CAN'T WE LEAVE THE VHF BAND ANALOG, AND THE UHF BAND DIGITAL?
VHF channels 2-13 CAN REMAIN ANALOG, while channels 14 and beyond can BECOME DIGITAL
same with "digital radio", instead of cucking the 87.5 Mhz to 108.0 Mhz band, can't we just use the frequencys of UHF TV channels 79-83 (860 Mhz to 890 Mhz)

You could easily remove 4 UHF TV channels from there, and still have 65 analog UHF channels - 390 digital UHF channels, and have a 30 Mhz bandgap for digital radio.
thats 9.5 Mhz more bandgap for digital radio, than the current one there is on FM radio

Don't get me wrong, DIGITAL is great, it needs less power, and can bring a sharper image, high resolution and uses less bandwidth
But there is no need to go full digital, analog still has its uses, specially on emergency broadcasts, where information can save lives!
I have over 40 tv stations over the air thanks to digital. A shitload of providers popped up to provide digital channels and I have free old scifi and comedy shows without paying $50 to a subscription company.
