can someone tell me what happens if she isnt confirmed

Trump would have to nominate someone else.
But it doesn't matter because she was confirmed.

She assblasts Elizabeth Warren so yeah.

WOULD

so he could just nominate someone with all the same opinions. So what the fuck was i supposed to be worrying about this whole time

Bargaining chip. Trump was likely asked to nominate her in exchange for another cabinet member to be pushed through by Graham and McCain.

Absolutely. She will ensure american education will remain meme tier

Second only to Trump, Devoss has triggered the most liberals on my Zuckerbook.

luv me some grizzly mummy

Yeah, I support her. The education system in this country is a joke, throwing more money at it isn't fixing the problem. Figure that the average teacher salary is about $45K/year and for 10 months of work isn't too shabby. If it was year around, the salary should work out to about $54K/year which is about $2K under the national average. It's not the best paying job, but it's also not the worst.

There's a lot more other than teacher pay, things like district overhead, cost of facilities and what not. The money savings come down to bureaucratic overhead imposed by districts, which is where the idea of charter schools and vouchers come into play. They introduce accountability at the hands of parents, which puts pressure on the districts and administrators to perform. Not hard to see why they like it, tenure is pretty sweet for a gig that is pretty safe from scrutiny.

I have two kids that are both in private school. I've never had an issue with common sense stuff that I had a problem with when I was in public schools; shit like taking allergy medicine or cough drops with me for the day. My kids aren't bothered by staff for having this kind of stuff, where I was actually questioned for bringing in "drugs." Nothing ever happened to me, but that's the kind of environment these fuckers breed.

The retards saying she'll kill the federal education apparatus and deal a damaging blow to teachers unions believe this makes her unqualified for the job. This is why a lot of people like her. Even if her actions shift the problems from a nationwide level to the local level, it at least gives the people who send their kids to those schools the power to make shit happen. Might mean parents have to get involved in their children's education; oh the horror!

Checkin' digits, because lazy ass nu-fags aren't contributing to the Kek War Machine

Dipshit is the only word that comes to mind. And the shit eating grin only amplifies it.

Why couldn't she be Ambassador to who gives a shitistan?

Sup Forums can't defend this, because there is nothing to defend. She's an empty cunt who only knows how to spend her husband's money.

Unless she was a cutie as a teenager. ANy pics?

Good info. I never understand how school teachers can possibly complain so much when they have it fucking MADE. 45k is the average but its impossible to get fired. The longer you stay, the more you get paid. Its a gaurenteed solid paycheck with gaurenteed raises each year and a gaursnteed path to a fat pension. No need to make any carrer moves, you are basicly set. NOT TO MENTION THEY WORK LESS THAN 66% OF THE YEAR (3 months for summer vacation, 1 week thanksgiving, 2 week christmas, 1 week spring break, +martin luther king, labor day, memorial day and snowdays in the midwest.) Teachers should be paid equal to the hours they work. 45k is GENEROUS given they work 7 months a year

It should be performance based desu. There are some really great fucking teachers out there, who are in it for the love of the job. They are up against dipshit educators who spoil the lot, collect a paycheck and treat the kids like an inconvenience.

Parent teacher conferences should be two fold in that you get to evaluate your child's performance as well as the teacher's, where you can give your input as to whether they deserve a raise or get kicked out the door.

Doubt that will ever fucking happen, but it would be nice.

I don't mind the salary they make for doing the job. Dealing with a room full of kids is exhausting, especially when your ability to effectively discipline has been majorly cucked by these snowflake fucking politicians. As much as there are shitty teachers, there are shitty students with shitty parents who won't fix their fucking kids and they take away from all the others. Teachers need to have that ability back in their hands, otherwise the spiral continues.

States need money to pay for education, they're on the Federal tit right now for a lot of it. Feds always think they can run performance based payouts, but it always ends up as some standardized cuck test that waters down the pool. Gee, I wonder who thought that was a good idea?

Charter schools will fuck up along the way, vouchers will be misused, but at least the problem isn't centralized at the federal level. This country needs to learn how to handle their local shit as a community and break the fucking programming of letting someone else deal with it. High energy times, praise kek!

Its strange how no one realizes were fighting a dragon here that is the public education sector, I think once you slay it, all the small dragons will come and fight for its former territory. no one has a positive memory of school, especially on the internet which has a wealth of self knowledge dudes just hanging around touting every detail they didn't enjoy of a collectivized system as reason to disband it to the ground. this country will be absolute anarchy if she does anything that tries to start from scratch. we will become more marxist in result if it is done too fast because that is actually the prevalent school of thought in the active teaching population. this after 8 years of secular self important ideas... seriously I personally know how much of a drain public education is on this country I just feel she is going gungho about it and it will be the first domino of another interstate civil war. i've always supported corporate based education but seriously not at a scale like she is proposing.

She pisses off the SJWs, so yes

Interesting argument, care to expand on that?

I got a few teachers on my kikebook that i like to read for liberal tears. They each seem to support common core and not this woman, so im WITH HER.

She's doing an excellent job of supporting my milf fetish.

I'd fuck the hell out her.

Education =/= Government Schooling.

Keep that in mind when the leftist shills try to make you think that breaking down the horrific socialist brainfuckery in public schooling is somehow the same as denying people education.

No she's dumb as a box of rocks and Trumps worst pick so far. Just becauee you support Trump overall doesn't mean you support everything he does.

disgusting tbqh

>support GOP across the country with millions of dollars
>get cabinet position
>swamp drained

He didn't have to go full-retard on his Ed pick. He could've just nominated a vanilla ass republican who would do nothing (which is fine), but he nominated a woman who has steered clear of public education her whole life. How can you even fix the problems if you have no idea what they are? It's pretty asinine.

all the libkeks are freaking out about her, so she must be good

but seriously, we can't let drumpf get the nuke codes

session when?

Sec of Education. Who cares?
