>25 years old
>only make $18/h CAD($13.50 USD)

Who /total failure/ here? Is suicide the only option?

what did you expect, you're 25 years old and its 2017, its practically a miracle that you even have a job. Most of us will be permanently unemployed and never own a home or even rent in our lifetimes

>25 years old
>$0 income since april

Depends on the cost of living where you are.

I made $12.00/hr in my last full time job but in a place where the cost of living is rock bottom and I had no debts or car payments or shit like that.

I always had the cash to buy anything I wanted and take care of my bills and pigeon hole more than 50% every month.

Isn't that like fucking minimum wage?

naw, 25 isn't that old. Do you have a waifu/gf?

I am about to move across the country to take a 13 dollar/hour part-time job (thanks obama) and I have a graduate degree.

Going to have to find a second job to be able to support myself. 26 years old.

Lol no

Where live?

I have rented, but my job fell apart and I lost my apartment.

>complete failure.

I amaze everyone who knows me that I haven't an hero.

29, $9.10/hr.
hours cut to 15 a week
Living the dream.

>[REDACTED]
>just got a raise t-

Wait a minute, this is a fucking survey thread in disguise, isn't it.

Fuck off marketers.

You've failed, kys.

Don't feel bad user, I'm at 12.25/h and I spent the last 10 months unemployed.

>Time goes on
>Everything gets more expensive
>Wages go down

Ya, that's normal

if you're going to kill yourself over this anyway, why not scrap together everything you possibly can and start your own business? it might succeed wildly. and if it doesn't, hey, you can just kill yourself. but at least you will have tried.

I recommend Clorox.

close enough

Where do you live and what do you do?

I'm not a /total failure/. I'm a physician in my first year of residency and my annual income is $50000 CAD, but because of the obscene hours I'm expected to work, I get paid about $15/hour. Obviously, I can expect this to rise greatly as my career progresses, but if it helps your perspective to think you're making more than a doctor...

What's with all the suicides threads lately? But anyway, I think that suicide is an honourable way out, that was made taboo due to a shitty Abrahamic morals. If you know that there is only suffering and misery left in your life - while cling to it?

I'd do it myself if, say, I catch some nasty disease or lose everything.

Dont be a fag I'm a minumim wagecuck and I still drag my ass out of bed everyday. Look at it this way compared to me you are a huge success leaf bro.

Why does Nunavut pay so well? The only people that live there are Eskimos.

Alberta, drive pic related but have an engineering degree kek

yes

for me it is a disease. i could deal with anything else. but i've always known that if i can get some real shit, instead of suffer with it, i will kill myself right away

>be me
>do nothing but draw until 28
>land a tattoo apprenticeship with my 700+ hours in MSPaint
>be tattooing now 6 years putting hands on sluts and some dirty guys

theres still time

Kinda sucks but youth unemployment is pretty high everywhere, wages aren't any good either for most.

Pee more

Ditch your student loans and move overseas.

Just saying!

They need to pay people to live there to maintain our sovereignty + food is like 500% more expensive.

You only get $18/hour to operate heavy machinery in Alberta?

>19
>$22/h
>work 45 hours a week, sometimes weekends bumping up over 50

I basically drive a truck around all day and make ez money. It's boring but at least im not flipping burgers

>I'm takin what they're givin cause I'm workin for a livin

>$13.50/h
>"""""only"""""
you ain't even trying, bitch.

>22
>$0/hr

free time is priceless sometimes
I'm making over 99 dollars an hour reading books in the long turn

Yes, this job got hundreds of resumes too

What kind of engineering degree do you have? I don't really know much about career paths for engineers besides the meme answer that STEM is supposed to be good for jobs. If you care more about money than lifestyle, have you considered working in the oil industry in the States?

A few years ago, I'd have said work in the oil industry in Alberta, but we've been fucked by the shale boom in America. They don't need us any more and the price of oil has tanked.

>still a child
>making decent money
I don't see an issue here. Unless you're retarded and living in a needlessly expensive city/state, in which case you're retarded and need to move.

At very least sounds interesting.

