Should You Have Children If You Carry A High Genetic disease Risk?

What are your symptoms?

No you should not.

My family has a high risk of mental illness - not maladaptive mental illness, but still. I will not be having children. We need to clean all the blood, no matter what.

Also, don't contribute to overpopulation, especially if they'll be sick anyway.

Just adopt OP.
I have shit genes too and it's what I plan on doing.

yes because it furthers scientific studies i would rather have someone alive with it and have data on the disorder then completly be in the dark.

I don't care what they do, but the taxpayer should not be on the hook for the bill, it's another reason why I don't support universal healthcare.

UC isn't that bad. Go for it my man.

No. I think sterilization of people who carry genetic disorders should be underway.

This is caused from eating modern dwarf what. Cut gluten from your diet for 1 month and see if you feel any improvement. Coffee can unfortunately mimic the protein-parts in the gluten-protein (I´m not a scientist, might be using wrong terms here) which will cause similar problems.

Why? Because modern dwarf wheat / modern gluten are toxins. Your immune system rages and attacks them. Some bind to your gut vilii or whatever and then your immune system wrecks these causing nutrient uptake issues. For some the immune system will attack TSH (thyroid stuff, hormone regulation, insulin and blood sugar etc) to fuck shit up.

Do you have any symptoms of an over or underactive immune system, like eczema, asthma, rashes, whatever?

Also were you born with a c-section? Because your gut bacteria is completely fucked up. You have good & bad bacteria in the gut. The bad is kept in check and made to slave for the good bacteria if it´s more numerous. And vice versa. Get probiotics, some gut bact supplements, eat fresher rawer foods and less processed, but most importantly eat FERMENTED foods.

Your "genetic deficiency" in this case is an immune system which reacts to literal poison in your body. And/or being born with a weak gut biome which is very common in todays sick world. Final solution is to get a poop transplant where they put somebody elses feces into your gut which has helped some people a lot. In ancient China they used to make "yellow soup" which was basically shit-soup to help your gut bacteria rebalance.

>le gluten bad maymay

Don't get health tips from reddit.

No, I have NF and I would not want to pass that on.

I have UC too. Never shown up in any of my family members. Now healthy Americans get higher health insurance costs to pay for my treatment

No, you should racemix. It's the only way to avoid rare genetic regressive diseases and breed a supreme gentleman.

I have Gilbert's Syndrome. Thank God it's a recessive trait cause god knows I wouldn't want my kids to be jaundiced lanky fucks like me.

Sorry but you are an idiot. Biblical wheat and modern wheat are not the same. Plus modern wheat products (wheat is main culprit, others will be just as bad when body has learned to hate the gluten protein as a whole) are processed into becoming blood sugar wrecking sugar-wannabes.

Ancient gluten had like 8 chromosomes, modern has 32 or 16, just check it out yourself if you wish to lose weight & live a healthier life. Cutting gluten from your diet will immediately reduce sugar intake and fast-carb intake as well which are huge bonuses. Fuck off with your Big Food shilling monsanto-cuck.

And NO I do not promote gluten-free bullshit, it´s all fast carbs + has some molecules from the carbs which the immune system might have linked to anyway. Fuck all that shit eat meat, eggs, mushrooms, fruits and vegs, healthy fresh food as much as you can. Nuts and seeds and shit.

UC is a genetic disease tho

Yes, because illnesses can be cured in the future and its human right to be free and pass on the genes. Perhaps you have a disese but maybe you have some advantageous gene that is worth spreading.

desu, almost no one should have children. And the people who should have children should have TONS of children.

>Son, you're going to have this painful disease when you get older
>Why?
>Because I couldn't stop fucking

>That bad
Nigger you can fucking die from it if you aren't in a good hospital in time.
All I've ever wanted was to be a father, I'm not putting my children through that though.
>tfw your purpose is taken away
>t.colitis patient

The less tripfags with kids the better

Always have had an over reactive immune system especially when it comes to inflammation, I remember one time my dog scratched me in the face and it didn't even break skin but was swollen all day long.

who told you that, a (((doctor)))?

well of course they could never be wrong, they have an expensive piece of paper saying they CANT POSSIBLY be wrong!

