rich chinese people

yuan vs. usd

FPBP

>college gets more expensive as education becomes more worthless
really makes u think...

...

Housing is going to be the means the rich use to fuck everyone.

...

This is one of the reasons I will quit internet and smartphone usage after my studies. Internet and tv makes you stupid and has no real benefit in life.
Really, name me one benefit of it that books can't provide.

Government "assistance" in the red categories drives prices up. If the governement gives everyone a loan of 5000$ for college, college gets 5000$ more expensive forcing people into slavery

>critical goods required to better yourself cost much more
>hedonist pursuits become cheaper
I wonder...

colleges are welfare queens, the more money feds pump out in student loans the more colleges raise tuition
>they are the largest welfare queens in america

Calculate your annual costs that you either make to use the internet or tv (subscriptions, devices, power usage, ...) and calculate the things that you purchased because of it (commercials, online reviews, ...)

Stepping out of the internet life is a big fuck you to the happy vendor.

Getting those sikk 360 no-scopz online, fagit

already done in 2008
student loans is next

We are being pricegouged by greed (((elites))).

Bernie sanders was right at least regarding that. Its totally within Trump's character to demand more affordable prices for goods don't you think?

College loans are guaranteed by the government, so colleges know that they can charge whatever they want. If the government cut off this support prices would tank drastically.

Why don't you just get a head start and leave now because that was a fucking autistic statement.

Schools should be forced to buy from diffrent providers. Schools are the easiest way to create monopolies

>college
>childcare
>healthcare
>housing
doesn't this scream too many people?

things that are subsidized suddenly sky rocket in price

wonder who could be behind that?

late stage capitalism

Because I have exams in two days and I need my online documents for studying.

The main reason is because I am addicted to internet and it uses all of my daily life.

Gee wiz, all the inflated ones are being subsidized by the government. All the affordable ones are taken care of by markets.

Gummint offers free money to help people, sellers raise prices to absorb the extra buying power.

Not complicated.

Having you considered, idk, changes in supply demand equilibrium being the origin of broad prices changes as opposed to say inflation?

Government is the reason most of these have gone up.

>Housing
Regulations make it hard to build more housing, which fucks rent prices. Rent controls also factor in to this in some places.

>College
Loans are guaranteed by the government. They know they can charge whatever they want because they'll still get paid somehow.

The only one that's not easy to explain is healthcare.

This is what I was thinking

If anything this chart seemed like a good thing. It means that most people who don't want to go to college or raise a family can actually live quite comfortably on their own and could afford stuff like TVs, computers and game consoles

The fact that all this "important" shit costs so much is probably due to way too many people are using these services.

Oh gee I wonder which ones that government got involved in

Technology gets cheaper through advancing, becoming common and mass production

Well, apparently it is too complicated for most Americans. Sad.

Central banking and government regulations.

Mostly central banking though.

>increase demand to insanity levels
>price rises
No shit

Instant access to wealth of knowledge that fits in my pocket

Notice how consumer goods that have been outsourced like cars and clothing have not gone down in price.

This is what Sup Forums has been saying for two years now - moving factories overseas does not lead to lower prices for consumers, only higher profit margins

MAGA

>>hedonist pursuits become cheaper

Not even hedonist just useless. Housing education food and health are necessities, gadgets are not

How BRAINWASHED are you fucking idiots?

Literally NOBODY blames central banking and inflation when USA has printed trillions of dollars since then.
It's the MAIN reason the economy is so fucked up now and nobody has savings and wages have stagnated.

Sup Forums is just cucks for the jews.

End the Fed.

>I unironically believe in pseudoscience

You're missing the point entirely, you fool

Demand of other things rose much more

The demand for TVs is a lot higher than textbook demand and yet the price of TVs is a lot lower than in the 1990s, on average

government fucking with the free market of course

>Why is this happening?
Because you let Reagan rose to office.
Since then, it's been doing down the drain for the American middle class, in the last 35 years your GDP doubled but 80% of the American population either stagnated or got poorer, inequalities kept growing, large businesses weren't kept in check, and you now end up in a dead end.
You reap what you sow I guess.

The end of the US golden age prompted by the end of Cold War, along with Europe rising from its WW2 ashes and China rising from two centuries of decline, aren't helping either, I guess.

