A REAL POL THREAD

This is a political board, and things are really heating up between Republicans and Dems in the Senate...

...but...but...but muh Bogpills, muh Nazi, muh trannies, muh CTR, muh slide threads.

Let's get a good actual political thread going about how the Democrats are getting screwed over by the very rules they and Obama put into place, regarding cabinet and life term picks.

bump. sick of fucking bog threads.

Bump for interest

The chickens have come home to roost.

Things are really heating up with Jeff Sessions, the Supreme Court nomination, a nuclear option, democrats literally losing their minds and not even showing up on the Senate floor today, the Republicans change the rules to vote without Dems...

...but...but...but...Shia Leboof arrested, you guys!

What's happening to this board??

>Let's get a good actual political thread going about how the Democrats are getting screwed over by the very rules they and Obama put into place, regarding cabinet and life term picks.
Yeah, it's great, isn't it? Trump is literally going to put the nail in the coffin of the Dem party. It's their fault though, they blew their wad on Obama.

I'm not giving Clearly Not News a click.

Can an amerifag explains how the nomination process work/what does this news mean?

>What's happening to this board??
Mass shilling and sliding operation paid for by David Brock. The pathetic homo manlet really thinks he will change our minds.

How do you not know about CTR/Shareblue flooding this dump? For someone that is virtue signalling about how informed you are, you sure seem out of the loop.
Also, theres a news board that moves much slower and has less shilling but you wat delicious attention so you won't go there will you?

Maybe someone can write a summary breakdown for our friends who may not be fully aware of the drama going on at this time.

Mitch McConnell is making some seriously historical decisions today, let's talk about these things.

How will the Gorsuch nomination affect present and future life term nominations?

This shit is exciting. History in the making, folks.

CIA psyops. Not even joking.

Look at how that forced meme Bogshit popped up literally overnight on November 8th. It's no coincidence.

Thanks OP. Good to see not a shill thread. Probably the first political thread I've seen all morning.

So this is for the Dems holding up the confirmation of these guys right? Will this apply to Sessions? They meet for Sessions again today, are the Republicans going to push him through as well? Although they tried to make Democrats commit to actually voting today. What's his fat fucking face didn't commit to keeping his filibustering to a minimum and might try delaying it again though.

ahahahaha sweetie dems are winning dont you know that trump is going to be impeached then publicly hung for being a white male?

It's going to be interesting.
Not only do Republicans take over to stop Socialist policies, but will probably see the world draw close to a world war.

People really are underestimating how much this administration has to get right. While Obama was playing on easy mode, he set the stage for this to be one of the most dangerous and unstable times in human history.

Well I can give a basic rundown of what I think is happening.

Back in like 2013 the Dems wanted to nominate a federal judge and they didn't get the votes. Basically, Reid I think it was, said fuck that and changed the rules for less needed votes. This created the nuclear option. Now the shoe is on the other foot and the Republicans are threatening to use this precedent to push the Supreme Court nomination through is the Dems won't play ball.

I don't k ow of a precedence for nuclear on Cabinet picks, maybe they're using the precedent of the Court Judge and just applying it to Cabinet picks.

it's like pottery

youtube.com/watch?v=xe5IkQr65ww

You know what, this is what left actually thinks while shouting "This is what Democracy looks like"

sounds like you need a quick rundown

anyone the US wants investigated without officially wanting to, they can just come here and make up so /x/ tier bullshit

Heres the ultimate:

>(((Jackie)))
>(((Jesus)))
>(((NiggAnons)))
>(((albino nigger Venti)))

I could go on but want to make my point, this is a put-on. You're all being duped by actors to make you more accepting of multiculturalism and immigration.

>(((Jesus))) is based, I guess they aren't so bad after all, I would take a million of him into my country

You're all being fooled by people who are paid to shill in these very threads, as well as the paid actors on stream. Some that come are legit (ouiji board/Obama guy) but it's easy to tell the difference with a keen eye. Watch for facial tics and body language, false confidence is an easy pick-up too.

Subliminal hits are real and they are getting more subtle.

Sorry I haven't typed more. Eating breakfast.

>So this is for the Dems holding up the confirmation of these guys right?
Yes. Thhe Dems have gone full retard, and have delayed Trump's cabinet picks until today, but now this morning, they didn't even show up on the Senate floor. A complete slap in the face of the democratic process.

