The flight that saved Britain.

>go to get cereal
>box is empty
>impossible
>last night I opened a new box
>go find the other 2 boxes
>both unopened

I think I hallucinated myself eating a bowl of cereal.

So tell me lads. Where should I emigrate to?

Found a better one
Includes a lovely bit of Diana worship too

Brexit will make the London centric nature of the UK immeasurably worse.

Reasoning - (just a couple - there are many more)

1. The same right wing Tories living in London will remain in change - but the regions will now be without the ability of the regions to apply for EU regional development funds.

2. The UK's regions will be relatively more deprived of the ability to freely trade with our biggest market - Europe - with no substitute markets for many decades. The reason for the disparity is that most of the UK's regional activity is in physical good whereas London's is in services. But physical goods will be more adversely hit by exiting from the customs union than services.

Brexit will do most harm to the regions especially the North and the poorer more remote regions of the UK. We don't need to leave the EU to decentralise Britain. Very much the opposite in fact. For the last few decades the EU has been the only government body attempting to improve the north of England, while Westminster did nothing.

Brexit is in reality a suicide note from the poor.

It is the duty of everyone to prevent this idiocy.

Everyone must work to stop May's deliberate destruction of the UK's poor. Brexit must be dumped.

Newport, Wales.

Here is your proof, this is me when I thought that there was a remote possibility brexit would work.

It's a shame the 2007 and 2011 Scottish elections are documented so poorly online. They're a wonderful dose of schadenfreude.

ONE MORE DRINK

>tfw no UK-USSR alliance
The relationship couldn't possibly have been more abusive than the one with the yanks, however unseemly an alliance of imperialist and communist may have been.

>That crowned worm going through the British heart

lel

However I do wish America had built one of these contraptions.

Didn't Enoch Powell actually prefer Soviet domination of Europe to American domination?

I wouldn't know, off the top of my head.

The Soviets sure could be artsy in their latter days. ("Evolution?")

>corbyn's already literally who front bench all planning to resign

>I'll have those pakis voting Labour for the next 200 years

...

'Hoo's Rachel?

Yeah it seems to be true. Enoch considered Britain and Russia naturally allies, and, as I'm sure most people here know, he was firmly anti-American. He maintained that view regardless of the ideology of the USSR.

VERY IMPORTANT POLL

UNCLE ALBERT OR GRANDAD

strawpoll.me/12200949

It's a shame Russia's in such a weird place at the moment. I think if they were more explicitly a "great power" instead of just a "bad guy" the world would be a more interesting place.

The USSR gave them a kind of overarching narrative. It's a shame that's gone. For all the impracticalities of their system, it gave them a story.

>"impracticalities"

D E S I G N A T E D

I'm not sure if you're denying the impracticality of central planning here.

They should've become a less evil china that kept all the red flag stuff while becoming a vaguely protectionist export factory.

>Trump is banning muslim countries from entry!
>Still allows Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

I WANT A CANARYYYY

>being so blue pilled you believe the zionist neo-cold war rhetoric than Russia is the 'bad guy'.

No wars in those countries you retard

They were both good in their own ways. Impossible choice really.

It's their "role" in the present story, independent of whether that's who they really are.

Because we want them to be. We need them to be. We can't escape the cold-war mindset ourselves.

20 years ago today. Who is that young bedlamite with silly dreams? Get him to an alienist. He may as well give up - they'll never come to fruition.

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27056004

I feel like Grandad added more substance to the series and was more than a comic character than Uncle Albert was.

>Grandad: The politicians, the politicians and the military men used to con you. They had little lads, youngsters believing that their country really did need them! D'you know, they used to have little lads of 14 pretending they was 18 just so they could fight for their King and country!
>Del: What, and they accepted the little sprogs?
>Grandad: More often than not...My brother George lied about his age!
>Rodney: Pretended he was 18?
>Grandad: No, he was 18, he pretended he was 14, they saw through it though. I think it was the moustache.

On June 12, 1972, American Airlines Flight 96, a relatively new McDonnell Douglas DC-10, was severely damaged after losing its aft cargo door while flying over Windsor, Ontario while enroute to Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The pilots very nearly lost control of the trijet, but they were able to successfully land the aircraft safely using differential throttling to control glide angle...

The report included the following:
"The potential for long term Convair liability has been causing me increasing concern for several reasons… The fundamental safety of the cargo door latching system has been progressively degraded since the program began in 1968... The airplane demonstrated an inherent susceptibility to catastrophic failure when exposed to explosive decompression of the cargo compartment in 1970 ground tests".

"Since Murphy's Law being what it is, cargo doors will come open sometime during the twenty-plus years of use ahead for the DC-10... I would expect this to usually result in the loss of the aircraft".

