technically there are rocket pods you can fit on to fighter jets. I know the russians have at least one type. Not sure if there is one for US airframes. israel probably made them or the author is a retard.

Well technically guided missiles still use solid rocket engines for thrust.
Helicopters use rocket pods with unguided rockets of course, but I've never heard of them being used on an F-16.

There are rocket pods that can be fitted to an F-16 (as well as many other jets), but they are rare to see today as you have to get within range of AA to fire them.