I highly doubt I'll ever have kids. But then I don't want them to have to go through a lot of the things I went through and still go through with regards to things like my issues with anxiety. I wouldn't wish it on anybody even people I don't like.

to be fair it takes weeks to die from colitis even if you know youre really sick, theres always time.

UC is actually more commonly found in jews.

Thats crohns fuck face highest rates of uc are in denmark
t. danish man with uc

It applies to Crohns and UC. Do they have google in Denmark?

My family has a history of Huntingdon's Disease on my mum's side. There is a 50/50 chance of me having it. Same goes for my sister so statistically one of us is going to have it. I'm only going to get tested if I'm going to have children. My girlfriend knows this. Then we'd decide if it's worth the risk.

If I had kids anyway it's up to them to decide whether they want to get tested or not at age 18.

HD was one of the conditions where the Nazis recommended sterilisation. I would not have been born.

Depends.

I got Crohn's disease. Prevailence in the general population is 0.1% or 100 to 150 people within 100,000 people.

If both parents have Crohn's disease, the chance of the kid developing Crohn's is high - around 25%. With one parent, the chance is up to 5% and thus 30-40 times higher than in the general population.

Having said that, I do not have kids. Tell me, should I not have kids? I am white, hard working, well educated, Christian and got money. Personally, I would not have kids with a woman who has herself got an inflammatory bowel disease, but if she does not, should the 5% chance my kid has Crohn's (which is merely a chronic disease, that can be managed) mean no kids for me?

abloo abloo faggot it's from a risk thread.
That's true. The disease is still torment to knowingly put your child through it. So much pain. So much potential for a literally shitty incontinent life. So much colon cancer risk. All of the complications. Holy fuck the mountains of kidney stones.

I would have nothing to promise him but hardship. Either a little or a lot.

All thanks to Norman "Savior of a billion lives" Borlaug

>oy veeeeey, the ovah pop you lay shun
This kike's post I'm quoting should give you all the information you need to do the opposite of what (((they))) say

My best friend's family has hereditary asthma and headaches. He inherited the headaches and his sister and her son the asthma (at least the kid is blonde and blue eyed). The headaches are pretty much daily and he's had them his entire life. I am very glad I don't have any genetic diseases. They look like they'd be horrible.

You should look at the rates of genetic and other diseases.

For fucks sake autism is almost plague level.

>UC is a genetic disease tho
Genetic disposition PLUS environmental factors. It is not clear how the genetics work for IBD work generally, by the way.

Thats my question fellow ibd'er . What are your symptoms?

((((genetic))))

P.S. I think a smoker is much more unresponsible in having a kid. And there is a shitton of people having kids who have smoked before being prego or even continue smoking while being prego.

Would be nice to know why human immune systems are going fuck nuts.

Leaky Gut
IBS
UC
Celiac

All of these are caused by what the other user said + modern foods notably wheat, in some cases lactose or casein (milk stuff). HOWEVER they are heavily linked to the state of your immune system and of course this is affected by genes. But also by your mothers habits during and before pregnancy, your form of birth, if you eat any fermented foods (human used to eat them since forever, only now we basically stopped in the west).

Not saying gluten is all the bad, if you had a nice and calm, functioning immune system you could probably eat this modern poison a few times a week and not suffer bad consequences, just like you can with sugar (which is literally a slow poison, meaning a little is fine but over time it degrades your body - and the brain as well).

Didn´t mean to sound like a jacktrap but this topic is so important and people act like modern food is a-ok.

You should have to jump through tons of genetic and medical counseling, have to pay the state, have to perform checkups, and ultimately have to go through red tape, and have something that denotes that you have a serious inheritable genetic problem on your ID.

However you could be allowed to have children should you go through all of this. Also during this whole process adoption should be pushed as the better alternative. Guilt trip whoever it is, as adoption is the better alternative in this scenario.