>23 years old
>was making $21/hour in SK as a machinist
>let go after 4 years with the company, trying to build up to a living wage of $25/hour
>economy is rough right now but we were still getting lots of work so I figured I'm safe
>all of the hires from the past 5 or so years are let go including me
>SK had a net loss of over 10k full time jobs this year and Canada is taking in 200k+ immigrants each year
>have been unemployed for 6 months now
>a couple days ago hear my mom crying and talking to my father about me
>had to sell truck I was restoring for the past year and my gold/silver coin collection to help out with the bills
>now working at Starbucks for minimum wage
>never drank before but now I'm drinking a bunch of cheap liquor during the week to numb the pain

>29
>Net worth ~$80k
>Own home, mortgaged (20ish equity)
>$4000K month
>own car

The sad thing is, I am in about the 80% percentile for my age group, and still feel like a total failure. Our generation is truly screwed and americans are probably better off than europeans in aggregate

I know people in Houston, the oil industry there is almost as bad as here, and moving there for work as an engineer is impossible unless you have at least 5+ years experience

>24 years old
>no education except Abitur
>being a depressed neet for 4 years now
>no motivation to do anything

How do break out of this misery?

>only make $18/h CAD($13.50 USD)
Nigger I'm 21 and make $12.66 money isn't everything unless you're a kike

I change tires for 20 bucks an hour. I hate my life

>25
>40k CAD

Unemployed since 2013.

>I am about to move across the country to take a 13 dollar/hour part-time job (thanks obama) and I have a graduate degree.

It's not Obama's fault that you're fucking stupid.
>Hurr I'll move across the country for a $13/hr PART TIME job! That makes perfect sense!
Fuck off.

Holy shit, that's well past 50/hr in chicago.

>Alberta
>NEET
wew

That's God-tier level bud

show work

Yeah, that's the fucking trap isn't it? I remember seeing job postings for entry level positions that said 2+ years of experience required. Like what the fuck does entry level mean then? It's tough being young and just out of school in this economy.

The people you know in Houston. Do any of them have any power or know anybody with any power? If you had a chance to meet someone with power, are you able to be a bro and win them over?

You're moving for $13/hour? This gig better have prospects for future advancement or you're an idiot.

Anyone know the source of this image? I've always been interested.

Try going from 18.12 to $75k a year down to $10.75 in a span of 14 months

Chill out OP, this month I only made 440 euros in total.
Anything that you burgers measure as a failure is called being a millionaire in Estonia.

moving across the country for a job that pays less than double minimum wage is retarded first of all and since its part time i can only assume your graduate degree was in basket weaving or something equally as dumb since you can't critically think or have any semblance of consequence in your myopic decisions

What went wrong?

Varg Vikerenes has some advice for us

meh

I'm not a neet at all like you are, but I've been feeling kinda stuck in my place. Just got diagnosed with MS and interestingly enough it's given me a new lease on life. My point is that you probably need to just add something to your life to shake it up.

lmao that cringe customer

Im 19 making 21$/h in the trades as a first year apprentice. Will make over 40/h by the time im 23. Still wont be able to afford a house in vancouver because of all the fucking nippers buying up all the property

>UNCOMMON
Hi, proxyfag.

What trade? How did you get the job?

if it makes you feel better, i work with 50+ year olds that make that much at a call center

Not that ive taken any of it but it all makes sense. The government wants you to depend on it, the way to live when you depend on the government is complicated and unfulfilling. One can live free and have a simple fulfilling life

25 years old makes you a decently grown man

eww
Well desu it could be worst senpai. Could also be better.

I'm 22 and never been formally employed. I start a school sponsored (read: unpaid) internship next week, so yay me. I guess.
I'm fucked aren't I

lurk moar fagit

I won't be a millionaire but it should be stable employment for the next 35 years or so.

Right there with you dude

>23
>$16/h data entry contract job

Failed to put any thought in actual career plans or goals, so here I am.

About to turn 24, graduated with a degree in Linguistics and Software Engineering but I work at Fedex as a courier.

I make $19.50 an hour but I'm only able to work 25 hours a week because management doesn't want me to be full-time as that would mean the possibility of overtime. At least I get full benefits including dental.

It's okay.

My new job was a technical sales specialist for a marketing solutions company. They said it was mostly helping clients with problems and getting more customers, turns out it was a bit more technical and less getting new customers. I fucking flew from LA to SF to Portland to Seattle not being able to help clients

Varg is a muslim sympathizer.
Fuck him.

Since Notley fucked this province straight in the ass, yeah you get about 100 people applying for that job. So wages have dropped like crazy too. I'm going to get a second degree while this downturn passes.

