Um, the decline of the West is rooted in this event.

The French doomed us all.

>Would civilization exist without it

Of course but the British Empire we all know today wouldn't have

The french revolution was the death of traditionalism.
After that the world split itself into two camps. Conservatives and progressives. Both are toxins of modernism.

basically this. the French Revolution is where it all began to go to shit.

Start of the englightment. Had a major influence on western civilization. It had a positive impact in my opinion. Only bad thing I can imagine is that leftists scum and progressives now got an equal vote but besides that, very positive for the average citizen.

The French Revolution was man's biggest mistake. Liberty and freedom are lies, long live the King.

You mean Jews. Most French people supported the monarchy, Jews coup'd and massacred the French royalty

The French revolution brought a lot of good ideas but also planted the seeds of modern totalitarianism and leftism.

I would be happy living in a timeline without it. Christian traditionalism was much better.

Any red pilled videos on the subject? I am very interested.

The Revolution and Napoleon are the greatest things to have happened in history. Only reactionaries disagree.

Without it, we wouldn't have modern liberalism and shit like feminism. Fuck Napoleon.

death of the aristocracy = death of sense of greatness

we live in a society where not all people can be great (yet) and when the plebs started to rule we started admiring mediocracy instead of greatness, the french revolution was stupid for progress

dumb anime poster

i meant to answer him

Louis XVI did nothing wrong.

Those niggers down in Haiti wouldn't be eating mud cakes had this (((Jacobin))) infection not spread to the colony.

>The Revolution and Napoleon are the greatest things to have happened in history.

Yes completely kill off all your aristocracy and inturn remove all naval command structure and experienced personnel allowing the British Navy to get the upper hand, blockade France and win the world for the next 120 years

I agree it was the Best thing to happen if you were British

All of the occult lunacy that underpins our nations comes from this event. The Eiffel Tower is a beacon of evil, like the Statue of Liberty and Golden Gate Bridge.

>the french revolution was stupid for progress
Meritocracy is always better than birth"right"

youtube.com/watch?v=7VpqEgFjCO8

Here mate
Reactionaries>Liberals

The Terror was just a tiny part of something huge, you could kill a million French aristocrats and it would be irrelevant

The french revolution is what happens when the focus is equality instead of liberty

>Best thing to happen if you were British

A lot of the dead revolutionaries were found with small packets of coins. Best guess, is that they came from british (((bankers))). They were little more than Antifa walking around with Soros bucks in their pockets.

Wow, you guys are really confused...

>Meritocracy isn't birthright
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>Would civilization exist without it
Yes. It can't exist with it

France literally dismantled it's own naval power during and after the revolution and Britain made its move, if France had atleast spared its naval heirachy then things would have been vastly different today, possibly.

without french revolution, no napoleon.
without napoleon, no notion of modern nationalism as we know it, impossible to even imagine what europe would have been without napoleon desu.

that was the case with the aristocracy too and they had pressure that they must better than the plebs because they're something better than the filth

the stupid, rich son that rules over the intelligent farmers and workers is a meme

kek

anyone who speaks ill of the french revolution and napoleon is a kike shill or extremely blue pilled. there is no exceptions

That may be true but as I was saying, the influence of the revolution expanded beyond France and Trafalgar

I don't see how nationalism wouldn't have eventually happened, you have a bunch of nations/peoples around each other who geopolitically want to territorially expand. It might have been totally different to how we perceive it but I don't see some form of isomorphic nationalism, if by another name not forming.

Without it you'd still be peasants living literally meaningless lives in order to feed your local lord and his 6 concubines
Forget any personal freedom you have, forget having an education, forget comfort and wealth, forget having the opportunity to have your life and destiny decided by anything other than your birth

Only literal retards think it was a bad thing, because they don't understand mass immigration and cultural marxism were brought on much later by the jews

France has a learning disability

>Would civilization exist without it

yes

it was savagery

He's talking about en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romantic_nationalism en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civic_nationalism

This has some truth to it, I think that National Socialism was actually a reaction to the French Revolution that wanted to get rid of a lot of the egalitarian and Jewish bullshit but also preserve a lot of the modernities of it and also keep some of the stuff it produced, like Napoleon's and Bismarck's European nationalism.

Yes, there would still be America.

