>ISIS preventing its fighter from leaving Mosul to Raqqa
A local source in speaking with Al-Sumaria News has claimed that ISIS has blocked routes towards Syria to prevent its fighters from escaping Mosul in northern Iraq.
The source also claimed that the group has imposed new taxes on civilians under its control in the region to help fund its fight against Iraqi forces.
“ISIS has issued a surprise decision totally halting departures by its elements from Mosul to Raqqa for whatever reason,” said the source.
Meanwhile, another source told Al-Sumeria News that ISIS imposed new taxes on taxi drivers to help pay its fighters who have had delayed salaries as its revenue streams have been affected with the contraction of its area of control.
bigstory.ap.org/article/b3fd7213bb0e41b3b02eb15265e9d292/us-military-botches-online-fight-against-islamic-state >TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — On any given day at MacDill Air Force Base, web crawlers scour social media for potential recruits to the Islamic State group. Then, in a high-stakes operation to counter the extremists' propaganda, language specialists employ fictitious identities and try to sway the targets from joining IS ranks. >At least that's how the multimillion-dollar initiative is being sold to the Defense Department. >Several current and former WebOps employees cited multiple examples of civilian Arabic specialists who have little experience in counter-propaganda, cannot speak Arabic fluently and have so little understanding of Islam they are no match for the Islamic State online recruiters. >It's hard to establish rapport with a potential terror recruit when — as one former worker told the AP — translators repeatedly mix up the Arabic words for "salad" and "authority." That's led to open ridicule on social media about references to the "Palestinian salad."

>Syrian Army advances east towards strategic crossroad in Palmyra countryside
(SAA) continued their military operations in the western countryside of Palmyra on Tuesday, targeting the Islamic State’s (ISIS) positions near the strategic Jihad Crossroad.
Led by the Shaheen Group of the Tiger Forces and 5th Legion, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the area near the Jihar Crossroad, resulting in a fierce battle with the Islamic State.
According to local reports from activists in east Homs, the Syrian Arab Army has made some gains so far, despite having limited air support from the Russian and Syrian air forces this afternoon.
The Syrian Arab Army recently made some gains east of the T-4 Military Airport; however, as long as the Islamic State still holds Jabal Jazal, Jabal Shaer, Mahr Gas Fields, and Jabal Hayyan, then they will be in good position to reverse the government gains.
>Iran to dump the US dollar in response to Trump's travel ban
According to the local news agency PressTV, the Central Bank of Iran is seeking to replace the dollar with a new common foreign currency or use a basket of currencies in all official financial and foreign exchange reports.
The governor Valiollah Seif said it would come into force in the new financial year starting March 21, 2017.
The agency quotes Seif recommending using currencies with a “high degree of stability.”
The decision comes after President Trump temporarily banned citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the US.
UN peace talks on Syria delayed until February 20 – diplomats UN-led peace talks on Syria have been postponed until February 20, the UN special envoy told the Security Council on Tuesday, according to diplomats at the closed meeting. The talks in Geneva had been scheduled to begin on February 8 but Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov last week announced they would be delayed. UN envoy Staffan de Mistura said the delay would give the Syrian opposition more time to prepare and ensure that the talks are as inclusive as possible, two diplomats told AFP. Russia, Iran and Turkey last week led talks in the Kazakh capital of Astana on shoring up a ceasefire in Syria. The council met behind closed doors to hear a report from De Mistura on preparations for the Geneva talks amid concerns the Astana discussions could open up a new track of negotiations. (AFP)

Palestinian local election set for May, likely without Gaza The Palestinian self-rule government in the West Bank has set May 13 as a new date for municipal elections after infighting between Hamas and Fatah groups derailed such a vote last year. The elections will likely only take place in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where the Palestinian Authority of President Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah movement run autonomous enclaves. The Islamic militant Hamas is unlikely to permit voting in the Gaza Strip, which it seized in a violent 2007 takeover. Hamas’ spokesman Fawzi Barhoum says the group rejects Tuesday’s decision by the West Bank-based Fatah on the new election date. The last general election, with both Hamas and Fatah competing, took place in 2006. Since then, their rivalry has prevented new general elections. (AP)

UN Security Council due to discuss suspected Iran missile launch The UN Security Council scheduled “urgent consultations” for Tuesday to discuss what a US official said was Iran’s weekend test launch of a medium-range ballistic missile. The consultations, called for by the US government, are scheduled to be held after the Council’s scheduled meeting on Syria. A US official said on Monday that Iran test-launched on Sunday a medium-range ballistic missile that exploded after traveling 1,010km. Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif neither confirmed nor denied a missile launch. He added that Tehran would never use its ballistic missiles to attack another country and that its missile tests are not part of a nuclear accord with world powers or a UN Security Council resolution endorsing the deal. Anons that do, do you have any critique of am-Assad?
One thing that ive been thinking about today is how Socrates said that men who want power should not have it. Bashar was thrust onto this position, he did not seem to want it. It was his brothers. I think that this is very interesting.
Do you all also root for Russia in Ukraine? Personally for Ukrainian nationalism and pushing out Russian imperialists, but tell me if I am wrong.

Who else is fucking hyped for the SAA, RU, USA liberation trifecta?! It'll be a glorious seeing a squadron of apaches with an AC-130 gunship overhead raining hell with HUNDREDS of drones non-stop removing every single kebab and causing extreme duress and anxiety in ISIS territory. I have a feeling General Mattis is going to go Blitzkrieg 2.0, combined with the full might and righteous fury of our ruskie bros and SAA bros, side by side.
TL;DR i cant fucking wait until General mattis executes his strategy to fucking slaughter ISIS, i guarantee it will be nothing less than glorious

i see... here back in the days people used to have ovens at their house or everybody knew somebody who did, and they used to bake this kind of bread themselves. We never had what you call bread there. I don't even think I could feel full after eating that. We in romania are mass consumers of bread... we eat it with almost everything.
How many laffa bread do you eat per day per person?
Thank you!

Asking the important questions here.. I take two of the pic I previously posted and put them on each other, then put something inside, like cheese, oliv es...etc.
I would maybe eat 6 of them a day.
I believe we eat too much bread just because of it's filling effect. Which should be substituted with fruits, meats... etc
> I don't even think I could feel full after eating that
You wouldn't . Here is the same loaf , folded.

Thank you for explaining to me lad! I\m also a big consumer of cheese and bread, all kinds of cheese.
And yeah you are right. Most ofthe people I spoke with said without having bread they don't feel full and that's the truth. We in eastern europe consume a lot of it. On the other hand in the west they don't... Guess being poor has it's downs and ups

Can't find anything about it outside of Finland. >Traditional Eastern Finnish rye bread is called "limppu". The closest translation to English would be loaf, but that does not actually describe the round, bulbous bread that is actually known as limppu, and could cause confusion as rectangular loaves are also available and are not called limppu. This bread is dark, sour in taste, dense, heavy and comparatively dryish. Its mouthfeel still remains soft enough to be bitten off easily, and leavening is easily discernible even by eye. This kind of bread was usually produced at steady intervals throughout the year, whereas Western Finnish tradition stressed rare baking sessions combined with long-term storage.
>Limppu is common in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan due to high levels of Finnish immigration and may be found in many pubs and diners across the peninsula.
>Cardamom bread or pulla (Finnish) is a type of bread flavored with cardamom. Usually baked as a loaf or in a Bundt cake pan, this sweet, aromatic cake is topped with chopped walnuts and vanilla icing, and usually requires about a day's worth of preparation. When the dough has risen, it can be braided to make it more decorative and festive.