>New cars as a blue line
>Despite it clearly being over the 0% line

big pharma fags. We need to change how drug patents work.

That's definitely a part of it.

It's a big clusterfuck if corporate lobbying, regulations, outdated patent systems, perscriptions that are way to frequently given, and a few other things.

>businesses weren't kept in check

You can't centrally plan prosperity you commie

Entertaining shitposts

That image is retarded and try hard.

BUT OBAMA?!?!?!

The internal contradictions of capitalism are beginning to manifest and weaken the system.

This

How about free books? Lots and lots of free books

>keeping businesses, finance and inequalities in check to prevent available wealth from stacking up in a corner and fucking up the economy and the quality of life of the general population is akin to marxist central planning
>#McCarthy2020

>People complain about not having jobs
>The cost of childcare has more than doubled in 10 years

Shit nigga, just go babysit.

>more expensive to raise a family
>cheaper to occupy/entertain yourself

Books and other information resources are much more accessible digitally than they are in physical form by basically every metric.

Shit that matters vs. shit that doesn't.

ya goy too many people out there. this is good goy just play vidya and watch tv. :^)

>duuuurrr it's because of le trickle down meme
>central banks and inflation has nothing to do with it
This guy is a brainwashed idiot.

Pic related

Government subsidizes the red. Because the government will pay any price it creates artificial demand and prices anyone not gibsmedats out of the market. It's not an unintended side affects either. Independent people make poor slaves.

The blue things are made in China because minimum wage, environmental regs, Financial laws, and taxes make it impossible to complete.

>I unironically believe in an ideology that got proven wrong countless times
>the capitalist system will fall any day now

LOL

I think he was referring to browsing random bullshit like Sup Forums

what a fancy file name
(you)
here my friend, its my only (you), treat it well

Because the corporate overlords fleece the American proletariat for their basic needs, while pacifying them with the cheap, cloying luxuries of mass manufacturing. This will continue until the proles rise up and seize the means of production.

Just kidding, the proper response is just trust-busting (while big butt sluts rut & bust nuts) to make the markets more even and competitive.

>This guy is a brainwashed idiot.

>when your lecturer wrote the textbook
>when he expects you to buy your copy from him
>(((The Education Industry)))
>"why do prices go up hurr durr"

>Capitalist system has been on government life support for over 70 years via central banks and other forms of non-market state intervention
>LOL capitalism cannot fail
>mfw we will eventually be communist in everything but name by the end of the century as corporations and states consolidate to protect the ever contracting owners of capital.

College has become high school.

Public education, K-12, is just a detention center for the plebs unwanted children.

If you aren't sending your kid to private school before college, they'll be totally unprepared for undergraduate studies. (Talking about STEM...Liberal Arts is a waste of time)

It would be more beneficial to have young kids in apprenticeships and learn trades than sending them to school. Mandatory education needs to be removed; it's a failure anyway.

Capitalism has managed to sustain itself by adopting almost the entire socialist platform.

In the Communist Manifesto, Marx listed 10 measures that communists should seek to implement.

Nearly every western country now has 7 of the 10 in place.

Capitalism keeps buying time for itself by implementing welfare, implementing social security, implementing socialized medicine, but time is running out.

For you

Textbooks and college tuition are artificially inflated by government intervention and companies offering grants and donations. Who cares if it cost $60,000 if they don't have to pay a penny of that?

Childcare and Health Care are similar to a lesser extent with a number of other factors.

Food and Beverage rely more on oil prices than many other products, might be a factor, not sure though.

Housing has regional factors, not sure where this chart is referring to.

The rest of it is being exported to countries of rice farmers living in huts. They can get a nicer hut making things other than rice.

this decreases social mobility between classes and in theory encourages more consumerism and debt to be repaid to the capitalist ruling class, further cementing their social/economic position in society.

I wish I had gone to a trade school, after discovering just how much of a meme college is. It's literally just high school but easier and with more leftism.

...

Oy that file name! SHUT IT DOWN!

