Speaking as a native Englander who lives in the Midlands, but commutes to Warwickshire, most white people around here are quite right wing. The elderly are quite open about their views on immigration, gays etc. Middle-aged people are less vocal, but will actively avoid places where there are high concentration of immigrants, and will often sneer or talk in a child-like manner if they converse with them. People my age, mid 20s or younger, are very accepting, generally, of non heteros, but quite often hate Muslims, and can be very vocal. Hidus, sikhs etc can be top lads, and Hindu girls can be fit as fuck.
Just my experience from living and working around working and middle class English people all my life.
