the Seattle judge ruled that the "ban" was without reason because the party that instituted it "did not provide factual evidence that their position was the right one"
the precedent, as noted by the Boston judge, was that clear reason is "arguable benefit to the country"
also the supreme court has made clear it's view on a federal court extending it's ruling outside of the direct settlement of the plaintiffs involved, for this exact reason. now we have two sister courts with opposite rulings, which could have been wattles discreetly, but now everybody's going to look like an idiot.
