I believe that it takes a lot of intelligence and creativity to branch out into a new way of thinking. This is perfectly fine because the ideas are intellectual and are accepted by the fact that they are natural because they exist and further debate on other topics. Now, many left and right leaning individuals take to these ways of thinking and brand them as moral imperatives or moral desirabilities which typically cuts off most debate and supports exclusion rather than inclusion. Both groups would rather sit in their echo chambers than find a compromise or work toward a new way of thinking that could bridge those gaps.

I mean, it really doesn't. It also doesn't support the case when the prototypical thinkers of what became the Modern Left, Marx, Proudhon, and Bakunin, would actually be considered pretty much Nazis/Far Right in many aspects by Leftists today for their views on Jews, Gender Roles, guns, and traditionalist conservative morality. Compared to that the Old/Traditional Right has remained relatively the same, and the only reason the Left is really considered the 'intellectual' ideological position is because it's the culturally dominant and more common one at the moment.