But most of us are British decendants, who are still a monarchy.

normie channel but good points :

youtube.com/watch?v=q3M7DVkGNf4

napoleon, as a pure product of the french revolution, had a bigger impact on history than the revolution itself (and France would have been destroyed if not for him after the revolution).

>you'd be feeding your local lord
>you'd be blablabla

No, I would be fed from my local you's. Fuck off with your slave mentality and victim reasoning

There was no sense of national identity at all, it was born during the revolution and for Germany it was during their war of """liberation""" much of the reason nationalism exists was as a result of the beliefs that were promoted during the revolution. People like Jeanne d'Arc were only a precursor that would come to be associated with it later.

Well, obviously the state of the country today is testament to how great the French Revolution really was. Now everyone is equal, especially the Jews.

What happened when those peasants left their land and moved into the city? (They started killing themselves because modernity=a shit)

Some people are worth more than others faggot.

If you hate the Jews so much then why do you love Napoleon seeing as he emancipated them?

The Revolution fucked up a lot of things, but at least it made room for the Enlightenment. The next greatest thing was Napoleon - he did a fuckton of good things for the country (institutions, education) that still are still standing to this day. Tbh, we need him back.

This.
Thanks again Olivier

>Would civilization exist without it

It would. The revolutionaries just vented their anger but were unable to conceive much of their own. They mostly copied the already existing system and were soon overtaken by Napoleon.

The fruits of scientific progress and growing infrastructure inevitably had to reach the common man independant of the governmental development.

...

...

> Speaking ill of the French Revolution
> Kike
You blue pilled retard, the French Revolution was one of the best things that ever happened to the Jews in Europe, it essentially gave them complete equality and emancipation and gave them a level of institutional power unlike anything even close to what was previously available to them.

>If you hate the Jews so much then why do you love Napoleon seeing as he emancipated them?
Not him, but he only emancipated the common Jew, who lived in ghettoes and literal slavery. He did likewise with other religious minorities like protestants. The (((people))) who funded the final war against him were the "corporate" Jews (Rothschilds)

Jews were the biggest factor that were responsible for it's downfall

>Redpill me on French Revolution

It was a mistake. It foreshadowed the degeneracy of total dechristianization of Western societies. At one point they placed a common street whore on the altar in Notre Dame and worshiped her as the goddess of reason.

They outright murdered Queen Antoinette and their King who did nothing wrong - he was well within his rights. His crime was that he prevaricated and compromised with the revolutionaries but should have realized they were fanatics who had no intention of being placated or compromising with the ancient order. Every time he tried to appease them he was only giving them more legitimacy and ability to realize their final goal; he was signing his own death sentence.

1/2

2/2

The French revolution for us Americans is important because it shows what we rejected and the middle and sane path we carved for our republic, which chose a middle way between monarchy and democracy and has never degenerated into the awful spectacle of the French revolution. Secularism was not a religion in itself meant to supplant the religion of the people but a means or instrument at the service of religious liberty and freedom and, of course, liberty generally; and yes, the revolutionaries went so far in their fanaticism as to abolish the Christian calendar and secularize it by imposing, e.g., a 10 day week among other bizarre novelties (the 7 day week was thought to be Judeo-Christian construct). They also invented a series of state religions and religious ceremonies revolving around the worship of reason and liberty personified. It was childish and ridiculous almost beyond belief. A complete humiliation of the one of the most advanced and sophisticated peoples and societies man had ever seen.

The French revolution also stands as a testimony against total democracy, which results in mob rule and finally totalitarianism. Napoleon had to rise to power to secure its existence and prevent a total reversal back into monarchy, which inevitably would have occurred given the instability of the revolutionary order.

But the people were happy before the revolution. They were dragged into the revolution - coerced, tricked, and forced - by a group of scoundrels only looking to seize power for themselves. There are a lot of parallels between the FR and the Russian Revolution. It was never about the people. In both cases, they were a lot worse off after the revolution. Have you ever read a book?

The French revolution was the culmination of a long process of intellectual development (the enlightenment) and economic development (growth of the bourgeois class). By itself it didn't start the decline, it was just a more visible symptom.

