Blame the government who purposely limits the supply of doctors and creates massive regulations which create massive overhead for said doctors to help feed lawyers.

>mild injury

>Be Canadian
>Be uninsured because I was in military and provincial govt didn't know I was in Ottawa or deployed overseas
>6 years later return with no insurance
>Need to see a doctor to fix shoulder
>Cost? $3000

At least you burgers have discount medical for uninsured, I don't I get charged full rate.

>$75 for 10min of being a bitch

What is 'recouping the cost of unfunded mandates' for $1000, Alex?

>be dentist
>the average cuck coming in pays me more than he earns in a day just to look at his teeth for 3 minutes

Brush your teeth.

>People who can literally save lives charge a lot of money for their time.

How is that trade coming along Skyler?

Don't know where the fuck you live, but here that visit costs $160. And I usually have to pay in full because I never make my deductible since I rarely go see a doctor more than once per year for any medical issue.

Fix your own eye faggot.

meanwhile paramedics are paid almost nothing

As said by someone who has never left their basement

FUCK doctors

Sounds like you should have invested that 75$ in some eye protection.

Bro Im experienceing tooth decay.. is floride going to kill me? Will it help my teaf?

I was removing a cat from a sofa. Little bastard jumped and clawed me.

You wouldn't know. Leafs don't have eyes, and chinamen eat cats.

How fucking close were you to the cat? Are you a midget?

I'm 6'2. I seized him, he jumped from my hold.

>inb4 catman

I only keep him around to keep away flies and moths.

I suppose you'd rather pay $500/month insurance so your co-pay is only $20, right?

You're lucky you found a place that will take cash. But standard medicine is a joke anyway.

I once had a repetitive stress disorder from typing too much. We were required to report such things as workers' comp injuries. I went to their doc who basically touched my hand, turned it over as if he could see inside it, prescribed pain pills and a wrist thing to wear, put me on limited duty so I had to take frequent breaks. That is standardized medicine.

We also had a "pain-free program" with holistic healers. The guy knew right away the problem was not in the hand but in my forearm, felt around until he got right on the sore spot, and explained what I was doing wrong and how to avoid it, gave a bit of a massage and I was all better.

If you can find someone good, go to a holistic healer.

How does the government limit the supply of doctors?

>>Uninsured cause I'm a poor handyman
>>$75 for 10min of a doc's time

75?

Call a union plumber, or electrician. That 75 will seem like a bargain.

>OP says services cost money
well, nothing new here

>Owning a cat

kek

I'll take not wanting mice for $800, Alex.

Genetic fallacy.

Would you rather be OWNED by the cat?

>mild eyelid surgery
Go back home chink, you're not fooling anyone.

It's not really *just* 10 minutes.

Doctors take like 20 years of their life to become one.

Actually cat scratches and bites (especially if it's outdoors) are more serious than you think because you literally teach them to dig around in their poop and they lick their assholes and shit so when they bite you or scratch you it's almost guaranteed to get infected if you don't wash it right away.

Yeah and great pianists train for 20 years to become world-class musicians and yet they don't set a price for one ticket at one gorillion dollaridos per person. No matter how much time did you waste in med school or how high you think of yourself - your time does not cost 1000$ per hour, even if you spend this hour drilling other guy's teeth or poking insides of his asshole. Normies pay you that much only because you've pulled off a jewish trick by forcing the idea of """value""" to medical duties and creating a self-sustaining circle:
>medicine costs a lot
>i'll become a doctor and will help people for less monies than those jews
>however, I can get plenty of money...
>becomes a doctor and rips off people

$450/hr seems reasonable for a doctor who spent 8 years in school plus several years in residency.

Auto mechanics charge over $100/hr for labor.

If it's a mild injury, why the fuck are going to waste a doctor's time to see it?

Pussy.

you literally only get a reasonable price for the pianist because he can perform for 1000 people at once. that 200 dollar ticket? for a 2 hour performance? that's 200,000 dollars for a coronary surgery.

here's a reality: we can now perform medical procedures and techniques that cost more than what most people will make in 10 years.

guess what, not everyone is worth it.

and taxing everyone to pay for it is suicidal. if you need a triple heart bypass, you pay 450,000 dollars, or you fucking die. because you weren't worth it.

guess what? you can teach someone to set a leg in 80 hours. you can probably afford to get a broken leg set.

unless you're paying for every fat retard to get a 500,000 dollar surgery at the same time.

If you have mice you have more problems than just being a cat owner. Fix your construction and keep your house clean chucklefuck.

Cats are parasites. Just get a dog.

