Media blackout is good. Certain laws have to be enforced by agents of justice (lawmen or vigilantes) in a certain way that most would not appeal to. Because the criminal is too powerful/influential or have supporters - as you know, many pedos have some power or influence.
You want that media blackout so if necessary, those who are too powerful can just be killed outright (because letting them live means they eventually get out of prison on a "technicality"), or be taken to black sites for "intelligence-gathering", or be blackmailed into betraying accomplices yet to be captured.