>he only emancipated the common Jew
youtube.com/watch?v=ueP-sPcgooI
>who lived in ghettoes and literal slavery.
How is that a good thing? All Jews are the fucking same.
>He did likewise with other religious minorities like protestants.
How is that a good thing? France is a catholic country.
>not knowing the Rothschilds played both sides

Go back to redit nigger

All in all it wasn't completely bad, some good things came about it, like the increased focus on science, education, literacy, power to the common man, etc. However it also destroyed a lot of ideas that are vital to an effectively functioning nation like a recognition of the importance of hierarchy and established institutions. Also, even though I'm not religious I struggle with the idea that a religious society may actually be healthier than a non-religious one and that religion may be necessary to hold a society together and ideologically strong with a desire to preserve itself into the future.

I think that National Socialism/Fascism is basically a synthesis of Reactionary Values with Modernist/Progressive Values brought over from the French Revolution or Enlightenment and minus the egalitarian and jewish bullshit that was later added onto them.

the rothschilds were the ones that funded the english to go defeat napoleon you blue pilled retard cuck. then with the debt incurred by the english this made it so they were the slaves to the kike bank until this day. the english have always been the enemy to yurop. bunch of island, celtic monkeys. all this anti french garbage is english kike propaganda

Lel, the brits didn't even have India until the French Revolution happened and they got a bunch of area in treaties from fags allied with napoleon.

the state of the country today is because we've started reverting pack to the times where we were ruled by kings and queens you retarded cuck. you're complaining about society by suggesting society should return to the way it is now

>Without it you'd still be peasants living literally meaningless lives in order to feed your local lord and his 6 concubines

IMPLYING WE DON'T LIVE THIS LIKE NOW

>He hates the English
>He lives in a country based on English values and built by the English

>The Rothschild played both sides
Really?

If you're against traditionalism then you don't belong here.

Maybe you do but those of us living in actual countries don't.

No, the deterioration of Civilization can be rooted from The Reformation. The Frenchies got their core rebellion ideas from the Reformation

>Rothschilds played both sides
[citation needed]

didn't read. fuck off english kike. i pray every day that you subhuman parasites get nuked. what a fucking accident that your country became relevant on the world stage. you're a cancer to the people of yurop. you're jew fucking slaves and you always have been. you poisoned the usa with your jewry too. russians still know you pieces of shit as the enemy so there's still hope that some day your entire shitty island gets fucking nuked. fuck you, you piece of shit inbred monkey

i fucking hate the english so god damn much. fuck you. don't ever respond to me again

Do you hate your founding fathers too?

Please don't tell me you're some autistic faggot from New England who's triggered over losing his peoples language.

This too, even as an atheist raised as a Lutheran I'm starting to think that Protestantism in general was a mistake, the most cucked countries in Europe are almost entirely Protestant, Lutheran specifically, countries, and the Reformation also laid out the ideals of egalitarianism and secularism to the point of autism practiced as a sort of pseudo-religion by fedoras today. You see it in Puritanism and in its descendant Universal Unitarianism/Humanism, which isn't even Christianity and which is basically morally Judaism with less tradition for goys.

>reverting pack to the times where we were ruled by kings and queens

There's nothing wrong with being ruled by kings and queens, so long as those people feel a duty to the country and people and have the capacity to carry out good works, but the kings and queens of today are just dirty kikes who hate the people they rule over. I think this is the part where I'm supposed to call you a stupid autist manlet...

>pic related
What's that at the top?

WTF, the English built this country, all of its institutions, and everything it was founded on and ran it during the greatest run any country has ever had before the kikes infiltrated our institutions, you can't think that America was a great country circa 1965 and not believe that it wasn't because of the English and their ideals.

>Meritocracy
People still believe this shit is real

>What's that at the top?

Hey, there's one on top of this too, wtf.

>IMPLYING WE DON'T LIVE THIS LIKE NOW

Ivan has a point. There is a tendency toward the centralization of wealth and its production by illegitimate means - bureaucratic corruption and excessive regulation especially. Capitalism is great so long as there are safeguards and limits against complete monopoly or an effective oligarchy; otherwise, you have a feudalism without any rights or reciprocal obligations.

Feudalism has a bad rap because of muh dark ages but at least in feudalism the peasants did have rights and were owed justice and security from their lords, both economic and legal. While they owed rents to their landlords they were also entitled to a share of the produce and to live on that land; they had a right to work. In modern times we are facing the difficulty of realizing the right to work and make a living.

