It's been amazing to me how tone-deaf and out of touch the entire Conservative lineup has been this whole leadership race. Not only do they insist on sperging out over garbage that only the most hardcore Conservative party partisans care about (MUH FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS MUH LIBERTARIANISM), they seem to have tried to acknowledge the growing support for populism, but since they're so out of touch, they ape populism through vapid substance-free personal disputes and empty bants (see O'Leary vs. Justin, different candidates vs. each other, etc.) and shitty memes that try to show how in touch they are with the people, but which come across as forced and out-of-line with the stiff mannerisms of these Conservative partisans (see OP's pic).

The criticism that this would be impractical and wouldn't work at the current applicant rates/quotas misses the point entirely. Paraphrasing what I heard from her in person on Sunday, she entirely agrees, it wouldn't be possible to maintain current rates, so the rate of admission would be forced down to whatever rate *is* practical and quotas would be abolished. So whether the yearly admission number is 300,000 or whether its 50 (wink), we would only accept whatever number we can properly screen.

I am not a socialist. I just know that we are dealing with a population crisis and need young people to deal with the people whom are retiring and placing a burden on the system.
Ideally, people would just start having kids but I would be willing to offer incentives to avoid the alternative solution.
Since one reason we are not having kids is economic, then subsidized daycare could help boost the birth rate.

Never said the government decides what your daycare is. Think of public school system. It's sudsidized at 100%. Many private school (depends on province) are subsidzed at 80%, the logic being it's cheaper to pay that than have those kids in public system.
