From personal expirience and friends expirience it seems like an excuse to mess around with everyone, and every mono relationship ive seen with a poly person the poly person actively tries to mess around with other people they find attractive, until the one who is mono breaks up due to suspicion or gets cheated on.
Thats my thoughts on this, but im curious of what others think.