I thought leafs get free healthcare by walking into a hospital.

>break foot
>in Korea so it's only $30 for x-rays and cast and some crutches

>back home in USA with "insurance"
>get a cold
>$100 please

>and taxing everyone to pay for it is suicidal. if you need a triple heart bypass, you pay 450,000 dollars, or you fucking die. because you weren't worth it.

Reminds me of a dindu that was refused a heart transplant because he wasn't worth it, but the media browbeat them into submission with constant DATS RAYCIS.

He then wasted the heart by getting fucking shot by police for attempted robbery.

i remember that.

>$75

Is that supposed to be considered outrageous?

A plumber would charge you that much or more for an hour of their time.

Regular checkups aren't expensive. It's hospitals and major procedures that get insane in the US.

The American Medical Association controls accreditation for medical schools creating an under supply in medical hospitals.

Couple that with insane malpractice insurance rates and a grueling medical school/residency/hospital gauntlet to even be authorized to work in clinics and it leads to an undersupply of doctors and a higher cost for doctor services.

Theres more nuance than that, but those are the basics of the current american system

His time is worth more than yours.

Because he's a doctor and you're some broke dick loser.

>5000 thousand dollars for 3 minutes usage of a CAT scan machine.

Murica

>be australian
>appendix goes to explode
>2 week stay in hospital plus all surgery
>free
Ah the lucky country.

Wait list premiums and taxes.

150 for 20 minutes of a plumbers time. Fuck plumbers.

Becoming a doctor is really, really, really hard. Becoming a plumber is not.

>free
Nice tax rate buddy

>get taxed slightly higher than other nations
>still live comfortably even in the lower working class
just move here, it's better

Are you denying that the government controls the supply of doctors or are you denying that regulations are needlessly oppressive in the medical field?

You are a fucking idiot

they walk in, get an appointment, and come back 6 months later if theyre still alive

>Paid $250,000 for my 3,000 sq ft house built in 2014
>Google average home prices in Austrailia
>Average size is 2300 sq ft
>Average cost in Sydney is $750,000
>Average cost in Melbourne is $590,000
>#1 for highest population of deadliest creatures
Sounds like a great place to live.

How many concerts does the pianist give per month and how many surgeries does the doctor perform? I bet that doctor works more than a couple days per month.
To add up, I'm not speaking about high-tier medicine like heart transplants or neurosurgery, I'm speaking of mundane doctor activities like check-ups, small-scale surgeries (get a broken arm or dislocated joint fixed) and emergency room services. A man is FUCKING DYING, he needs to get to the hospital and ambulance ride will cost him a couple hundred dollars. FOR WHAT? For getting in a fancy cab with ECG and pulse meter and a couple of injections to lower the pain or fix something like arterial pressure being too high/low? I can get the idea that masterful work like putting a plastic valve in the heart of a live person deserves solid payment, but... but... ambulance ride? Teeth check-up?
And yeah, you've mentioned that
>taxing everyone to pay for it is suicidal
Well, somehow a country that got through 2 large-scale revolutions within last century, suffered one of the worst cases of commies getting the helm of the government, went through quite a damn lot of shit managed to work out how to raise money for free medicine. Everybody gives 5% of their money to country-wide fund and that money get reallocated accordingly. Guess what, it leaves enough room for tremendous corruption AND covers the expences of running a public medicine program.

What is inelatic vs elastic demand

>Services cost money
Boohoo, go protest for free healthcare and higher taxes, you cuck.

>military
The Leaf government doesn't even provide for their veterans? What a joke.

He's not wrong.

Just get insurance doofus.

I thought you Svens had pretty good healthcare because you're already cucked by your government thru ridiculous taxes

You gonna fix it yourself faggot?

>Paid $250,000 for my 3,000 sq ft house built in 2014

Where?

>A plumber would charge you $75 for an hour of their time
Your fucking country is truly lost, cucks. Giving enough money to sustain yourself for more than a week for fixing a leak or changing the faucet? A truly retarded deed.

Red State Utah.

That's why real American men fix their homes themselves.

If food was done like health insurance we'd have a $10 copay for a cheeseburger at McDonald's while paying $200 a month.

Guess fucking what, the limited supply of doctors and overregulation makes insurance cost EXTRA. Let's not even talk about how fucked up the health insurance regulations are.

Taxes are for useful things like infrastructure, lower education. Not for when Cletus fails to keep his barn animal in check.

