A FUCKING LEAF

Why does our education system teach us things that 99% of us will never use? Why not focus on more practical things that everyone will use in day to day life?

For example, my dad passed away so no one ever taught me how to change my own oil. I'd have taken a class on basic car maintenance in a heartbeat if my HS offered it.

1) Use fucking google you tool.
2) Home Ec teaches most of that shit.
3) Public school is not a replacement for your dead father.

Also, there are countless high paying jobs that rely on information like cell theory to function. Most of this STEM shit leads to careers where people, quite literally, have lives depending on your knowledge. You know, those careers where people actually have money to do taxes.

>implying you can't Lear any of that online for free (libraries)
>implying that individual knows anything about cells (muh mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell)

Lets be real that nigger knows nothing about cells in a leaf

>still don't know how mortgage or taxes work

Thats because her family doesn't have a mortgage and they don't pay taxes. The school system can't and shouldnt try to make up for a lack of parenting.

how do you not know how a mortgage works

No, you filthy fucking nigger, you don't know about the cells inside a leaf. You have zero fucking clue as to what goes on in any cell, plant or not, safe for the prison cell. And you niggers can't seem to remember what they look like either because you always have to take a second, third, fourth look.

With regards to everything else, you think you know, but you don't, and you never will because you really hate learning something new, as reading is what whiteys do and fuck whitey. Small wonder nigger is synonymous with mongoloid.

I'm not saying STEM is useless or unjustified.

But why not just teach it at higher levels when people have already chosen their careers? How will knowing about leaves ever help her?

>Biology
>Useless
What is being a doctor or anything in the medical field?
This moron probably thinks chemistry is useless too.

Did you know how mortgages work when you were 14?

Yea because doctors really need to know what types of cells a leaf containes.

Every student should take pre-calc math at least.

Your algebra skills are very important to nearly every career.

Let's see

>HNIC

Hanging Niggers Is Cool?

Learn these things from your parents, oh wait she's black. When I graduated high school I already had a loan, and a car that I bought myself. Niggers are just stupid and don't know how to finance. And no I'm not a boomer.

I love these "I know a useless fact from school ( actually I don't know shit about it but if I'd studied then I would've learned it lol) but not this basic everyday knowledge everyone with a double digit IQ knows" posts

Canadians need medical help too.

Brutal but all true

I did, I worked for a real estate appraiser at 14.

Biology is cool, but they really do spend a fuck tone to long going over cells

Economics was required at my school. Weird

...

>these are the same people who insult conservatives as uneducated

That birch didn't pay attention in class because she's a dumb nigger.

My 6th grade mathematics class taught us how to fill our state and federal taxes. It was a homework assignment

It teaches basic biological function.
Just so happens that microbiology is one of the requirements to become a doctor, let alone do anything the medical field.
I'm in college now for biochemistry, and the only challenge I got from high school sciences was when I took AP sciences, which weren't offered until senior year because the system gets so slowed down by morons like you. I'm not going to waste more time in college or have my potential children's high school education ruined because you don't want to take five seconds to learn about a mitochondria or memorize the periodic table.
STEM subjects may not be you're thing, but they take a lot of education that I'm not going to pay 40K a year to get that I could get in high school without dumb people slowing classes down.

Then you are one of the 20 states that require it.

Other states are lax.

you probably thought reading was usless because you dont know how to apparently...

read the OP again

>hy does our education system teach us things that 99% of us will never use

never used the word useless, never called science useless.

>tfw no dad growing up
>tfw never learned how to shave properly
>tfw never gone fishing
>tfw never gone hiking
>tfw never learned how to fix shit
>tfw no male role model
>tfw no one taught me how to be a man
>tfw single mother turned me into a sensitive, mentally-ill meek bitch faggot

>I'd have taken a class on basic car maintenance in a heartbeat if my HS offered it.

most high schools do.

also it takes like 5 minutes to learn what taxes are

Apparently a lot of high schools don't even have home ec anymore.

I'd be pretty alarmed if my doctor didn't understand illness on a cellular level, and didn't know how cells differed between animals and plants.
Then again, Serbian doctors probably think that smoking is good for lung health.

School teaches us general information about the world, it's history and how it works.