>he doesn't understand that central banks are responsible for the declining wealth and living standards of the poor and middle class and these awful recessions since we got off the gold standard in 1970 and allowed central bankers to print trillions of dollars
>he actually thinks his living standards will improve if the workers own the means of production
>he doesn't understand that the workers already consume 99% of consumer goods in the economy and eliminating the capitalist class is completely meaningless and won't help anyone
>he actually unironically believes in marxism, a theory that has been proven wrong a million times
>he actually unironically believes a communist revolution would EVER happen in his lifetime
>he actually believes he's more intelligent than everyone because he denies human instincts and basic economics

Industry and technology makes things cheaper.

Government subsidization intervention and introduction of state based monopolization at the top makes service and goods increase price.

Literally econ 101.

Somebody fucking gets it

>>he doesn't understand that central banks are responsible for the declining wealth and living standards of the poor and middle class and these awful recessions since we got off the gold standard in 1970 and allowed central bankers to print trillions of dollars

Someone doesn't know any history.

>Capitalism has managed to sustain itself by adopting almost the entire socialist platform.
No it hasn't lol. These social programs ate nothing close to actual communism.

>Capitalism keeps buying time for itself by implementing welfare, implementing social security, implementing socialized medicine, but time is running out.

LOL but these social programs have only impoverished the working class. It's lowered their wages, increased their prices and kept them dependant on the government.

If we hadn't had any of these things the past 60 years the average person would have much much more wealth. Prices would be extremely low and mostly everyone would be working on high paying service sector jobs for much less hours.

The fact Switzerland exists in it's mostly free market state with high living standards for its citizens must really make you people mad.
HIGHEST local purchasing power in the world and one of the freest markets in the world lol

All the stuff that is getting cheaper is virtual stuff, all the stuff that is staying the same is outsourced, all the stuff that os going up is unoutsourcable skilled labor or real resources.

Government regulations, teachers unions and socialism (doctors decree/hippocratic oath).

There's not as much regulation in technology as it is usually everchanging and disposable when new technology is available due to high levels of competition.

Nice rebuttal.

>listing the recessions either caused by central banks or caused by government giving special privileges to grant banks monopolistic privileges and print money

Thanks lol

Pretty glad hardly anyone is dumb enough to want a socialist revolution.

Marx was so naive, it's pretty funny nothing he predicted came true.

Ip = electronics. Few real resources. Peak everything

>Government regulations, teachers unions and socialism (doctors decree/hippocratic oath).
>socialism (doctors decree/hippocratic oath).

The internet is full of information. It's helped me immensely with my studies.

END THE FED

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

DO IT

NOW

MAKE PRICES GO DOWN

MAKE WAGES GO UP

MASS PRODUCTION AND TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION

Nice complete lack of evidence.

Also, Switzerland is socialist as fuck mate.

huh, it's like if you help people pay for a thing, the prices go up or something

>2017
>still buying textbooks
Fuck that scam, just download them.

Fuck off Mises.

>Utterly BTFO
>Proven beyond all doubt that recessions were more common and worse, and lasted longer before the 1970s
>lol ignore my original argument! it was still banks!

This is why I hate arguing with Jews.

>a leaf opposed to socialized medicine
:o

sadly some textbooks are too obscure

>Switzerland
>literally siphoning the wealth of its neighbours through its opaque banking system favouring tax evasion

Just stop.

>Nice rebuttal.
Like I'm gonna lose my time arguing with a one-eyed retard.

...

>WE NEED TO KEEP PAYING FOR EDUCATION AND GUARANTEEING STUDENTS LOANS THE COSTS ARE ASTRONOMICAL!
>you read that in Bernies voice

You do realize you can just use AdBlock, and avoid sites like Amazon or Netflix
The internet is only as commercial as you make it

>switzerland
>socialist
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The reason they're actually doing decent compared to the rest of the Europe was because they didn't join the euro and are the most capitalist nation in Europe.

>PRIVATE healthcare system
>LOW taxes and LOW corporate taxes
>low amount of regulations compared with the EU
>unionism rate only 20% and the workers don't strike because their wages are high anyway
>central bank inflates very little(sometimes even allowing deflation)
>strong private property rights

You couldn't be more btfo right now.

Tuition is mostly salaries and building cost. It's not about resources (well nit directly) it's about milenials wanting to be coddled.
