No. Only once he co-opted the anger and resentment white americans had been feeling against the left did he become popular.

Generally, yes. Except for communists, but they hate all successful people.

yes, that's why it's hilarious how fast they turned on them when he ran as a republican.

In some ways, yeah. He used to be celebrated as a testament to the American Dream.

he sort of represented a archetype from the 80's. image was mostly positive. he had a fucking cameo in home alone, and 'trump' was synonymous with business savvy, deserving or not. not really news, but he built an image during his ventures into Manhattan property, and developed it into a brand.

I always knew him as that one rich guy who did a lot of eccentric shit like The Apprentice and that Wrestlemania thing. Also "down the hall and to the left" from Home Alone 2.

Yes he was generally liked by everyone except Scottish tribesmen and blacks that didnt pay rent before he ran for president

I didn't really have an opinion on him besides he seemed like an eccentric billionaire with goofy hair.

His cameos always made me chuckle

Yes and no. I remember he shit on Rosie O'Donnell way before it was cool to do so and when everyone loved her. It was surprising how flak he caught for it.

No opinion. Didn't even know he had a TV show.

Actually I guess I had a negative opinion since one would imagine he's not going to ride the banks too hard, but he was able to convince me that his main policy directions are really the more important things to do ASAP.

Everyone loved him before 2011.

>yfw only Rosie O'Donnell

this

>trump? that rich guy from tv?
>after accouncing he's running
>LITERALLY HITLER RAPES VAGINAS AND GRABS WOMENS
still makes my neurons fire

I kinda hated him as a kid. He seemed like a douche.

>implying Serbs have TV

Yeah

Hes made dozens of cameos and shit

I've never heard of him before he ran for president.

He had a tremendous brand. Trump tower is a landmark in NYC as people stroll down 6th ave. Cameos in WWE, apprentice, late night. Known as a playboy of sorts with the miss universe pageant and casinos. He always made headlines in politics post 2010, being featured on CNN for things like "trump comments on Obama's decision to ___". In general yes, people liked him.

He's half-Scottish, why would they hate him?

This is your country on emotional high estrogen spoiled babies with worthless degrees

If someone in Finland knew about Trump before this, it was probably because of The Apprentice.

And Ivana suing a finnish designer for using the name IvanaHelsinki.

He pays for the central park Ice rink

PAYS FOR IT

how could you hate a guy like that.

think he was quite liked in the 80s from what I've seen, but his more cartoonish reality show character and the birther controversy got him a lot of hate even before he ran.

This. And I still hate his personality, but I'm glad he won because I agree with most of his policies.

Oh, and i once met a chick in Las Vegas who wanted to bone me in her room at the Trump tower.

Heh... that was a weird night.

>Appears in Home Alone 2
>Corey Mclucken becomes autist AF because trump told him to go LEFT
>Home alone is loved by George Costanzas everywhere
>Trump continues to make matters worse by encouraging autist wrestlemania fans
>Then fucks things up even more through reality TV, contributing to the population's narcissism
>whathaveidone.gif
>spends the rest of his days becoming republican POTUS to correct all his past mistakes.

EXTREMELY RARE

no one disliked him, he was just a well known public figure that people didnt think much about

For a flashy rich guy people liked him a lot more than you'd expect

Znas li sta je extremely rare? Da dobijes that sweet pussy

No. I thought he was a blowhard, a nothing, essentially a meme creation of the New York tabloids in the 80s-90s. I paid zero attention to The Apprentice.

In 2016, I did a 180 very quickly, with the initial strong persuasion moment probably watching a 20-minute youtube compilation of Trump's funniest remarks during the primaries, and then stumbling upon Scott Adams.

I didn't know anything about him besides his catch phrase from his tv show.

He wanted to build a golf course in scotland and some people there were against it

>tfw people forgot about trumps affiliation and close ties with the jewish mafia.
enjoy 8 years of jewery.

kek, ipak smo na 4chanu

Everyone knew Trump was pro-Israel from the beginning.

Donald once stopped his limo to intervene on part of a guy getting beaten with a bat. He took the bat and chased the guy off. He was a man of the people even though he was rich.

youtube.com/watch?v=MMKFIHRpe7I

Remember when Trump beat Vince McMahon?

he's talking about the mafia not israel

Better than muzzies

>This man has power to destroy the world.

He was just some random rich fuck with goofy hair who was always surrounded by the hottest bitches whom Niggers loved to rap about & pay tribute to. Interesting how niggers all of a sudden hate him when he hasn't even done anything to them.

I can understand beaners & sand niggers hating Trump, but it's fucking crazy how Niggers are to the most angry towards Trump.

watch

youtube.com/watch?v=CVJOPucMAXY

He also BTFO congress on some UN building overspending

He is the white Biggie Smalls

I kinda used to have an irrational dislike for him I thought the show was stupid

Niggers are never rational

They're simple-minded and easily manipulated.

never gave him a second thought until he announced

but was 100% on board from the first speech

/ourguy/

Very much. He was on the cover of tabloids constantly in the 80s and 90s. He was world famous 30 years before the first season of the apprentice. Hailed as a genius, author, billionaire, and sex god.

He was seen as a pretty cool rich guy with stupid hair. Trump would go on morning talk shows and be cheeky about sex but still lovable. He'd did roasts, movie cameos, etc

He was also cool with the niggers, so many rap songs about him. Also this interview. youtube.com/watch?v=nMokghwsCzU

He had a great role in one of those Home Alone movies.