>Will this apply to Sessions? They meet for Sessions again today, are the Republicans going to push him through as well?
Yes, but since they didn't even bother to show up, the Republicans decided to change the rules, as the majority, so they can vote, even if the Dems decide not to show up, whereas before, they couldn't vote if Dems were absent.

>Although they tried to make Democrats commit to actually voting today. What's his fat fucking face didn't commit to keeping his filibustering to a minimum and might try delaying it again though.
Right now, the Dems are STILL vetting Jeff Sessions, basically turning this confirmation into a trial. They are trying to destroy Session's reputation. It's the only tool they have left.

It's a way to filibuster or delay, by trying to bring up every little bad thing Sessions has done in his life, in the eyes of Dems.

She could have stepped down when Obama was president, they could have put in a young liberal judge, but no. Their arrogance, once again, has gotten the best of them.

I wonder if 83 year old Ruthie here will make it through 8 years of Trump. If she dies from old age during this presidency, we'll be seeing a conservative supreme court for decades.

see (semi-relavent)
Also, the president nominates his staff, congress confirms or denies. With a Republican majority, they're going through without issue and democrats are throwing the biggest collective temper tantrum the world has ever seen.

>...but...but...but muh Bogpills, muh Nazi, muh trannies, muh CTR, muh slide threads.

Agreed, fucking BUMP

You're God Damn right.

UPDATE: Senate Committee Live right now Dems keep pushing to question Jeff Sessions on Capitol Hill today.

Dems delay out of desperation, BUT the Republicans have changed the rules to vote on nominations, even if the Dems don't show up, so TWO cabinet members were confirmed this morning.

washingtonpost.com/powerpost/republicans-ram-through-committee-approval-of-trump-cabinet-nominees/2017/02/01/aa2b5458-e87f-11e6-b82f-687d6e6a3e7c_story.html?utm_term=.4ee8caed9a77

Senate Finance Commitee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) suspended the rules to advance Steven Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary and Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) as Secretary of Health and Human Services. All Republicans were at the Finance hearing on Wednesday morning but no Democrats were present to put their opposition on the record.

That is interesting OP, can someone give me a quick rundown of the situation?

>That is interesting OP, can someone give me a quick rundown of the situation?
Yeah, bro. I just did here

The only fitting successor for Ruth is her complete opposite

By congress you mean both chambers? How is the situation in the Senate? The Republicans only have a short majority there, can we expect some cucks like Lindsey "mommy's boy" Graham or McCain to try to stage a betrayal?

Everyday feels like Christmas!

Good. The U.S. doesn't have time for these people to drag their feet. Trump has to MAGA

Shut the fuck up brock no one cares not even the dems want you around, and now you're writing your own shill comments, sad!!

how do they have the gall to say they are fighting in the interests of their constituents if they dont even show up to the fucking vote

Literally nothing.

Where is the Obamacare replacement

Where is the tax cut plan

What in the literal fuck is McConnell and Ryan doing for their workday?

Why are they incapable of speaking to the people what exactly they are doing and how they are going to do it

I swear I'm going to run for Senate, would be a fucking joke to smoke these cucks 1v1

Naw, those guy swill fall in line. Graham and McCain come from a pre-Trump era where Republicans had to toe the Dem/media line because they were cucked beyond belief. We are living in a post-Trump, post-cuckservative era.

Both chambers (House of Representatives and Senate) and Republican, at least for the next 2 years (they'll most likely be Republican again when we vote for them in 2018).

>cucks like Lindsey "mommy's boy" Graham or McCain to try to stage a betrayal?

Yes, but they can't just oppose everything. McCain for example represents Arizona, who are very, very conservative. It's very "wild west" out there (guns on the hips of citizens, very conservative/christian for the most part) so he can't just outright oppose Trump, because many Republicans out there like what Trump is doing and would not re-elect McCain if he blocked him.

In their eyes, they are handing down divine judgement by not showing up.
In everyone else's eyes, they are throwing a fit.

So basically the democrats set a bunch of dangerous precedents during Obama's term thinking that Obama would be Democrats ace-in-the-hole and that Hillary was a guarantee, only for Obama to be 'meh' and for Hillary to be embarrassed. So now Republicans are doing what Democrats okayed and Democrats are throwing a temper tantrum because They wanted to do all the shady shit.

Am I right?

