Prove you are - then questions. I ain't asking question to some LARPer.

Not sure how you want me to prove it? Promise I'm not larping, with an oath to Kek.

Became a teacher in the mid 2000s, now work at one of the top performing schools in our nation.

How many Patels are in your classes?

What do people think of American English? How well taught is the revolutionary war? What are the standard languages you can learn?

>Link, it's been 7 years. Don't be alarmed.

Proof or GTFO
We've had so many threads about people claiming to be a top employee which turned out to be bullshit

private school? in london? all boys?

I currently teach around 100 unique students across a number of classes.

2 Muslims total. One highly talented (is en route to becoming a doctor), one less so,

Do you spend more time memorizing the koran or studying sharia?

Why do you create people whom are unfit for society?

How much rape occurs? srs

American English - well I don't teach literature but all great writers are respected, including U.S.

Standard languages: German, French, but students from a foreign background are put into individual exams for their own native language (which is cheating as they gain top grades for university entrance and the elite universities value languages - major flaw in the system)

The exam system doesn't promote character and virtue. Parents don't promote character and virtue. Many teachers are not interested in promoting character and virtue (or don't know how to).

What are the fees? How many shitty foreign princes? Worst nationality to teach?

And post some proof. Hand + stamp + some textbooks or something.

Nope!

How common are the phrases "Cor blimey," "oy guvnah," and "what's all this then?"

How many times are you required to pray per day?

I'm not saying I'm a "top employee". I'm a teacher and I just happen to work at a top school.

I have less than 1 years private sector experience.

Zero!

Not very! :)

I don't use textbooks. What is a stamp? We don't teach foreign princes. We are academically elite - in other words, entrance just for the brightest.

Not a teacher but I wasn't taught a damn thing about the American Revolution or Civil War. When it comes to American history we were only taught about the Great Depression, Prohibition and your role in World War II.

>How well taught is the revolutionary war?

It may be a big thing to you, but it's literally naught to us. Most people haven't even heard of it.

Sorry, I don't understand?

...

I want to laugh at that, but I genuinely have no idea what it is (and i've perused this board for a little while now).

I need to give a gift to a professor at the Royal Vetenary college. I don't know a damm thing about bong culture or laws.

I was thinking about a vintage 1911 pistol or a k-bar from WW2, but I suspect that shit won't fly.

>never heard of the revolution
ahmed pls

It's really a non-entity in the UK, probably because the height of the Empire followed it for a full century after the Napoleonic Wars.

What is the least controversial thing you could say in a classroom that would get yourself fired or reprimanded?

Do you ever have to bite your tongue?

I am a lecturer (not elite) and a student said xe is non-binary transmasculine. I so wanted to say something. Same when I gabe the lecture on IQ, there was so much I wanted to say but didn't dare.

Do you teach the "elites" about occult principles?

Do you teach them that royals engaging in cannibalism is normal?

What do you think of the Scottish education system? I experience it and it's a fucking mess, I don't even know what the equivelants are elsewhere.

Write him a thank you letter for everything Great Britain has done for that shithole USA

Least controversial thing to get myself fired. I think if I questioned gay marriage I'd be in trouble. If I questioned the marital relations of Mohammed. If I suggested that some students receive an unfair advantage in exams via the conditions they receive...

Lots of things could get me fired. I am a bit of a maverick and say some politically incorrect things -- but the students like it (especially the Y13s) and it is all taken in good jest.

Recently I upset a student by suggesting tattoos and piercings were not a particularly wise life choice.

Most of the students will agree, or laugh along, but some are your archetypal snowflakes.

You're literally fucking lying unless you post proof.

Nope, we teach them to think... critically. And to work hard. They genuinely don't care about religion or spirituality and seem more interested in drinking coffee, snap chatting, and their own melodramatic relationships.

I don't know much about it. I do recommend that our students look at Edinburgh, St. Andrews and Glasgow universities, however, as they are by all accounts excellent.

Not a bad idea. But I have no idea what you mean. What has GB done again?

