I want to switch majors Sup Forums. I was studying for History and education, but I realised that it was the biggest waste of time, I hated kids, and I was gonna be the biggest fag in my family. I came to a conclusion that I gotta do something else that will actually benefit society and my life at the same time.

I've been getting lots of advice to not be a history teacher. That the path is and career is a terrible one, especially today.

I was thinking if all things failed, I would just learn a trade like A/C Repair or something, and live somewhere else in the US.

While I still have the chance to be in college, I want to give it one last try. What careers are red pilled, and will get me job in the future, much appreciated.

Selfish Bump

Why must god spit me like so

You don't have to have a job in your major. I know history majors who work in wall street, public relations or whatever

Sounds like you already know what to do.

protip: college is a waste of time. non stem is garbage, and stem and trades are a meme soon to be oversaturated. you'd be best off starting a small agrarian cult

>gotta do something else that will actually benefit society
why? what has society, other than your family, ever done for you?

be honest with yourself

Economics is red pilled. Economic history even more. Also, much better $$ than history.

So what's the point in having a major then? To just make your resume look nice?

Bullshit. It's not a waste of time. You just have to know how to navigate through it.

Pretty much

...

This famiglia.

I'm a history major myself, and although I think I would really enjoy teaching later in life, that meager paycheck won't be enough to support a healthy family. I'm part time in senior care now and will be able to get a good position once schools done.

A history degree is surprisingly flexible, it gives you an excellent understanding of things and people and good perspective. Both law and law enforcement are good options, and with a master's you can do pretty much anything you want.

Take heart /his/torian, there is great opportunity in this world

Got a BS in Geology, current in materials science.

Best Employment Opportunities:
(Fill in the bank) Engineering
Geophysics
Construction Management
Architecture
Accounting
IT security
CS
Physics
Business (MBA)

Good fields you don't necessarily need college for:
IT
HVAC
Construction Management
Hazardous Waste Removal
Industrial Operations

As with any degree, an MS is going to get you more money/better gig, but often a Phs can make you over-qualified in some cases

gl

Biology major here.
I've considered this, but a small agrarian cult is not long-term sustainable for my comfort and success.

Short term sacrifice for longer term gains. A white collar job will provide all the income I need for a comfortable, successful life plus retirement.

Agrarian cults are prone to failure, mismanagement, and are very much exposed to seasonal weather anomalies.
When society has allowed us to live comfortable, technologic lives, why should we reject that for primitive living?

Wanna be an escort? I can handle your supplier relations for you.

Mother fuckers basically made college a "enhance your resume for $10,000 a year" seminar.

Nice trump fish illusion.

Youre catching on.

you can still have wifi and shit. but a small (less than 100) community of fascist agrarians doesnt need much to proper. it's not like there wont be a diverse array of members, some of which having real jobs

That was unintentional.

I appreciate the advice from everyone in this thread. It's making more sense and honest then what they are telling me in college.

I will have to politely decline your offer, thank you very much.