France before the revolution:
- Strongest country in Europe and in the world
- 100% white
- Strong people not afraid to fight

France after two centuries of Republic:
- Britain and then Germany are first power in Europe. Later USA and USSR are more relevent in the world
- 70% white
- People are too afraid to remove radical muslims and prefer to die from them

This is all you need to know.

Rich Jews bought most of the food and hid it from the population, creating a crisis so big that is led to the huge chimpout (in addition to a few other things).

This made the society way more liberal in the end, when in reality, this liberalism meant that the rich (which basically created the crisis) can do with their money what they want (exploit, lend and ususry).

While correct, the decline started 100 years prior in your country. Letting the Jews back on the island wasn't a good idea, but they were Cromwells money lenders anyway...

>new english language
Kek'd and rekk'd

of course, protestants are basically cucked christians

A warning from history about the dangers of lefty.

Bourgeois convinced the people the king was a bad person. Revolution ensues. Corporations are dissolved and bourgeois take control of economy. They sell France out to the jewish banks a few decades later.

>>Meritocracy
>People still believe this shit is real

It is real and perfectly possible way or producing in each generation the aristocratic class. Every functioning society needs and ends up with an aristocracy of some kind. There is nothing impossible about a meritocracy; it is, however, difficult owing to the natural human desire and tendency to secure one's place and future. So long as we harness that desire toward something meritorious and productive - i.e. what benefits both the individual and the greater society - then there is nothing wrong with it. Difficult, yes, but hardly impossible.

>Reign of Terror
Name says it all. They also weren't fighting for anything that philosophers since Greece hadn't figured out or that the Americans hadn't started yet.
If you had asked about French Enlightenment that would be trickier.

Those fuckers killed a lot of good people. In science class we learnt about this one guy (forgot froggo's name) that made lighting and fertilizer available for farmers, and was middle class but still got executed anyway. French should shoot themselves.

There is a very simple rule for leaders: if your people are starving in the streets your head will get chopped off.
Not even monarch-cucks can defend the end days of the Ancien régime

Didnt the American Revolution happen first..?

>The Gibs Me Dat Revolution
>"enlightened"
>"intellectual"

No

>There is a very simple rule for leaders: if your people are starving in the streets your head will get chopped off.
>Not even monarch-cucks can defend the end days of the Ancien régime

This is retarded. Are you a fucking Jew?

Fuck you, it wouldn't have happened if ancient burgers could fight a war on their own.

This. Industrial revolution would have happened in France and the anglo would have been btfo a long time ago.

American revolution was completely different, a British colony wanting emancipation and self governance is not the same as a class revolution. Which is what the French revolution was, typical gommunism rich vs poor class baiting divide and conquer kikery.

If you want to spread your ass-cheeks for the feudalism be my guest but don't try to rope me into that.

Europe would have been populated and controlled by oligarchs for the rest of it's history

Civilization would have existed, but the world would have been worse off

Also the British Empire probably wouldn't have existed

> There is a very simple rule for any human opposing us: if you are alive your head will get chopped off
I bet you think that Robespierre was a good guy

Okay now hold on a moment
American revolution
>we have high taxes
>we don't wanna listen to you we wanna be free
>we have our own rights and freedoms
French Revolution
>we are tired of serving the rich
>we don't wanna listen we wanna pursue our own goals
>we have personal rights and freedoms

These aren't the same?

>Europe would have been populated and controlled by oligarchs for the rest of it's history
Who do you think controls it in this timeline?

spoiler alert: he also got his head chopped off.

France before the Revolution
-Weakened country crippled by debt
-Mentally retarded king who has no clue how to manage the realm

France after the Revolution
+ BTFO'd all of Europe in 7 coalition wars
+ Democratic Meritocracy rather then a bunch of nobles being born into power
- Has a megalomaniac Emperor for a while
- Would later become a socialist shithole

It was a proto-commie revolution but at the time they didn't have the ideological tool (marxism) to consolidate their power, so they got stuck in the faction war/purging phase without one single guy coming out on top. Of course then this led to the collapse and imminent doom of the country and a strong right wing leader had to come in and save the day. And for some reason the fucking maniacs are hailed as heroes when all they did was almost destroy their country.

Says a cuckoo from the oldest democracy in Europe...

This is one of those things that makes you love France and its people. Fuck monarchy, fuck nobility, fuck clergy. These ideas of freedom, republic, and society are great. If you associate these ideas with mainstream liberals you are wrong. You should associate them with conservatives.