Nice. Here in MA, 1344 sq ft built in 1880 will run you about $200k.

zillow.com/homedetails/37-Pleasant-St-Ayer-MA-01432/57044493_zpid/

I have a spinal disease, so i went to the doctors to ask for some pain medication to make life bearable. He told me it was all in my head then wanted to charge me $80.
I just told him that he didn't do his job, so there was no way he was getting paid.

>Be German, go to hospital in 2015 for 2 days for a minor surgery via colonoscopy (dilation of stenosis)
>Be well paid, so say you want everything from the finest
Idiots at hospital let me sign statements I am a "self payer" even though I am insured (with state insurance, because private does not take due to pre-existing condition). Get 1600 Euro bill. Contest it, they send me my signature on papers... I say I thought this was for the "extra" shit... they say tough luck, they want it all, because insurance only covers half of normal cost.

Go there again for 2 days, same procedure, recently, tell them "this time I will only pay for single room"... well, ok, do the signature, get a crumpy doc doing surgery, be stuck in 2 bed room next to an alcoholic, because "muhh, don't seem to find single rooms any more", get students drawing blood, end up with huge 15cm blood hematom because he let blood from the vein massively flow into the muscle... still get 130 Euro bill for "single room" preference.

>not even bothering calling them that I didn't get a single room, German healthcare is broken 100%

thousand dollars for 3 minutes usage of a CAT scan machine.

Bullshit. Show me a bill where someone was charged $5000 for a CT scan. Typical charges are in the $150-400 range and if you pay cash up front you can get them even cheaper.

Don't forget the machine cost well over a million dollars, does not last forever, has very expensive buildout requirements like lead shielding and high capacity air conditioning, and is operated by a highly skilled technologist who makes $60 an hour or more.

Your fixation on cheeseburgers is probably why youll die of bedsores.

Shit argument.

Jesus that's insane. Here's an example of relatively common postings:

This is about 15-20 minutes to Salt Lake.

zillow.com/homedetails/5382-W-Callander-Dr-Herriman-UT-84096/2095631160_zpid/

I remember reading an article talking about how a small town in Alberta got rid of the whole fluoride in water thing and it caused the rate at which kids got bad teeth to exponentially rise

Yes I consider it a massive elephant in the room. Fucking half wits are getting paid doctors wages. Then investing that and making even more.

It turns out I knew the problem and could have fixed it for about ten bucks but my mum wouldn't let me.

Just buy a frenchy then.

I know very well what an inelastic demand is, and I am saying that jews which run medical institutions take advantage of it.
>HURR DURR this MRI machine costs gorillion dollaridos so you should pay 2k dollars per scan
>wait a bit, it scans a person within like 5 minutes and can process about 10 people per hour for 12 hours straight, so it's like 3000 people per month and somewhat between 30-35k per year, if each of them pays 2k USD it yields 60 mil per year, and the machine itself costs like a couple millions MOST, lets add maintainance costs, electricity bills, salary for the trainee who runs the scanner... okay, so total costs per year are 5, ok, 10 million dollars (let's get tremendous overhead just to make sure), and it works at 1/3 the capacity so net income is 20 mil and your net profit, jew, is 10 million per year just from that one MRI unit
>...
>REMEMBER ZION 6 BAJILLION GOYUM LOCALHOST HAPPENED DONT FORGET TO FEEL GUILTY FOR IT
Seriously, how do you feel when defending jew's right to rip you off for a basic service of healthcare?

I want to move back to a red state some day. I'm making more money than ever before at an easy, mind-numbing desk job, but this state is such a joke. All of New England is such a sad, un-American joke.

>tfw MA is the state where the American Revolution began
>can't buy a second AR because "muh ebil scary black assault rifles"

God help us all.

What the fuck are you talking about? Are you really this stupid? Healthcare costs are overinflated because of government intervention. Health insurance becomes a necessity--also overinflated--which not only is not warranted for trivial doctor visits but also inflates the cost of healthcare because it creates a blind consumer unaware of how much things *should* cost.

But then again you're just stupid.

Spent 7 days in a hospital having my gallbladder removed. Each

>operated by a highly skilled technologist
FUCKING KEK
Hospital is literally across the road and the old lady who operates the CT scanner is literally a nurse with basic understanding of using a mouse to click on highlighted buttons on PC screen. Only surgeons and intencive therapy guys actually require significant skill for their jobs.

I'm sure the excess costs go to doctor's wages who make shitoads, as well as compensation for poor niggers with no money getting expensive treatment

The government is too busy trying to sort its shit out to check tax returns properly, just cook your books

No theyre not, theyre to prevent stupids like you from clogging up the ER with minor coughs and aches while people with insurance bleed out waiting for a Doc.