Yeah I get that the doctors are basically saying "we have no idea why it occurs so we are calling it genetic for now"

>be me
>21 yrs old
>have intervertebral hernia
>have overall crappy joints
>have mitral prolapse
>still fucking have ADHD in your age
Cheer up, mate

>Thats my question fellow ibd'er . What are your symptoms?

Had Crohn's for 18 years. It is limited to the terminal ileum, essentially 25-30cm. Managed with aza - Americans would probably say "why not humira or remicade etc." - aza works for me. Aza, sport and a somewhat applicable diet.

It is a hard question and I have already decided for myself that if I marry at some point I want to have kids. But as said before, if my wife would also have an IBD, I would be very hard pressed to have kids given the 25% chance of the kid inheriting the IBD in that case. A 5% chance I think is alright.

My family has virtually no cases of heart disease or cancer - not my parents, grand parents or great grandparents or uncles, cousins etc. So a 5% IBD and 0% cancer and heart disease chance isn't that bad.

>In 1930s America this was a no brainer question

It is genetic, just not 100% genetic. It is a "genetic disposition" and environmental factors.

How bad is your uc to actually require treatment? I got diagnosed like 5 years ago and they prescribed these suppositories. After the 1st prescription ran out I never bothered to get more because shoving pills up your butt is gay and occasional bouts of explosive bloodshit aren't that hard to deal with.

Yeah so try your best if you have the motivation to check your gut biome health, I don´t even know how to be frank. I know they can check the health of the gut vilii but they will only diagnose their fake-label stuff if the damage is quite severe already. Your thyroid has a shit-ton to do with the immune system and that is easier to check. Ask the doc for a recommendation to an endicronologist to check ALL your antibodies towards gluten, this means the full gluten-spectrum test. Plus antibodies towards your thyroid including all the different stuff it produces, I remember only 3 of them all named TSH1,2,3.

Of course in burgerland this will be too expensive so best you can do it start eating more fermented stuff, more raw fresh and healthy, more grass-fed meat (instead of corn or wheat fed). And good luck.

Dude they have no idea what gene(s) are causing it or if they are really causing it at all

Kek, I have uc aswell, sure like my cortisone

If I don't get treatment then I'm shitting 8 times a day minimum. Can't sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time because I gotta wake up to shit

Do
not
take humira
And remicade fucking sucks.
t. lost my entire large intestine due to necrosis. Diagnosed with crohns but went into remission through the surgery, now believed to be a weird form of UC. I was a guinea pig for a while, never once did any medication work.
Had a whole bunch of experimental procedures done too.

UC is just one of the diseases caused by gut bacteria (literally main hub of immune system) fuckups and modern diets. Diabetes, brain inflammation (encipholatis or smth MAN I am forgetting all the big words today), literally obesity (yes yes calories in etc but no, if toxins come into body that it can´t expulge or transmute properly it will try to protect itself by coating them in fat). Also, interestingly, autism-spectrum-disorders like ADHD and Autism.

You really think the extreme rise of ADHD and Autism diagnosises are all bullshit / due to new ways of finding or labeling shit? It´s the food & c-sections + health of the mothers.

I'm not a doctor so I won't pretend to be one. I'm just telling you what my doctor tells me.

Can confirm humira and Remy fucking blow. If you've got UC just run through that surgery gauntlet, get the j-pouch.

t. Uc fag

Fuck that Remicade works good enough. I want to keep my organs

Look of course people will be saved from eating slow toxins like sugar, modern wheat etc. Or even low nutrient belly fillup shit like white rice.

The problem is he saved people so they could overpopulate (compared not to area or potential but to actual present infrastructure & general state of their countries) and fuckup their own places and are now coming here.

More like Norman "Couden-Kal is my bro" Borlaug.

Hey I also lost my large intestine. Was also a bit of a guinea pig as I wouldn't respond to anything. Living decently now (but socially it's a bit of a struggle). Best of luck, bud.

UC/Crohn's don't have a strong established genetic link, according to (((science))), so I won't worry too much about passing it to children.

I dread the day I have to get a colostomy bag again.

I might honestly just shoot myself. I mean the quality of life is shit. Everything is just shit shit shit

So far so good though.

