Formerly of Appalachian region of the USA. I only moved there for a decade as a money saver. Crime rates were absurd, but they were crimes like self indulging in homemade drugs and the occasional murder. It is a shame that it was almost desensitizing. I moved closer to a real city, and drug crimes are less, but violence is greater. Constant police sirens....but for some reason the per-capita income is much higher....It is almost like money has no effect on crime rates.......