Who should be teaching you about practical aspects of your everyday life are your parents and friends.

watch a youtube video. it's not particularly hard.

High school attempts to educate you a little bit in a bunch of specialized fields, in the hopes that it will help you find your passion and continue that education in college.

It isn't focusing on things that everyone will need. I see that as a problem, but hey, I'm not ruler of the universe, and plan to homeschool my children because public school is such a fucking waste of time.

school should teach both
the last year in high school covers economics but nothing involving taxes

the first 2 years of college already kinda focuses on that

Always the dumb but pragmatic bluepilled kids who say this because they have no interest about the world except for $ and getting laid.

Because that shit is fucking basic. Ask anybody to teach you or just look it up. You don't need to spend money or taxpayer money to fucking learn how to change your oil.

School is about equipping a generation with the skills and knowledge they need to get a job in an advanced economy. Unskilled jobs are disappearing because of automation and globalized labor. If you want to contribute to advancing or innovating in any field, you just might need to know random shit like how plant cells work. It forms the basis for more specialized knowledge, say in the use of agricultural innovation, genetically modified crops, botanical pharmaceuticals, or what have you.

The real problem isn't that this shit is useless, it's that it's useless for most of the mediocre idiots who go through the educational system. We're not allowed to split students into tracks based on their actual intelligence in ability, because that makes people feel bad about themselves, but then they bitch about having to learn about plant cells when they're going to end up as a "sandwich artist" anyway.

Depends on what you're doing, honestly. I mean, it's not like English 101 and Philosophy 101 are anything specialized, yet people take them as a way to knock out their general studies, and others just go to a Tech Institute.

I'm sorry man. It sucks.

At least you know something is wrong and can work to fix it. A lot of guys in your shoes are happy to remain numale cucks.

Listen, we teached our kids leafs and berries since 40'000 years ago and we will be teaching our kids leafs and berries for another whole damn infinity.
now stop crying about you new age shit. fucking millenials. i'm about to loose it.

Mortgages are a pretty fucking easy concept to understand.

>i still don't know how mortgage or taxes work
Then learn it now. But instead they will just post on social media and play video games and complain they never learnt anything.

They teach you how to work in the system, not how the system works.

same

Lol. No, they're not. Not important for lawyers, clothing designers, contractors, insurance agents, realtors, chefs, camera operators, gardeners, ceramic artists, opera singers, car mechanics, painters, teachers, therapists, retail clerks, field biologists, pilots, truck drivers....shall I fuckibg go on?! You kids are regarded. Having skills like knowing how to cook a healthy meal, understand nutrition, buy a home, make a budget, fix basic shit for yourself, and invest money changes you from a person who can be fucked over by (((them))) to someone who can fend for themselves in life. ESPECIALLY knowing how to manage money and invest. (((They))) don't want us to know any of that because it's easy to exploit ignorance. And they love exploitation.

Also FYI genius, most schools don't even have Home Ec anymore. Let alone anything which teaches real world survival skills. We should probably add a child rearing/child development class too, because so much abuse and crap parenting comes from ignorance too. Healthier children means a better future for all of us.

> tfw fatherless america

Taxes and mortgages aren't complicated. They're hardly rocket surgery. Moreover, I'd write you a fucking check for $10,000 right now if you proved to me that person knows how a cell works in any sufficient detail.

had a dad and it's still 5/7 of it.
pro tip: you become a man. you are not being made into a man.

Oy vey, we should hire bankers to teach in school! We'll institute a new "how to repay your debts" and "Holocaust" curriculum!

lots of black kids i know grew up like this
a lot of them are oreo sissies who have problems talking to girls
maybe it's for the best for niggers to leave their kids so their kids end up not reproducing
if they did grow up with their fathers they'd probably just get beaten everyday by a drug addicted nigger, making them grow up to be total niggers
but a hidden problem is these oreos end up with major mommy issues and feel weird about starting relationships with women of the same race (as if they even succeed with how beta they are)

Let's be honest, if you're a Wall Street banker you're more qualified to teach than some education major. I know a handful of Wall Street types, and they're all brilliant people. I can't say the same for some of the education majors I've met.

At this point, if you are unable to search the internet to figure out how to be a productive man, then that's on you.

