Why does Sup Forums feel the need to intrude on other people's private business? I get that libertarianism is a fantasy because of muh roads but being here has turned me a bit towards that seeing all the autistic curmudgeons here for whom experimentation, risk, and bad choices, are to be legislated out of existence. I guess I see the soul in what Sup Forums originally was (Ron Paul) not in fucking with druggies and gays. I can only imagine how dour a post-nazi world would have been in Sup Forums's monochromatic vision.
And every time one of your new heroes pop up it turns out they fuck blacks, are jewish, married to a jew, or gay/trans and that just sets many of you right off. Diversity doesn't need to be forced or encouraged, sometimes it just is and its good to not live in an echo chamber all the time.
You don't have to love people who are different than you, just tolerate their existence, so why is that too much to ask?
Give me examples plz of long term successful modern authoritarian rule
Blake Lee
Ok
Austin Murphy
China. Russia under Putin. Kazakhstan under Nazarbayev. Saddam Hussein's Iraq (would have survived had the US not interfered). Libya under Gaddafi.
Matthew Wright
long term, this folded faster than a deck of cards
Chase Turner
all lovely places to live and all
Carter Brooks
There are plenty of historical examples as well but I'm assuming you want examples from the last 100 year era.
Also Chile under Pinochet was great, although I don't know if you'd consider that "long term".
Kevin Flores
>Took the entire world to collapse it despite having no resources whatsoever and less than a third of the domestic product of the allies >I-it wasn't going to survive!
Gabriel Jenkins
Go ahead and dream of your turbokike fantasy world where McDonalds endorsed PMCs fight over childslave prostitution camps, sure sounds better than current day Russia
Ayden Stewart
Most of these areas are plagued with historical legacies that have destroyed their quality of life. However, I would argue that life as an upper-middle class to upper class citizen in any of these countries is better than in the Western world.
Anyways, quality of life is irrelevant since all you wanted to know was if there are any examples of any successful long term authoritarian states recently, not whether every citizen will be happy.
Colton Gomez
Well I suppose I would want post 1917 examples. Communism really changed the game on authoritarianism.
Camden Jones
This. Nazi Germany would have been around for a long, long time had the USSR not existed and the bankers not pulled the plug on the country.
Ryder Morgan
It was *profitable* for the rest of the world to gang up and collapse it. UK would have taken it out with or without the US's help.
PMC?
Says the guy living in the new-socialist republic.
Dylan Sanchez
>I guess I see the soul in what Sup Forums originally was (Ron Paul) not in fucking with druggies and gays. Implying Ron Paul wouldn't also "cry about gay cake" (which in non-libshit language translates to "believe, correctly, that bakers should have the right to refuse service").
Ryder Ortiz
It wasnt, you illiterate fuck. Germany's economy was fully geared for war. Germany needed to wage war to get something out of all their military spending.
>leaf thinks german economic structure was a sustainable model during peace time.
Nicholas Williams
Private Military Contractors.
Nicholas Scott
>And every time one of your new heroes TRS was never near universally accepted on Sup Forums, I'm not sure why people keep acting like it.
In fact, Jim is the only youtube goy who I rarely see anyone be able to say anything bad about. This is because he is literally one of us.
Jayden Miller
>Give me examples plz of long term successful modern authoritarian rule
Well, I gave you sufficient examples of effective authoritarian governments in the modern era. Look at Saddam's Iraq. Yes, he had a brutal ruling style, but he modernized the country, tried to open it up to foreign investment, improved the economy, all the while suppressing ethnic rivalries and hatred that had existed for centuries. Many people say Iraq was the nicest Arab country under Saddam. Take out authoritarianism, give them """democracy"""" and the country falls into pure chaos and pandemonium in ten years.
Authoritarianism is the glue of society. Democracy is the solvent. Democracy is a failure.