Think as you wish, but any knowledge that I read or use Sup Forums would be a bad move career wise. :)

...Right

We all know what you so called "elites" engage in. Bunch of genetically deformed rich faggots with low IQ's of 110 think they can engage in cannibalism for eternity and get away with it.

A reckoning is due.

Welshfag here, they should both be deported or executed.

>british intellectuals

Which part of "academically elite" do you not understand? And as for me, I am from a normal background, on a not very impressive salary.

At what age do your students take A levels

Dragon or Eton?

Is it true that you guys tell time by how many bongs the Big Ben rings?

Has their been an influx of rich foreign students, and what's your measure of each type of foreigner?

How common is Sup Forums use? Is it growing?

Depends. Our brightest and best might wrack up 5/6 A-levels and if their parents are on the ball, they'll be simply waiting around finishing off a few A-levels before they head off to Oxford or Cambridge a year or two early.

Most take them from 16-18 and I'd recommend that as the ones that go early are often social oddballs who need to go through the socialisation process if they are to actually make friends/find a wife while at university.

My best student of all time was a maths genius who was offered an unconditional by Cambridge. I (tried to) taught him and he was so independent and focused that he simply read the year course in a one night sitting. And thus, spent about 24 hours doing what other students spend 9 months working on.

Academically, we outperform Eton in the same way the U.S. Army could destroy Belgium.

They are an academic school but they don't accept students in the same manner as we do (purely academic results).

No idea. Never heard it mentioned. Would shut it down if it was mentioned in my class.

Zelda ocarina of time its one of the 7 wise guys.

no non-private school beats eton according to the league tables.

Interesting. Why has the A level difficulty declined? Studying A levels is a joke. The math modules especially. You said you teach your students to critically think but other than STEP and advanced extension awards you can score A* since exercises don't change from year to year. How do you justify the ridiculous prices you charge.

Teach me the context of the reference! No idea :)

kys you frauding faggot

On what measure?

>americuck hernanzdez

I repeat, on what measure?

Oi!

We don't set prices. Exam boards do.
We don't set exams. Exam boards do.

Critical thinking... I'm not a maths teacher.

Nope! Students from a Chinese background are very focused. Most of our Middle Eastern students have doctor parents and again, are very focused.

Many niggers?

The measure is in the pic you dumb fuck

There is in higher education. From where i come from most people finish their A levels by 16 while doing the local curriculum. I was astonished to see how bad the education system is outside of private school especially when the A-levels can be studied systematically

Helping the enemies of your (assumed) race and nation

>should be executed for treason

A Level Passes Grade A* and A

Who was a more promising student--Harry Potter or Ron Weasley?
Did Ron really deserve to be Head Boy, or was that just "muh legacy?"
Do profs really serve students cake and tea, like in Goodbye Mr. Chips?
Do houses still have catamonts? WTF?

I am not referring to the price of the exam but rather the cost of tuition. i paid like 100 euros a month for my chemistry A level in tuition and the guy taught it in one year. If instead i had come to london to do my A levels it would cost me 9k per A level at a so called elite school

>I was astonished to see how bad the education system is outside of private school especially when the A-levels can be studied systematically

In my school, it was merely a containment facility, and that wasn't even a bad school, just the lower sets.

This guy is a sub teacher, he talks about how terrible it is.

>teacher at top performing British school
>swearing oaths to Kek

We really are he Jews now aren't we

You can tell he's a real teacher by the shitty way in which he tries to socialize with "us"

Er... reality...

etoncollege.com/userfiles/files/Final Summer A2 Statistics.pdf

Those 31 B to D grades in Maths tell a different story don't they?

Put it bluntly, I would be sacked for that level of underperformance by the students.

Chasing that pay cheque I guess!

I think however thats its not horrible just because people don't care. It is horrible on purpose. As if they don't want the public to be educated.

No euclidian geometry set theory or any sort of real mathematics including notation and forms of arguments.

You have no engineering classes to teach kids basic circuits.

No world history no poetry no mythology.