>Management believed that his proposed changes would be costly to implement, and there was some debate about who would end up paying for them, Convair or McDonnell Douglas. Applegate's suggestions to upgrade the door, and especially the cabin floor, would have required the aircraft to be grounded, an expensive proposition. Instead, a set of minor changes were made, intended to ensure that the latches were properly seated and the locking handle could not be operated if they weren't.

Applegate never 'blew the whistle', and in 1974 Turkish Airlines Flight 981 crashed on the outskirts of Paris killing all 346 people on board. It was later ascertained that the crash was due to the same technical fault Applegate had foreseen two years prior. The changes after Flight 96 had not been made to this aircraft, in spite of the service logs indicating that they had.

Muh
Arket

(Evil statists later mandated that the aircraft be modified. Bad End.)

Corbyn has reinstated the three-line whip. I think he'll revoke it (again) though:

>Tulip Siddiq – Tells Sky Newsshe’ll resign if a three line whip is imposed.
>Clive Lewis – Guardian reports he has said hewill vote against.
>Cat Smith – Sky News say she is considering resigning.
>Jo Stevens – Ditto.
>Dawn Butler – Has pledged to vote against.
>Catherine West – Has vowed“I will vote against Brexit in parliament”.
>Daniel Zeichner – Says he will vote in line with his Remain constituency.
>Thangam Debboniare – Said she would vote against, now crowd-sourcing.

I need to renew my passport. When are we getting the blue ones? Should I wait?

No but thats where all the terrorists come from

>They promised us homes fit for heroes, we got heroes fit for homes.

True- He did have more of a mysterious back story that we only got snippets of like gun running during the Spanish civil war and trying to join the Foreign Legion.

Uncle Albert could be a little two dimensional at times given how much we know about his naval back story.

He did have his moments though like when he went missing and was found down by the old docks where the old warehouses had been turned into expensive flats.

I'm also wondering about this. I need to renew my driving licence next month.

When can I get one with no EU flag?

>Corbyn

DO YOU FEEL IN CHARGE?

We are the Bog.
We am the beginning. The end. The one who is many. I am the Bog.
Lower your immune systems and surrender your bodies to our Bogdabots. You will be assimilated.
Human! We used to be exactly like them. Flawed. Weak. Organic. But we evolved to include the synthetic. Now we use both to attain perfection. Your goal should be the same as ours.
You are an imperfect being, created by an imperfect being. Finding you weakness is only a matter of time.

Human sentiment. Compassion, guilt, empathy - they're irrelevant.

Prepare to be assimilated.

>Rodney: You mean you were gun-running in the middle of a civil war?
>Grandad: Well that's the best time to do it Rodney, supply and demand!

Can we officially say based Corbyn for imposing the three line whip on article 50 vote?

Politics was never meant to be this interesting lads...

Fucking hell.

Wait for the blue ones lad. That's what I'm doing. I've never held a passport ever, but I would gladly hold a blue one without 'European Union' emblazoned across the top.

I also wonder what will happen to photocard driving licenses since they have the flag in the corner. I would gladly pay for a new one that has the UK coat of arms instead.

I hope you've all taken the EU cuck plates off your cars and replaced them with good British ones.

>You was done for jaywalking ya soppy old git!

I have a feeling this satire but that the more credulous tories in here actually believe this is real, and probably support the suggested policies.

I want to replace mine with the county flag. Apparently it's not legal though.

What's wrong with them?

Does the EU not deal with Turkey, then?

>driving with an eu cuckstamp on your car
Lots of people around here have them covered, the police won't do shit.

What's illegal and what will get you pulled over are very different.

I see people with illegal plates all the time ignored by police cars right behind them.

Man Cave

What is brit/pol/'s newspaper of choice? My family has always got the Guardian, but I think I might be more of a Telegraph chap desu.

It's not illegal to cover the EU flag on your plate.

You can have plates made up without it like I did.

You can also display the union flag, the england flag, the welsh flag, the NI flag or the Scottish flag in it's place.

My family reads the sun

Sunday sport or bust.

THE EXPRESS

ONLY ONE THAT TELLS THE TROOF

What do you mean "no" UK-USSR alliance? We conquered half of Europe for them.

Mines run out soon but surely the new passports won't come into circulation until we are officially out to so in 2years time..

The only flags allowed are either EU, UK or country specific. I'll get round to covering it up someday.

My point being was that I found a Devon sticker to cover the EU flag with, but it's not legal apparently.

It's a real article from 1997 m8. 20 years ago yesterday. The Conservatives were desperately behind Labour in the polls and were looking for policies to shore up their vote. They came up with back to basics and the cones hotline.