>Both chambers (House of Representatives and Senate) and Republican

Both chambers (House of Representatives and Senate) ARE Republican****

>a real Sup Forums thread
>links CNN
OP has jokes I see

They cannot do anything even if they turn up, the Republicans can just shove the nominations through.

>how do they have the gall to say they are fighting in the interests of their constituents if they dont even show up to the fucking vote

Not trying to justify their actions, but they know they can't win the vote, so these staged sit-outs are for political face reasons.

>I fkught the Nazi Trump White House
>Re-elect me

Pretty much. Most of this upheaval is organized, funded, and influenced by a man named George Soros as well.

Sessions in

They shouldn't be getting tax payer dollars as a salary if they're just skipping things like this, even if it's a guaranteed loss. They work to serve the public.

So now is DeVos the only nomination that might not go through? And from what ive read gorsuch is a sure thing

Really? Link?

UPDATE: JEFF SESSIONS FINALLY NOMINATED BY THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE

Jeff Sessions - US Attorney General 2017

Bogposters should be b&. Forever

doesnt sessions still have to pass senate vote?

youtube.com/watch?v=c4gtrCKk064
Just rewind 4-5 minutes backwards

Because nobody cares when everything goes right. They want happenings and conspiracy

They announced it live on FOX right now

Waiting on someone to write it online to give news link

Fox confirmed live. Sessions nomination confirmed by committee and headed to Senate floor, where it's guaranteed to pass, thanks to Republican majority.

It's hanged toots

they tried to do the same thing with that "Thoth" fake Kek meme

Bog posting is cancer, the most forced unfunny shit ever.

Yes, but you know it'll pass due to Republican majority.

The challenge was to get pass the Judiciary committee where he was getting hammered by Dems.

>Implying dumb lefties will know the difference
You have the channel their stupidity as well when you shitpost as one of them

Today is a good day. Now that Trump's AG is in we better see Clinton and her cronies being pursued. HE PROMISED.

They cannot do anything to block the nominations, they cannot get clear answers from the nominees. Tom Price was incredibly evasive and dishonest about his stock speculation. Buying and selling shares in companies you are legislating is simple corruption. The Republicans don't care about that.

I would not want to associate my self with a process that puts a sequence of incompetents and crooks into key positions. They confirmed Rick Perry and he is a fucking mongoloid.

>Bog posting is cancer
this, ban bogposters

>Today is a good day. Now that Trump's AG is in we better see Clinton and her cronies being pursued. HE PROMISED.

Yes, sir! Now things will get REALLY exciting once the Senate confirms, and Jeff Sessions starts doing his job.

This is the best time to be alive.

now that sessions is in are we gonna see some middle of the night raids clearing out the highest levels of elite pedo rings

Thanks for this thread OP. I'm so sick of seeing the same god damn threads everyday. Also, when are they going to confirm Neil Gorsuch?

This living document shit pisses me the fuck off.
No one gave the supreme court the authority to change the meaning of amendments or create their own.

Very true, same thing happened when Obama was new with a Democrat congress.

>We have to pass the bill before we know what is in it.
t. Nancy Pelosi

>Democrats are getting screwed over by the very rules they and Obama put into place

yeah ok, I hope the repubs fucking stick it to the dems and then twists the knife as it comes out. FUCK THEM.. arrest them all.

go for it my guy

>McCain aide can't be bothered to tweet the talking point verbatim.
kek

McCain should be arrested for supporting terrorism int he Middle East.

If you think ANY successful multi-millionare or billionaires doesn't avoid taxes by using offshore accounts and shell companies, you're retarded.

I would rather have financial geniuses who know rhe system, work in government, than a cabinet of multiculturalism political hacks who can't even make trade deals, and never even ran a huge corporation.

These are the smartest people in the world.

Trump said he would do this!

Billionaires are the smartest people in the world.

I don't want a loser who can't make a million dollars running my country.

>Also, when are they going to confirm Neil Gorsuch?
Like Sessions, we'll probably see maybe one ir two week delay, but once it goes to the Senate, it'll be a guaranteed confirmation.

I would expect a two week delay, and then the nuclear option used to confirm him.

>things are really heating up
Code for Sessions will get confirmed and Dems are going to cry on cable for another week

I'm not arguing for or against that. But if you're a public servant, getting paid with taxes, you go to every session, period.

I would say the same thing if the tables were completely reversed.

Dude this is the new Sup Forums you fucking retard, with the thinnest veneer of being political.