Pick up a Maggard razor, some shaving pucks, a good brush (silvertip>synthetic>everything else), and some Astra Platinum double edged razor blades, and watch a youtube video.

Fishing and hiking shouldn't even need a video.

Fixing shit: youtube

Role model: overrated. Philosophy can teach you to be a better man than anything else. Start with Nicomachean ethics

You're not responsible for your own raising, but you ARE responsible for realizing there is a problem, and not fixing it.

People say the same shit about algebra. If you learn algebra you can choose a field to apply it and make significant strides or you can go LOL WHY and work at a shopping centre and fuck up every day maths by not knowing how many juices are on a 2 metre by 2 metre pallet without asking your boss.

In OPS world learning about cells in a leaf would be the first lesson of biology in university and courses would be 8 years long for a bachelors.

She knows about your cells bro, I would watch out

>Why does our education system teach us things that 99% of us will never use? Why not focus on more practical things that everyone will use in day to day life?
That's not the purpose of public education. The ruling class wants dumb people obsessed with minutiae.

Its easy enough to work out for yourself, stop being a little retarded bitch that needs to be fed with a fucking spoon.

>identify information you haven't learned but feel is necessary
>bitch about it online rather than looking it up yourself
If he'd stop wasting time on social media and use the internet to do some research he'd learn on his own for once in his fucking life.

to give you a general overview and to teach discipline. if you care about your future you suck it up and study. if you know you won't need it, then you just party through high school and then start working retail by the time you are 18. (unless you are a genius or hit the lottery with some tech start-up or something)

easy as that.

can african americans not autodidact

School is meant to teach you how to learn, not things that everybody can do in 5 minutes

Medicine is a practice, not a spelling bee.

In the 60s, you could go straight to med school. Now you gotta have an edge to get interviewed while passing exams that won't have meaning.

The opposite, actually. School teaches you to slip by with the least amount of effort.

I remember in highschool I had this English teacher, the rumor was he was a pervert and fucked some of the girls in the school. He had us read Lord of the Flies, truly a degenerate book. Then we were given a website to research it on, it had pics from the original black and white movie where a lot of the kids are nude.

It was just surreal, like. Basically being given computer time to browse child pornography. In a public school.

I am sure there was something more important I could have been learning. Maybe Adam Smith.

>2) Home Ec teaches most of that shit.
That's an elective class. Only faggots and women were known to take it.

>2017
>Being this retarded

Shit tier bait, faggot.

I had a handicapped teacher for Latin who would only invite girls up to the board. If you had a fat ass, you were practically tutored 1-on-1. He was fired, though.

what? i don't know about what you learn at you shitty schools but you have to study incredibly hard here to get good enough grades in order to get into fields with high paying jobs.

of course, you can just 'slip by with the least amount of effort', like a nigger, and then get an arts degree or something.

Americans are pretty dumb by any metric. If you go to a well-funded district, have wealthy (or intelligent) parents, you'll do well. But the rest of the country? No, you're taught how to not stick knives in toasters and given a diploma.

>I don't know how mortgage work
>How mortgage work
>being this retarded

it's a fucking loan dipshit all you need to know about it you were taught in 9th grade algebra while you kept saying "when am I ever gonna need this"

lord of the flies is red pilled, fucko

Shows what kinds of bat shit crazy things people do with mob mentalities. The problem is that faggy teachers like yours don't know how to teach critical thinking and reading comprehension anymore.

To be desu he does sound like a degenerate tho, I had an 8th grade science teacher who got fucking busted for molestation.

When will people realize that US of A is big ass lab?

Dutch going full nuclear

>wealth of information literally at your fingertips.
>it's never been easier to find out how to fix, build, program, do anything.
>WAAAHHH, WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW WHEN I DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW IT UNTIL RIGHT NOW!?

This aqua is too fresh for me

I grew up like you and ended up ok, stop being a faggot

gestalt

I'll be your daddy fuccboi

> You have zero fucking clue as to what goes on in any cell, plant or not, safe for the prison cell.

Top kek.

>He didn't have a life skills class in middle school.

Shit was pretty cash. Learned the basics of financial literacy and discipline. Read books like pic related which spelled things out simply enough for apathetic teenagers to understand.

