Winston Peters general

I believe I've already had one of those, however now is an opportunity to post rare NZF memes. Pic related.

Bump

whale hunting alive and well here

It's not just the Japs then?

fucking horis

Another day, another win in the cricket.

How are my fellow nzpoltards this evening?

Today was public holiday in my part of the country, took my son to the beach. I'm making sure I give him as clichéd a kiwikid childhood as possible.

>How are my fellow nzpoltards this evening?
A public holiday where I live too (Auckland), just browsed here all day, had a few beers with the bros for lunch aaaand back to normal tomorrow. Unfortunately I don't have a son to take to the beach yet (working on that). How about everyone else?

wait it was a holiday just for auckland

Yeah bro, anniversary days differ depending on the region.

We had ours in Welly last week.

Hats off to that aussie nobody though, top knock.

Yep, the only good thing about living in what used to be Lenin Brown's socialist paradise

Every province has an anniversary day mate. Nelson had ours today same as Auckland.

I think Taranaki is next, 13th Feb. Otago is also in Feb I think.

I used to live in Marlborough, there's is the week before or after labour day, so two long weekends in a row at the end of the year is pretty sweet.

Will add this to mandatory NZG vids

I expect NZF will come 3rd in the party vote. They're on the rise, and the Greens seem to be cannibalising Labours vote.

Reminder of 2014 election party vote, 2011 in brackets:
Nats 47.0% (47.3%)
Labour 25.1% (27.5%)
Greens 10.7% (11.1%)
NZF 8.7% (6.6%)
Conservative 4.0% (2.7%)
Internet/Mana 1.4% (1.1%)
Maori 1.3% (1.4%)
ACT 0.7% (1.1%)

What is needed to fix the defence force?

They're polling at about 8% now and they usually double closer to election time. They can even manage around 15%, the greens will stay hovering around 10%, National will get early to mid 40s and Labour will get mid 20s if they're lucky, the rest are irrelevant.

Winnie is almost certain to be kingmaker, it's going to be an exciting time, fellow Kiwi/pol/acks

We need to restore the strike force and have a government that doesn't neglect it for one. Any other ideas? National has done nothing but maintain the gutting Clark gave to the NZDF

removing females from combat could be a start

Also bringing back compulsory military training would be a good start

Why are IDs even back?

They aren't in combat trades outside the TF, and even then they'll get weeded out in pre-deployment training if they are performing a light infantry role.

Navy:
-Replace the HMNZS Canterbury with a couple of actual combat worthy ships (not an interislander ferry that's been painted grey and had a LAV turret slapped on top).
-Buy more frigates and add Anti-Ship missile

Army:
-Make 1R and 2/1 RNZIR full strength.
-Make a 3/1 RNZIR out of reservists of part time contract
-Make QAMR full strength and able to man all the LAVs we have
-disband 16 field regiment (the joke of a joke army)
- double the size of the Engineers by making a 3ER or something
-Double the size of the TF

Air Force:
-Black Hawks.
-F-18s.

Well the Conservatives are gone. So ACTs vote should go up, possibly enough to get a list MP through holding the seat of Epsom.
I agree Labour will be lucky to get 26 at best. Greens won't change. They make a lot of noise and everyone fb feed is full of their shit but they will never get more than 10%. Too many farmers, rugby players and normal people in this country. The worry is maori party who are polling well in the maori seats. They have invited mana to rejoin them. The northland seat that Labours Kelvin Davis holds is key, maori wont stand a candidate and harawira will go against Davis. Which will mean harawira is almost guaranteed to return.

So yep we've gotta hope NZF get at least 13%. I'm sure this has to be Winnie's last election. He really needs to start pushing his MPs forward in the public eye. Prosser is a bit too red pilled to be the next leader, most normies will struggle with his views. I'm not sure who will be best.

Any poltards interested in doing things behind the scenes for NZF with a view to running in 2020?