Theres plenty of cheap plans on the marketplace. If you missed out thats your negligence. Fuck off.

Infrastructure? Education? My state can't even fix pot holes in the highways and keep niglets in school.

>it leaves enough room for tremendous corruption AND covers the expences
Ah, so that's all it comes down to: the tradition of Slavic corruption.

Either get rid of the corruption or let people buy their own insurance and people will pay much less than 5% total income on average. How these non-Americans deal with their governments stealing so much of their wealth to care for unwashed idiots is beyond me.

Tell me: how long are the waiting times for people with "free" government insurance?

>I only keep him around to keep away flies and moths.

Righto catman. Stop killing any spiders in your house like a little bitch boy, then kill your cat.

>Be Aussie
>Be on welfare
>Just spent $110 on Tribal wars 2 crowns
>Probably going to get some DMT and get high with a mate later tonight
>Get sick
>Have to spend a month in intensive care having gall bladder removed
>Get discharged from hospial
>Never hear about it again

I don't think you actually understand what that poster is trying to say, but good job on calling him stupid. 10/10 post.

This is how I know you're a fucking kid. There are no "cheap plans" unless you're making less than a fucking monkey. I have health insurance dumbass and between my employer and myself it costs $500/mo. Better than any shit you can get.

Seriously, go fuck yourself. Learn to get long-term perspective you piece of filth.

>degenerate Austist bragging about how he lives in a socialist hellhole filled with snakes and spiders

Nobody cares.

It's not hell when you don't leave the comfort of your home with your 60' xbox one, ps4 and gaming pc.

I eat scotch fillet quite often, you nigger.

The only things that get into my house are geckos. Never had a spider come in but have had snakes.

>corruption
You seem to be missing out fag. We are paying 5% of income to be sure that if (and in fucking Russia its not "if", it's "when") something bad happens to you, you'll get it fixed free of additional charge. I'm currently making about 2k per month, so I pay 1,2k per year to be sure that if my gall bladder goes haywire, my 7 days in hospital won't cost 225k. It's cheaper anyway. And, shall the corruption be eradicated, money will be invested in better equipment and overall quality of medicine (which is already pretty good, specifically when compared to what we had 15 years ago) will go even higher.

>Why do I have to pay money to speak to an expert who spent a decade learning enough about eyes that he can recommend treatments for injuries to them

Spiders don't get rid of field mice that come in for the winter.

Private insurance is what is driving prices up.

>Person A gets private insurance.
>Person A gets treated at hospital.
>Insurance company gets the bill, along with the bills for persons B through K, and stonewalls the hospital to only pay 40%.
>Hospital doesn't have to liquid assets to chase after a few thousand dollars in labour and supplies.
>Hospital takes 40%.
>Hospital changes its prices, so that 40% would be full price.
>Person B gets injured/sick again.
>Insurance refuses to pay 40%, wants to pay 35%.
>The cycle continues until person Z gets hurt.
>Z doesn't have health insurance, can't stonewall the hospital to only pay 20-40%.
>Z goes bankrupt, defaults on the fees.
>Jew banker's at the hospital claim losses of the inflated amount.
>Cycle continues.

Private insurance in the health industry has been a bane for the past forty years.

...

Oh and
>the waiting times for people with "free" government insurance
For what? A surgery? Month at worst unless it is something incredibly difficult like coronary artery bypass or liver transplant. For general treatment like having your pneumonia cured in hospital with several x-ray scans and copious amounts of antibiotics? An hour, maybe two.

>it scans a person within like 5 minutes

No it doesn't. MR scans are at least 20-30 minutes with some prep time at each end. Complicated studies are sometimes 2 hours long. Fuck off, Ivan.

Before Obamacare most individuals could get health insurance for less than $80/mo. 5% is not chump change and if you're making $50,000 a year that's almost $210/mo. No one should have to pay that much for health insurance.

What's 2300 sq ft in real units?

Also
>(((Shitney)))
>(((Hellbourne)))

Couldn't pay me to live there.

>he old lady who operates the CT scanner is literally a nurse with basic understanding of using a mouse to click on highlighted buttons on PC screen.

There's not any place in the US where a nurse is allowed to touch a single button on the console. Radiologic technologists have years of advanced training, and in most cases need extra certification to run a CT scanner instead of an ordinary X-ray machine.

Yeah, not here mate.
Cunt who did my ct for my face was barely intelligible.

I once got taken for X-rays by a fucking janitor because all the radiological staff went home.
It was not the first time he'd done that either.