Brayden Powell
>other people's private business literally no such thing
Carter Barnes
Literally not an argument. I do not agree with this SJW quasi-socialist government. If I had it my way, Trudeau would be deposed of and replaced with a right wing strongman.
Jackson Carter
Fascist Spain, then.
Evan Cooper
why are (you) even here faggot?
Leo Collins
This. Franco isn't as appreciated as he ought to be.
Camden Taylor
It was a bit of hyperbole, I suppose my post is only directed at the hardcore neo-nazi division of Sup Forums. I get with nu/pol/ and all there's more centrists and liberals on here.
China treats the common man as a dog and eats the dog.
What people do behind closed doors isn't always public knowledge.
Lucas James
To shill, probably.
Landon Miller
>all authoritarians are neo nazis
I never say this but, fuck off back to r€ddit.
Henry Wright
capitalistic communism is the way to go. Convert now!
Jeremiah Kelly
>China treats the common man as a dog
Source?
>inb4 anecdotal news story >inb4 fake news
Lincoln Barnes
I'm so tired of this freedom meme. There is no such thing as an action that doesn't negatively affect others.
Tyler Adams
This.
Asher Diaz
>An ideology waging war against the whole world isn't sustainable. >Get's btfo ???
Ayden Johnson
Foxconn factories.
Isaiah Davis
We do tolerate their existence. They just have to exist somewhere else.
Luke Ortiz
How are you going to separate gays out effectively? Fascism isn't free.
Blake Rodriguez
He isn't talking about gays, he's talking about people who don't belong in our countries like nogs and sand people, idiot. God why do all libertarians have a hard-on for open borders?
Oliver Martinez
Well you will certainly have to live with the ones already here. Keeping borders secure is fine, genocide to remove certain populations is a bit harder to justify.
Juan Bailey
Who said anything about genocide dude? You're jumping from A to Z without hitting anything in between. Honestly I would just tell them to A) completely assimilate IE name changes, drop any non-Christian religion (atheism or agnosticism is fine) no more ethnic food stores etc. or B) (the preferable solution) just send them all back to their country of origin unless they are highly skilled (doctor, dentist, lawyer, etc).
Gabriel Johnson
So no more freedom of religion? Lol whats ur problem with ethnic food stores. I feel like that's one of the best part of immigrants is that they understand how to use foods you don't.
Blake Johnson
Correct, no more freedom of religion. This was a country founded by white men, specifically Anglo-Saxons who belonged to the Protestant denominations, and Frenchmen belonging to Catholicism. If you choose to not adhere to any religion, that is fine. However if you wish to join our society you must adhere to a common set of norms like a common religion - otherwise you start to fall down the "nation of immigrants" and "post-national state" bullshit.
Also, the whole notion that somehow immigrants make some profound contribution to our society with their cuisine is ridiculous, considering I could just take their recipe for whatever, name is something else, and then not have to deal with all the other shitty baggage that comes with immigrants.
Jackson Jenkins
It would be if they won, they'd have the east and control over the majority of Europe.
Benjamin Anderson
well in the us at least, don't know about the laws of canada, that would be hard to pull off. Yeah anyone could make ethnic food, but few americans do. I dunno, you may not like it but its certainly one of the easiest pieces of foreign culture to enjoy.
Ethan Baker
They would've controlled Europe via puppet governments from the Urals to the British Isles.
I'm not saying I don't enjoy ethnic food, I'm just saying it's a very poor reason to flood your nation with foreigners.
Luis Barnes
I never said it was a reason to flood us with foreigners.
Lincoln Edwards
We like roads.
Austin Morgan
Fair enough, I was just inferring that you were pro-immigrant.
Asher Bennett
I don't think I fall into the category of libertarians yet in a strict sense I am just seeing how they could be opposed to the knee-jerk reactionaries found here who believe violence is a solution to everything.
Justin Powell
Singapore.
Ethan Garcia
Tiny little areas are easy to micro-manage effectively, I'll give you that.