Sucks to be you user. I offer a small user moose sympathy. Chronic shit sucks as and ADHD does not make managing it easier.
But hey at least Sup Forums thinks ADHD (PFC damage / dopamine regulation problems) is fake and gay. And executive functioning is not relevant, unless talking about race of course.

This, anything to keep my fucking organs i was meant to have, whats a jpouch like tho how many times a day do you go?

Autism and ADHD rose only because doctors diagnose it more.

Think of it in the 50's, ADHD kids were just hyper and aspergers were just weird people, possibly communists.

Age of mothers does play a role. If there is a link to food you will never be able to find it because there are no control groups

No, you shouldn't, but that doesn't mean we can't make them not.

Same to you, could you at least get the j-pouch surgery?

Wasn't worth it for me. At that point my colon already said "fuck you I'm out".

And given the side effects of Remicade when taken for years I'm glad I got my surgeries done.

Wow I must be pretty lucky. I think my all time highest record is 7. And I've never had sleep issues. Worst case is I have to poop first thing when I wake up.

Thanks for making me feel better about myself ucbro.

This is so sad to read and see everyday plus in prophetic masterpieces such as Idiocracy. Think I read that humanity as a whole is getting dumber as well. Good times ahead indeed.

If it's your only option then you gotta take it but I'm not cutting out my colon until I have to

But I used to shit 5-7 times a day (not now as im studying = no food money). Plus got extreme heat regulation problems (too warm constantly, will overheat when trying to cool down bedroom just a few degrees too much) and drink about 10 litres of water each day. Maybe I should check this shit.

My quality of life went from shit (hue) to fantastic. And I go about 7 times a day, roughly. Metamucil is handy.

being black is a spot on symtom of diesease

Seconded. Overpopulation is an exclusively black and brown issue, whites need to breed more.

Fair enough, but I'm just giving a warning to another sufferer. Trust me, losing your colon isn't the end.

Doctors themselves admit they know shit-all about chronic gut disorders. And UC is a gut disorder gone too far IMHO.

Still I´d like to note im only writing out a lot of stuff not because I 100% believe I know the full truth but mostly to make people who might recognize themselves, their symptoms or stuff, to at least TRY for a month to cut all gluten, maybe even all sugar. I wish health for my fellow anons I readily admit this faggoty wish of mine.

How many times do you shit? My average is 3-4
1 on good days
That's the thing son, you lose your large intestine. But you keep the small.
The end of the small is folded into itself to give you a little pouch to store shit. Not nearly as effective as the large intestine, but it helps return normalcy. They then cut a hole in the bottom and attach it to the anus, effectively getting you hooked back up.
The entire procedure take 2-3 surgeries and quite some healing time.

Same with me and mental health. I've got a mood disorder following a blow to the head. Thing is allegedly this is THE most heritable mental illness

Yeah but like you said in another post you are still shitting 7 times a day. I know it's more controlled and just overall better than the worst moments of having UC but pooping 7 times a day ain't normal

I have no real evidence to back me up (possibly there is SOME decently valid in one of my bookmarks but no patience to look it up) but I do not believe this.

I like the theory about emasculating men, punishing children for being children etc, I love conspiracy theories and this sounds very reasonable. However I do believe the rise of ADHD is directly linked to what I mentioned above. Immune system, c-sections, modern foods causing literal chronic inflammation of your brain etc. Plus of course dopamine destroying internet & porn, which don´t cause actual ADHD but definately the same symptoms for a diagnosis.

nah i think its easier to have your guts cut out, soda and bread are simply too important to the average nu-males diet.

Its got very high heritability. But, its one of those weird polygenetic-enviromental diseases

You are gonna lose your anal virginity to a colonoscopy scope

Oh God, that fucking snake fail jump right at the very end. Fukken saveddddd, also all hail das mighty lizdude

don't get back surgery for it because your dick will stop working as they cut out the muscle to relieve pressure on your spine

Herniated disc surgery is a last resort as it will give you loss of feeling/function to lower parts of your body

Manlets check your self for Celiac. 145 my top weight till I found out about Celiac. Now 180 after dropping down from 209. Get Fucking Tested!