Everyone just viewed as the stereotypical successful businessman, I don't remember anyone disliking him he was more just a stereotype and an interesting public figure

this, every girl was rocking that sexy trump calendar in hs

He has been a famous person in the northeast at least since I was a kid.
I am basically 40.
People have been intrigued by him a long fucking time.

DUDE MONEY

I don't think many people gave him much regard either way, he was always known to me as the kind of mean apprentice guy, that's how a lot of people I knew thought of him as well, knew of him but didn't know too much about him.

Maybe the case is different for older people since I'm in my mid 20s but all he was is a well known billionaire who mingled with a-list celebrities.

>not watching WWE in 2007
>not making a video clip of Trump's appearance on RAW on 12th of March to show your friends
pls

I used to watch The Apprentice growing up, back then my family and I enjoyed the show. I guess you could say we liked Trump, although we did know he could be arrogant and ballsy at times, like when he tried to patent his "You're Fired" catchline. He cranked that to 11 when he ran for president of course, turned off some people who've knew him for a long time but in the end it all paid off.

You idiots are idiots brainwashed by the news.

Trump received more of the black vote than Romney

jebiga momci, evo nas na Sup Forums

>Be real life oldfag
The name Trump meant success in business and I always saw him as the epitome of the American Dream. He is American Royalty.

Most Americans would openly admit that he was deeply successful, and had built a brand out of his name.

But EVERYONE thought he was distasteful
> mfw not a shill, all in now
The general sentiment was 'god, he's successful, but who would want to be him?'

What city or do you live in? Serious question, I imagine its hard getting Internet there

He was well liked until he got involved in that birther stuff. The media was already against him when he announced he was running.

Why though? It's painfully obvious Obama is some kind of CIA stable horse with a painfully flimsy manufactured past.

I think the most accurate way to put it was that people loved to hate him.

NO

NY billionaire playboy hell yes

Stfu you stupid roonigger, black people Fucking hate trump here. I live in Philly. I know niggers.

Philthy doesn't count as a city, and most of the inhabitants don't count as people. It's more of a festering wound on the Great State of Pennsylvania.

Aways saw him on TV and movies as a kid. Always thought people liked him and he did a bit for New York, too. I've always associated him with the 80s high life and coporate success. I really don't understand the hatred towards him. If he ran for president in the 80s or 90s he would have universally loved. We know he talks shit like a high school student, but the hatred is uncalled for.

Trump was a laughing stock in the Eighties. His name was the byword for poor taste, tacky glitz, and social climbing. Basically, all form, no substance. Go back and look at all the Bloom County comic strips that were about him.

He purposefully caricatures himself, he is a fairly decent actor in his own right. So a lot of people liked and disliked him for this opulent playboy image that is self-deprecating and ironic to begin with.

Yeah people liked him. He was a bit arrogant but most people either liked him or were indifferent to him.

Some of us liked Trump before half of you were even born.

This isn't true at all.

Americans like Successful people

same tribe

people loved donald before. hew was just another Reality TV star.

He must have got redpilled hard.

The 80s was the epitome of poor taste. Trump's contribution to the zeitgeist was minimal at best.

This, he was/is a status symbol, the epitome of success in New York. I grew up admiring him a great deal.

I didn't say people disliked him, although I'm sure some people did. I mean, how can you hate a guy who was in a Home Alone movie? And you're right about Americans liking successful people.

I recently took a ride through Vegas. Somehow last time I was there I totally failed to notice the yuge gaudy gold Trump hotel there. Then again I grew up near the city so big buildings don't catch my eye.

But I have to say it was pretty neat to look out the window and ask myself why I hadn't noticed that big gold shiny building. What a madman.

He was my idol in my youth.

story time

If hilary clinton decided to run for republican candidacy in eight years they'd all turn her into the devil too.

To them anyone who is republican is a racist demon neo-nazi who oppresses them. It doesn't matter who. Could've been Jeb Bush, Rudy Giuliani, or anyone. The rioting and reaction would've been the same

Accutally makes sense. He is probably isn't too pleased in how his reality tv status made everyone an narcissist, so he ran for president to try and bring things back to normal before he became popular.

Hell it's a landmark in Chicago even. I don't know the man personally obviously so I don't know what he's really like. He seems like a dick, but if he improves the country then good. The president isn't my friend anyway.

Apart from libs hating on him as a Repub donor in places like Cracked.com like 4 years ago, never heard any of it

>libs like to bring up that Trump was a Democrat longer than he was a Republican
>libs like to bring up that Trump is a racist sexist nazi
>Trump was a registered Democrat when he was accused of doing all his terrible things

Really makes you think... shame liberals don't.

He and his father were New York royalty. My grandparents and mother even lived in the apartments his father built.

>Trump was a laughing stock in the Eighties.
And now he's the President, motherfucker. Let's throw down.

This, he's a living shitposter. He's a post-aware memetic consciousness.

yet Sup Forums still supports him. you fags are getting jew'd.

i want anti-zionists to leave

anti-zionism is leftist poison

lmao
good goy. praise the zionist agenda.

I mean, his entire persona was built on his business.
He was seen as the image for the average rich new yorker.

I liked him when he started publicly questioning the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate and inquiring as to whether or not he really was a natural-born citizen.

Trump helped bring a lot of attention to the issue and just when it was reaching critical mass, Obama miraculously managed to take down Osama Bin Laden, diverting all attention away from the controversy surrounding his birth.
