Imagine having all of your limbs chopped off and soldered shut to prevent you from dying. Now imagine having a tube stuck up your ass to take your poop away. Imagine having your tongue cut out, all your teeth pulled, and a giant feeding tube stuffed down your throat.
Now imagined having your eyes cut out and then having the wounds soldered shut, with everything else having happened to you. Then they cut your dick and balls off and put a piss tube up your uretha that connects into the shit tube.
Now they bury you 8 feet under with all tubes attached. They fill it with concrete, and you are utterly cemented 8 feet below. Yet, all your piss/shit/feeding tubes are above ground.
Now now have a sadistic caretaker who feeds you the worst gruel you can imagine each day. Just enough to keep you alive. You may puke it back up, but it goes back into the tube that goes into your stomach, so it all goes back down at some point. When you shit or piss, it goes up the tubes into a bucket up top. Maybe your master up there gets a kick out of forcing you to eat and drink your own shit and piss once in a while, or every time.
You are kept alive in this manner for the next 10 years. Forced to stay alive, forced to expel your bowels. Effectively forced to continue the conditions required to stay alive. Why not just 10? Maybe your entire life span. Maybe 50+ years in total darkness, with no limbs, no genitalia, no sight, and certainly no escape.
Would you try to "take a car into your own hands" when such a punishment were possible? Doubt it.
I've read stories from people about having to care for an incapacitated person.
When tubes go into a person's body like that they have to be kept clean and changed or the person will get sick and die.
It's a lot of effort to care for an incapacitated person. I would never want to be a caretaker as a job.