We even followed the stock market and "invested" in various stocks to see who would have the biggest return on investment by the end of the class.

These are things functional adults learn on their own

>americans are studying leafs

Because the education system is a jobs program for people who are otherwise unemployable but have something of a work ethic.

It's not about educating you. It's not about you at all, it's about all those asshole teachers and principals and administrators and the tax dollars they draw as their paychecks.

It's about justifying their existence and seeing that they are kept in the life style to which they've become accustomed.

Long-term investment: diversify like fuck and try to be a part of everything and reap the rewards of inflation and economic growth with no risk
Short-term investment: buy low sell high. but keep in mind that everyone else is doing this too. also keep in mind that unless you're a vulcan or have insider info or are colluding with smart money your emotions and impulses are going to interfere with your plan and you'll fall for every little trap no matter which way you're trading

The education system teaches you the fundamentals you need to operate as a human being.

Once you finish elementary school, or at the worst, high school, you already possess all the abilities and intellectual tools necessary to quickly figure out how mortgages work.

In regards to OP's pic - if more children correctly understood biology they would not have bizarre and illogical magical/folk tale beliefs in things like "transgenderism".

You can learn mortgage amortization tables in a 4 minute youtube video.

They don't want us to know how finance works. They want to keep us as debt slaves.

>Why does our education system teach us things that 99% of us will never use?

Because education became a political issue. After Carter established the dept of education it all went down hill. The only options now are private school and home schooling.

You can solve most of these issues with an internet connection now.

>Have dad, but hes a shitty driving instructor
>When trying to learn how to reverse park and parallel park he just says to keep repeating it till it works, and doesn't understand why I don't just 'get it' after a few tries
>Go online to a few Youtube videos that demonstrate exactly how far ahead to pull up and using the lines and mirrors to gauge distance
>Did it that day with ease

Are you me?

>can't appreciate literature

Must be a chink or something

>implying he didnt dindu nuffin during school except beat up white kids for their shoes and sold drugs
I learned all about mortgages, taxes, checks, etc. in school, I took the fucking business classes that most schools in my county have. The fact he doesnt know shit isnt the schools fault, its his

Also the girl in OP is basically saying to make it go back to the 1800s where you were only taught what was required for you to work and that's it.

You could teach all the general life skills that are required by about 12 at maximum.

>You have zero fucking clue as to what goes on in any cell, plant or not, safe for the prison cell
Holy Fuck Holland did someone eat your tulips

>Be me
>Father died when i was six yrs old.
>10 yrs later need to do oil change of mothers car for first time.
>Look at engine scratch head for a 1 minute
>Change oil

God damn I had a brother who tried to teach me how to drive and that was basically the same shit. After a while I just got frustrated and took the car out and would always drive around the block to get a feel for it, and then looked up a couple tutorials here and there on how to back in and check your mirrors and what not. I did the same fucking shit learning how to drive a manual (curse being Murrican sometimes)

Went from a month of him trying to teach me and nothing sticking, to a week of me teaching myself and eventually driving myself to school. Never underestimate just how bad a bad teacher is and how good of a teacher a student can be to him/herself if they're willing to improve.

It's pointless literature. Wow, bunch of kids act like absolute animals to their fellow man. The school I went to taught me this basic fact better than a book ever could.

Starship Troopers is actually more valuable as a learning device.

Heh, waffle banter.

>doesn't know how mortgage works
>doesn't know how taxes work
I learned that shit in US Government class.
Must have went to a shitty school.

American schools breed the special snowflake attitude, treating each student as a protege with special skills no one could replace. Everything is personalized, and in this world everyone can become anything under the inclination of their new attitude. Beyond that, public education prioritizes that students memorize rather than teaching critical thought and logical reasoning; instead teaching them to think emotionally. In classrooms everyone is swept along, even the students who lag behind, and are forced along a current that drives them at a social level. Cultural Marxism is very real and ever present in our public education; I grew up experiencing and watching it happen, chugging the kool-aid along with everyone, until life happened and I woke up. These generation of kids are being taught the wrong life skills, and it's being instilled at them from a young age to where they will not question what they're told. It's frightening that this has destroyed a few generation of kids who may never come to the realization I have or many of you have.