A good minority to majority of posters at any given time are just here for the memes, are shills, or are some kind of leftist here to laugh at us.

It sucks, but most people dont give a shit, and if they did, they wouldnt know jack shit about it. Most dont even understand half the shit they spout. They barely can read.

Concerned American here.

This is all going to end so, so badly.

Republicans filibustered and delayed for the last 8 years. Now Democrats are doing it and everyone's crying foul.

Really activates my almonds.

>No one gave the supreme court the authority to change the meaning of amendments or create their own.
Exactly.

The Supreme Court is NOT supposed to make laws.

Only Congress should be making laws, and Judge Gorsuch confirmed this belief on his nomination speech last night.

He's a great pick.

>This is the best time to be alive.
It really is. My entire idea of how the U.S. will be later on has completely changed from a few years ago. Do I have, dare I say it, hope?

you're damn right

>I'm not arguing for or against that. But if you're a public servant, getting paid with taxes, you go to every session, period.
I agree, friend.

Maybe Trump can introduce some kind of legislation with a penalty system for not doing your job.

Maybe like a fine for not showing up without a medical excuse.

If only Trey Gowdy would run for president.

Gowdy/Ryan 2024

>Ryan
No NeoCons. They're 1980 Democrat. They all need to get voted out.

>I would say the same thing if the tables were completely reversed.

So you were saying this when Republicans were pulling the same shit during the Obama administration?

When they ignored his supreme court pick for a year you were like "these public servants should be doing their jobs!"?

>Republicans filibustered and delayed for the last 8 years. Now Democrats are doing it and everyone's crying foul
WRONG.

Obama had around 8 members of his cabinet confirmed on DAY ONE!

Republicans might hate liberals, but NEVER at the expense of National Security.

Trump had 2 members on day one.

Bill Clinton had 9 cabinet members on day one.

The dems did that.

The Democratic party put national security at risk for political games.

Fuck Democrats.

We see it globally, liberals will destroy their own coubtry for political gains; Germany, Sweden, etc.

>Maybe Trump can introduce some kind of legislation with a penalty system for not doing your job.

I'd love to see that. I was in the Army a few years back and people would have flipped out if you skipped formation. Once you're in the government, you have a duty to attend to.

>Maybe like a fine for not showing up without a medical excuse.

Yes, a legitimate excuse of course is understandable.

But this collective temper tantrum they're throwing is alarming. My cousin is a stereotypical, elitist, upper-middle class, arrogant (((screenwriter))), I live in LA, and they've literally gone off that walls batshit insane.

Yes, they confirmed his picks then filibustered for the next 8 years on anything they could. Such public servants.

>Do I have, dare I say it, hope?
I feel the same way, brother.

Trump has brought the idea of the American dream back to life.

I'm at work but here's a bump guys

Then who would be his VP pick?

Jason Chaffez

When is the sessions vote?

>There are still liberals who think they can stop this

this is beautiful

Why are Republicans allowing the Dems to drag their feet like this?

I don't understand the Senate and all its "conventions"

I was in Iraq actually, so I didn't have time to make a statement. But in that case, they did the right thing, we could NOT afford to have a lib-cuck Supreme Court judge for the next 30 years. These liberals were literally gutting and destroying the military. If you only knew. This shit is not an accident, its not a meme

isn't it hopeless for the dems though? i thought they didn't have enough people anymore to actually block it from happening.
(as well as rigging the rules for themselves and now they are backfiring on them)

it seems like they are just kicking and screaming as long as possible with no real strategy

>Yes, they confirmed his picks then filibustered for the next 8 years on anything they could. Such public servants.
That's their job, dude!

To fight for conservative Republican principles.

Don't blame Republicans for Obama's lame duck presidency.

The buck stops at Obasma. Horrible President.

You just cannot expect a man who never ran a huge corporation to suddenly run the greatest economic power on Earth!

Obama just wasn't qualified.

Use your brain, bro.

That's a pretty good choice desu. I think if Gowdy chose Tim Scott as his VP, the libs would have an absolute meltdown

>Why are Republicans allowing the Dems to drag their feet like this?

It's the democratic process, my friend.

You can't force them to do anything, but the Republicans have changed the rules today, sdo if they don't want to show up, their votes won't count.

Republicans will win every time.

This is the price for 8 years of liberal incompetence.

>Dem try to delay everything
>Lose more seats in 2018
>GOP supermajority

Trump is able to MAGA w/o oppo
