Mostly agree, though I think the difference is more due to position of power and not neccesarily theology.
Shiites are under constant assault by Sunnis while Sunnis have multiple that they can fight considering they are like 80% of the muslim population. So yes, support the Shiites agianst the Sunnis to stabilise the balance of power between the 2 muslim groups and agianst the jews cuz fuck the jews but don't trust or idolize the Shi'ites in any way outside of that. If Shi'ites were in the position of power that the Sunnis are they'd probably be doing the same shit.

Also, Shiite is more democratic as families and clans have more power in peace time. This is a holdover from their Mediterranean influences (Greeks). Sunnis are autocratic even in peace times and more prone to monarchy with a slave class at the bottom. Sunnis are in power because they are more useful to the West: you only need to find one corrupt Sunni to become king and you control them, Shiites resist monarchy forced on them.