Since so many have IBD here
How do you all feel about obamacare being gone?

I work as a medical intern. You have no idea how many man asses I have been in....

About 7. 5 on a good day. Really doesn't bother me.

Oh believe me, I thought the same. Like anything you get used to it. The only time it becomes inconvenient is on, say, long road trips. But it sure as fuck beats a colostomy bag. I can finally swim at the beach again.

I agree that it doesn't make sense for insurance to cover a pre-existing condition but I also will be in debt 5ever trying to pay for the treatment without insurance

You're probably the 5-10% of people on it I feel sorry for. Lets hope the Donald has something reasonable in store

what is the consistency of shit like with a jpouch?

It was unsettling, remember? Trying to hold out for as long as you can to remain whole? Doctors telling you their going to remove a major organ and it's 'not that big of a deal'?
Hard line to cross.
Best of luck user.
Also can effectively cure you of UC. However if you can find a way to put it into remission with medication go for it.

Those who receive serious treatments such as iv drugs like remicade &humira should read up on long term use of the drugs and common side effects.

ALWAYS watch your diet.

If you have no choice, surgery isn't the worst. It's a hill, but not a mountain.

3 years ago I was diagnosed with that.
The doctor told me i was to suffer frm that for ...ever.

Good thing something came along that change my life. Not easy living with that pain.

You are listing correlations but you have no evidence its the actual cause other than your own ass in other words.

Prove anything stated about gluten and modern wheat beinbg bad and causing these issues with our immune systems and not the fact people with issues have an easier surviving into adult hood thanks to modern medicine making natural selection a joke.

wtf is that leaf how did you change it?

So bi-polar? So pre-frontal cortex brain damage? That is so tough user.

someone enlighten me on what Obamacare and uc means

Started off at 18 over 40k in the hole.
Don't know what to do or think. I would like help, but at the same times I am no one's responsibility but my own. It's a decision we have to make as a society, how our healthcare system works.
Sorry 4 hairy asshole and hemorrhoids
anywhere between a turd and creamy diarrhea
It's a much shorter trip for food. So what you put in & timing it determines it.
I don't really think twice about it. If I don't have many chances to eat in a day then I wont drink a gallon of water and three cups of coffee.

All that stupid doctor told me, was that pain will go and come back. Almost for a year I used cry like a baby i event started to look for options (operations to your intestines etc).

By pure coincidence, at the time, I met a friend that use to be overweight. He told me about that diet no carbs. I did not really know about but wanting to lose a few pounds I said let me try it. I swear that after 4 months, I was so concerned about the pound that I lost, that I had forgotten about my disease. Never came back again, even after I stopped the no carbs...

Before I type my blog, find a reputable gastro doc, there are a lot of blowjob hacks out there that will fuck you up more than do any good with colitis, especially if they start recommending things like remicade, entyvio and humira, just make sure your docs know what they're doing or get a 2nd or 3rd opinion from other gastro docs. Also before you start any of those 3 meds, make FUCKIN SURE YOU DO NOT have any infections!!! MAKE THEM run every god damn test they can for infections! You don't want to start taking those meds and have something like c. diff going in your gut, so again, make sure they take piss stool and blood samples and look for any type of infection in you if you ever need to start those drugs!
I have it, don't get flare ups attacks anymore, very rarely, every 18months I'll be out of it for only 3 or 4 days, doc thinks I'm some type of freak because I cut all meds too. Here's what I do, take a multi-vitamin, probiotic, fishoil, magnesium and 12mg of astaxanthin almost daily. I've been good for 5yrs now, this shit runs in my family hardcore, we're talking every 1st and 2nd cousin on my mom's side has it, some severe others like me not so severe. They tried to put me on remicade, humira and entyvio, I figured fuck that shit, time to play doctor on myself and did research. My intestine last chekup and short colonoscopy was night and day, looked like someone who responded to remicade and cleared up their colitis. Also, for those of you diagnosed with colitis, you can join 23andme for free, yes, give them your DNA, doing a study on colitis and they need your dna, for free.