>-Double the size of the TF
for this you would just have to restore it to before the cuts national made a few years ago

the fact they have barrels pointing at each other makes me nervous

>Well the Conservatives are gone. So ACTs vote should go up
people who voted conservative are hardly the same as act infact they are more likely to vote for NZF

Yup and end the amalgamations of the battalions. So much history was swept under the rug with that decision.

it fucked over so much structure especially for 2/4 battlion

New Zealand never had "compulsory military training" i am from Dunedin

First and foremost, invested in our own locally made weapons and nuclear options.

>New Zealand never had "compulsory military training"
what the hell are you talking about we had it all the time from post war to til kirk in 72

Only 5/7 got away unscathed.

Yes it did.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsory_military_training_in_New_Zealand

You can still get Distinguished Service Medals if you undertook it.

Sounds like a good plan desu

I'd suggest at least doubling the size of the defense force as a whole, and on top of reversing previous defense cuts we need to invest more, even double the defense budget. Who cares if the Islander welfare queens can't extend their waistlines if we have to cut something else to make way for it.

Also for the air force, F-18s would be a good idea (not the F-35, that project is a bloated disaster), also the Gripen could be considered. Also need to upgrade weaponry for all branches, and get some actual ships for the navy. Having as much of this as possible NZ made would be good also.

Really tend to agree. The Conservatives are dead as a force, but ACT might experience an uptick in support, I know a lot of fiscally right wing National voters considering switching their vote because they believe National has gone too far to the left. The greens have no support base outside fat Wellington lesbians so they'll always get around 10%. Maori/Mana is a worry however that's only a few seats up for contention. Labour will be in the 20s, no doubt. They're far too irrelevant, and a lot of traditional Labourites are scared off by the greens deal and quite rightly so.

>They make a lot of noise and everyone fb feed is full of their shit but they will never get more than 10%
Literally this.

I was thinking someone like Ron "go back to Korea" Mark, Prosser would be my favourite but I think he's too controversial, although they could ease people into it if he became leader of course, he'd have to tone down his approach.

>Any poltards interested in doing things behind the scenes for NZF with a view to running in 2020?
I'm already a member, I will do some election volunteer work if I have the time. Yourself?

I reckon Winnie could make it to 2020 but that would definitely be his last

I'd like to see NZ airforce invest in Hamilton made aircraft.

The age of the jet fighter is over, we'll get more use out of close support prop powered fighters. Plus we can use them to bomb the shit out of chinese poachers.

archives.govt.nz/gallery/v/Walter Nash Exhibition/New Zealand Politics and Economy/Issues and Articles/R20967221_ folio 380 _cropped_.jpg.html

Wikipedia has been edited by numerous individuals over time, and by the way, only 80k people were trained, it was a big political problem at the time because people didn't want to, and i agree you shouldn't have to because my animu and fuck you gay cunt.

>I'd like to see NZ airforce invest in Hamilton made aircraft.
National wouldn't do it because they didn't meet the requirements. Why they couldn't give them a contract to create aircraft that met these requirements I'll never know. One of the few times I agree with Labour. Kiwi made if possible.

>The age of the jet fighter is over, we'll get more use out of close support prop powered fighters. Plus we can use them to bomb the shit out of chinese poachers.
Literally this. Those gooks won't mess with us if we show them some force. We could still get jet fighters however a greater emphasis on the turboprop is probably for the best. Also we can bomb the shit out of asylum seekers should they head our way.

> NZF member

I knew there would be at least one here. Well done bloke. Keep up the good work. I'm interested, but am so effing busy with work and family, honestly couldn't devote the time. I subtly red pill my friends instead.

Kiwis have a general now? Noice.

Great to hear mate, I've got the same issue but I'll do as much as I can, even if that's only subtle redpilling, but if I can volunteer, then I'll do that. We should all try to do as much as we can, even if that isn't much- this is for the country

We've had one for a few weeks

First I've seen of it. But I'm up later than usual.