No, that's entirely appropriate for 22. Most "entry-level" positions now require a couple years of experience now, so it's basically expected that you'll do unpaid intern bitchwork for a while. Many of my friends who have decent jobs got them by parlaying their good performance in an internship into a paid full-time position afterward.

capitalism wants you to feel worth what you're paid. capitalism wants you to associate your value with money. capitalism wants you to feel like a loser if you can't make more money today than you did yesterday. you can either let capitalism tell you what you're worth or you can decide yourself

im mostly into digital art

>I'm fucked aren't I

Things can change.

why can't nipples just go away

What makes you say that?

More fun than getting paid $33USD/hr for being an email cuck

Nope.
Millions are in your situation and that means unrest and War is coming.
The shake up will give you another shot.
Prepare.

Let's be real. Notley can't control global commodity prices. Notley can't delay the shale boom in America. Harper's gamble on Keystone failed because America is on track to becoming energy independent so now we're left trying to build a pipeline across the Rockies so we can sell it to the chinks.

You are fucking right.

The problem is that I feel so much high rpessure on myself because my parents are both academics and make about 400k/year so I would feel like a total loser if I only made 60k/year so I dont even try.

...

32 years old with PhD in microbiology here...unemployed...

This

Fuckin eh!

Sheet metal. Owner of the company was doing a side job at my house replacing the furnace/some ductwork and overheard me talking about my shitty labor job (was omly making 14/h) and he offered me a job. Joined the union, got hired and im making pretty good money+benifits and pension

Become a gay proustite. Seriously, I've heard that it becomes easier once you fine your groove.

i remember you making this thread before that's funny as hell what happened to you
>be dumb user
>make decent money working at one company for a couple years
>then out of nowhere decide to ditch them for a "better oppurtunity" that didn't work out
>come crawling back to the original employer
you're never going back to that wage unless you're there for 4+years you realize that right

>be me
>get $17 USD job with absolutely no experience
>it fucking sucks ass but I need the money
>realize they are struggling to find people cause everyone is a weed smoking liberal Berniefag that wants free shit and to do stand-at-a-customer-service-desk 9$ minimumwage jobs instead
>I see this and work like a muy rapido motherfucker with the productivity of two of their recent hires combined
>only 3 months into the job and not even hired as a full employee
>tell them I'm more accurate and high productivity with documented proof and I want a raise with the subtle impression that I am about to quit but still want to work here
>nudge my multiple bosses if I'm going to hear back about it
>"no, I haven't talked to him about it yet."
>notice that they can't keep anyone on for more than a couple weeks to a month
>see this and nudge one last time
>"yes, we are discussing it."
>I get the raise
>it's a fucking $5 raise and I'm now making almost as much as the 50 year old dudes that have been there for decades
>boss introduces a new bonus program to incentivize new hires
>ace the bonus that the old people suck at and cant do
>the 21 year old faggot is making almost $10 more an hour with overtime than the 50 year old bosses about to retire
>boss resigns
>new boss fucks up and posts wages of everyone in the building on the bulletin board
>half my coworkers start to respect me as the company's best worker ever and the other half instantly start scoffing at me and treating me like shit out of envy

Nobody starts at 400k/year unless there's mad nepotism going on. 60k/year is a good place to start. The economy is rough on the young right now. When it turns around, you want to be the guy with a resume that says you spent the shit years getting experience, not the guy with a resume that says you didn't do fuck all.

Why do you guys keep going off an hourly rate? I do fixed pricing for most of my work.

Sadly this is normal now. You're not a total failure at all.

Yeah but Notley and her ilk could at least enter an Austerity period for the provincial government and stop about 90% of their unnecessary spending so people will stop hating their guts.

21 and make 14.07 an hour part time. Get around 17 hours only a week, but I work for the easiest department that gets the least hours overall.

To anyone looking for a job, look up FedEx Express, starting is like 12 bucks an hour, 13 if you are willing to drive tugs(which usually gets you more hours too), and if you sign a guarantee you always get at least 17 hours pay a week, but are expected to work sunday's and stay late if planes are late.

Best part? I work for the hub considered the BEST for the past year yet we are always hiring due to a 75% turnover rate (mostly people quitting on their own) and my lord do people get away with some bullshit.

Basically be on time and don't drop a can of you drive and your good.
