting christianity and spreading it. it's one thing to "never forget" and another thing entirely to repeat the selected-against failure.

I have to disagree. It should be left out of education

Yes, and there should be an official religion

>Isaiah 11:12
>12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH. (KJV)

>"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 40:22)"

The bible practically says that the earth is a 6000 year old flat disc
kek

Is that really the only thing you can come up with?

why not send your kids to Christian school

in public school, even in a Christian country, the four faiths (Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism) should be taught

circle != disc

>flat disc
>FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH

so edgy even your circles have corners

both did.

Nah, the only remotely legitimate reason to do so is due to its objective position as an influential work.
But that would open up the way for books like Das Kapital and the communist manifesto to be mandatory too for the exact same reasons, and somehow that doesn't seem a very desirable situation.

So just use the rule of thumb: If it's religious or ideological keep it out of sight of kids. If they find your views agreeable and your views turn out to hold any real merit then the kids will find their way to them on their own.

why should I have to pay for public school then?

It should be taught alongside other religious scriptures coupled with as their historical significance and context.

It most certainly shouldn't be taught as gospel truth.

Theyre pretty similar honestly.

Not fooling anyone, Pajeet

I think religious studies should be an elective once kids reach middle and high school, same with evolution.

The majority of the books burned were copies, not the originals

I believe that only when we die will we know for sure. Teach children all things. Let them be well educated, and decide for themselves. Include all religious texts. There is a grain of truth in all things. Don't force them into it. Show them what it is to be human and to learn. Peace to you all

People had already pretty accurately measured the circumference of the earth before the bible was written.

because those faiths encompass a good 7/10~ of the world population and you'd want your kids to be well educated in world history, current affairs, and meta political substance?

yeah seems like it

where have I seen her before?

>a good 7/10~ of the world population and you'd want your kids to be well educated in world history,
70% of the world was and always will be irrelevant

KEK

sometimes I forget there's legitimate idiots here, not even trolls

shes a pornstar

It burned books that threatened to mislead people who did not have the proper education. The Index never forbade books completely, it just made it so your bishop had to be certain that you were properly educated in order to read the book

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>I think religious studies should be an elective once kids reach middle and high school, same with evolution.

Do you mean biology should be elective? Or just evolution specifically?

Shouldn't STEM be core at least until high school?

cuck detected

I think pretty much everything should be an elective, other than basic math, history, and civics.

still bad.

that's not the point

my point is that the bible is so inconsistent, it says disc here, and then says board with 4 corners here

sounds like bullshit
give sources

>four corners of the world
>earthly circle = flat disc
Choose which one of the quotes you're going to misinterpret, faggot. You can't have corners on a disc.

Holy scriptures need to be taught by those in authority by whomever is properly appointmented by a religion's God(s).

The Church and by extension the family unit is responsible for religious education.

The K-12 school's, however, should drop theoretical science and the state religion of Marxist Evolution and socialism. School's job is to train children to proficiently perform basic tasks and sciences with a foundation in civics, history, and some philosophy. Majority of children at this time can barely read or perform basic mathematics.

My view is children should have all the basics down before high school and be capable of passing written, oral, and practical exams before advancement. High school reconditioned into what a community college is today. University becomes optional.

One more thing I'd add is practical courses. For example, middle school kids should have at least some EMT training, programming, electronics, a course on chemical production (making household soaps, bleach, etc.), and restore Home Economics as a core class.

Best way to do this is drop Common Core and teach children practicality rather than treat them like daycare rejects. Teachers and administrators would hate it; makes them work for a change. Yet, a can thrive again.

don't try to reason with creationists

Yes but only turbo autist scholars hanging out in the libraries who knew how to read know about it. The average person looked outside and said, "Flat." and had no way to be corrected until the turbo autist could come and lecture them on it, causing visible confusion towards the retarded masses

what do you mean?

It should be the opposite actually. Teach basic mathematics, religion and national history in primary school, and then make secondary school more specific to a particular field, and increase the specialisation as the education level goes up.

Yes.

Christianity is much better than the subhuman edgelords that atheism breeds.

>Star
That's a bit of an overstatement if people can't figure out where they know her from.

just math, computer science, engineering, the bible, and western history should be mandatory

Well then you're lucky I already hate islam cos no smart person would be convinced by you repeating bullshit you've read somewhere on the internet without ever checking whether wit's true

Do you genuinely believe that at middle school level history is more valuable than basic biology, chemistry ans physics?