And yet you have some of the best universities of the world.

I agree. You could do the A-level for the price of the exam entry. If you just go to the library, read, work hard, you'll be a lot better off (financially).
The social side might be a bit dry though!

Primary school here
Can definitely confirm that they're using the pretence of stiffening up the curriculum to dumb everyone down and rob critical thinking enhancing subjects from the timetable

Still recovering from your redpill on how the top schools cook the stats?

Sounds like your school has an 11+-esque entrance exam like my old secondary school. Am I wrong?

I am arguing the opposite. You don't need to work hard. There is a whole business around getting students into UK higher education ( top universities ) at the price of your weekly grocery bill.

Don't plan on having any descendants then

Hope that car and overpriced shoe box was worth it

Depends on your talent. A*A*A* is not easy for even a v. good student. Maybe you are just naturally gifted.

Is there hope for Oxford returning their dictionary to the task of preserving the English standard rather than bogging itself down with fad contemporary descriptive English and ideological logomachy?

The 2 tables posted seem consistent. What's your point?

But we are not. Its a cultural thing. In fact my country scores lower than Britain on the IQ scale. How can a country with a population of 700k have a higher representation in your top universities than locals

>Eton has more students taking finals in Religious Studies than Physics.
>You expect me to take that measure seriously.

Measure them on the facilitating subjects identified here: russellgroup.ac.uk/for-students/school-and-college-in-the-uk/subject-choices-at-school-and-college/

I finished my uni computer science course last year. I was considering doing an A level course for Mathematics and Statistics. Anyone know how this works since I'm obviously out of school. I just thought it'd be cool to be able to put an A on my CV for A levels Maths. Is it still recognized by employers as a valuable qualification, even if I sat it after school?

How exactly does it work? I was looking at this website
cloudlearn.co.uk/productinfo?product=Online-A-Level-Maths-and-Statistics-Course&ProductID=119&gclid=CJ7A_c3a4NECFWYq0wodrlkFBA#pDataTabs11
What exactly happens? I review the online material in my spare time and then when the exam dates come round just turn up to the exams? I have no other obligations to fulfill? Just revise, turn up to the exam and that's it?

Solve all the past papers. The type of exercises never change just the numbers. Thats why they introduced the A*. They are decreased the intellectual effort and grade you based on calculation errors.

Do I even have to pay one of those websites the £300? So I can just download the past papers, ensure I know how to answer every type of question, then turn up to the exam? Where / how can I book myself into an exam center? Or is it mandatory that I sign up for some sort of online course?

Short answer is NO! Find a school that will take you as an 'external candidate' (none of the high flyers will because they'll be worried you'll mess up their own stats).

Then pick an exam board (AQA; Edexcel), and they put all their resources online for free (past papers; mark schemes) and run from there...

Might cost you £100 but remember those websites are middle men taking their cut.

You just have to find an examination centre. A college near you. You basically fill a form and select the modules you want to take.

You are not required to take a course. For past papers you can google around and find them for free.

I'm gonna believe 59 because it's most convenient. Thanks for the info, this is definitely something I'll consider. My CV looks fine anyway and I still haven't even tried applying for a job. But going for a decent grade in A level Maths has to be worth something on my CV. Will still probably go for it even if I end up with a job.

Are you doing Pure or Further Maths?

I don't know what subject I'm gonna go for yet, I just know I want a Maths A level on my CV. Which one would you suggest, which one is best, etc?

Pure maths is the easiest. Further maths is 'harder'. It depends on your background. What kind of maths have you done in your degree?

It's shit and we know it

Ever have an affair with a student?
Ever think about it?

Computer science degree, had two maths related modules. One was Mathematics and Statistics. Tbh I cant even remember the exact topics of the module, I just remember kicking ass at it and breezing through it. Got a distinction for my maths modules.

Might go for further maths since it will probably look better, are all of the exams the same? So I can just look at the previous past papers, figure out how to solve those particular questions and do the same for the new exams?

Suppose you get to make one unilateral change across the entire British education system; what do you do?