True. I usually start them at about 8pm NZT after dinner, but sometimes I forget, and sometimes they don't get many replies

the hamilton aircraft must be expensive because they turned them down for the trainers

chur cuz

HOLY FUCK LADS I NEVER REALISED I LOVE NZ FIRST SO MUCH

I always thought winnie was a popuist who didnt really know what he was on about (still kinda think that) but looking through his party's policies oh my lorde it's wonderful

I thought and think the same thing but he's always been consistent on immigration, even if that's the only one. Besides, what other alternatives are there?

He really used to specifically talk about the asians back in the 90s

ACT

I hate my country.

Thoughts on the cat hating gareth morgan? Think TOP will make the cut?

Who else here likes the ideas of The Opportunities Party? It's a shame Gareth Morgan took a shot at Winnie. They could have worked together.

I think that TOP can capture enough of the 'bernie' lefties in nz

Also FUCK your shitty neoliberal economics.

Bill English is a twat. ACT is full of twats. Rogernomics helped our country in their day but their time is now long gone. John Key isn't as bad as the others but he's still a fuck for keeping immigration high and ignoring the housing situation. Also, he was pushing the TPPA really hard.

Nah, they always vote Green.

Source: I used to be one.

I use to be one too. He's anti-currymucher enough for me. But I don't think he will do well with the 30+ demographic.

Why does a kiwi always fucking ask this?

It's to stop Cody Harrington from samefagging up the threads like an autist

>ACT

Nigel Latta is such a fucking wanker, only rivalled by that guy going through a midlife crisis that has a show with a fat woman after the news

Appreciate your efforts.

I reckon TOP are only of use in that they may take 0.5% of the vote from other left leaning parties. Might not sound like much but in the whole scheme of things that could make the difference between a major party (Labour) losing 2 or 3 seats.

One problem Winnie has is those of us who where around in the 90s remember him holding the country to ransom. He basically shut the country down for two months in 1996. He also pissed off Bolger and Shipley big time. I've forgiven him for all his transgressions. But many wouldn't I suspect. I do like his style though and that he stays consistent with his message.

They'll probably take some votes from centrist national voters too

centrist nats will stay nat as along as bill does not say anything conservative

I didn't like his comments about refugees today. But then he has to tread carefully. I know he was being set up with loaded gotcha questions by a fat lesbian journalist
> Mr English, do you agree with Mr Trumps terrible racist hateful ban
> Mr English, will you do the right thing and increase our quota of refugees
> What do you have to say to the children of Syria who are suffering?

Fuck I hate the media.

Prop, WTF? Might as well just convert up some Fletchers to drop white phosphorus instead of triple superphosphate fert.

we actual no jet engine planes at all in our airforce

are you saying we don't have any? that's technically not true as we have 757 transports

well ok then 2 out of our whole airforce

Fucken Helen Clark.

One of the top reasons her government was terrible.
> destroy air force
> pushing sjw legislation, such as prostitution reform bill
> opened floodgates to low skilled migrants from shitty worthless hellholes

>> opened floodgates to low skilled migrants from shitty worthless hellholes
actual that was the 4th labour government in the 80s and the next national goverment who continued it

don't get me wrong, I completely agree that our airforce is a joke. I'm just a massive sperglord over statements like that

oh common thous fat ars Orions is a perfect ground attack platform.... ( free falling bombs only, but we all love good old days, rrright? )

manually dropping bombs out of a fat plane to try and sink a sub and also having to use helicopters to fire missles to sink ships because our frigates have bugger all weapons is just a tiny bit technologically behind

That's right. It was all the islanders initially wasn't it? To drive busses and work in factories and freezing works yeah?

actually that was back in the late 60s when we had full employment factories wanted to still increase production so they need islander labour but when the economy went shit in the 70s we tried to deport them but their was complications over if samoans were nz citizens then in 86 all hell broke loose over immigration and the flood gates came open
